The fact that this "trans game developer harassment" story popped up instantaneously with no concrete evidence after all of the Price garbage means that they have multiple "journalistic" cruise missiles set up to shoot down all opposition to their perceived domination of the gaming press.
The fact that Era accepted it without thinking about it at all means that they are utterly a lost cause.
Today's fun thread titles include one clamoring for people to play as black and/or female characters in online games to annoy racists, and one asking if you can still be progressive while supporting AAA games. Par for the course.

Anyways....got banned off Resetera due to sweetnicole labelling me as a sexist/myso on a previous post and then one of my more recent posts triggered the mods and as i was supposedly a woman hater (post was actually meant to be a neutral post which basically put common sense first)...nope permanban
Did some websearches and came up here as the moderation is a whole other level of shit
is this site accurate for the bans?

didnt they start this site to be a level and neutral site away from all the shit that Gaf had or is it simply the shit from gaf migrated and the followers came along and now they are realising the shit place its becoming ?

just used some archive.org numbers.
posts are pretty linear.
new users slowing down heavily.
posts per day per user going down, too. although if you bann old member, total user numbers is not reflective of the active userbase anymore.
bans per day increase exponentially.
i really hope you manage to scan every post, so we get a more accurate banned + warning count graph.
i know for certain, the banning got more and more the last months. you didn't get banned for this shit in the early days. they advertised the forum als welcoming and open for any option as long as they're expressed reasonably and not in malicious attempts. this is obviously not the case anymore.

It's amazing how people can be shielded from the madness of the forums moderation by what threads they choose to browse.
Anyway,
Reading this thread will give you answers you need. You'll see threads where the first page has more than a dozen bans, arbitrary and downright insane ban reasons and even stranger things. The birth of Resetera starts at around page 160 but you'll want to start earlier to enjoy the "death" of the old Neogaf.
Also,
Evilore was known to be a creep well before #Metoo and nobody cared (Molestation allegations, Mods being literal child molesters that were defended by now Resetera regulars). Inspired by the fall of Weinstein, Evillores actions became a big deal overnight and people began to quit the site en masse to be heroes like the celebrities they saw on TV. Resetera was born from selective outrage, trend-following and opportunism.

God damn they banned nearly 1,000 users in a month? Oof. So much for being a more progressive and inclusive site. They are straight up regressive left if that's the case. Getting down on that other end of the horseshoe / bell curve.
$10 says they make Bishop a mod within the next three months. I also suspect their traffic to decrease by at least 25% in that same time frame. That would level them out with NeoGAF last I checked.

To be fair to them, it's critical to maintain the idealogical purity of the site. Part of me thinks some of these threads are planted to flush out the wrongthinkers, for ease of purging.

Here's a rundown for you (and for those who only recently started following the thread).
NeoGAF gradually became an ideological hive, not unlike ResetERA is now, around 2010.
Due to lax moderation and cronyism amongst the mod staff, the site gradually got taken over by insane neoprogressives in much the same way virtually every left-leaning political site did: by abusing the tolerance of everyone else, and gradually filling out leadership until they'd gotten de facto control. Since Evilore didn't really give a shit as long as the money flowed, his hands-off attitude helped foster this shit, which is a reason that the mod staff quickly became infested with honest-to-god pedophile apologists and similar degenerates, in a similar way to how Lowtax fucked up Something Awful.
Unfortunately by not giving a shit and generally handling shit badly, Evilore opened himself up to being run off, and when an allegation (never proven according to all available data) arose that he'd been involved in a sexual assault came up, the entire site's admin and modding team demanded he step down, possibly trying to sieze control of the site itself in the process. I say this because there's tons of evidence that this was an attempt at a hostile takeover, something Evilore himself alluded to around the time we were discussing ResetERA's finances (around page 358 or so). I'll explain that a bit more later, but for now hold onto it.
Unfortunately for the troons and loons, Evilore wasn't going anywhere, and the result was the NeoGAF admins and mods being told to shut the fuck up and get on task or get the fuck off the site. They'd overplayed their hand in their power-play, and the Mods and Admins jumped ship en masse once it became clear that Evilore wasn't leaving. When these mods and admins left, the hugbox atmosphere of NeoGAF left overnight and the netizenry of NeoGAF was in open revolt, burning the worst offending moderators in effigy as the Social Justice types on NeoGAF looked on in horror. Shitposters overwhelmed the baffles, and the Social Justice types were soon chased off the website.
They'd burned their own hugbox to the ground, and the entire internet laughed, because a group of terrible fucking people had reaped what they had sown. All sides emerged to laugh, from GG supporters to SJWs who hated NeoGAF. It was beautiful. And it was only getting worse: The expat Gaffots would quickly find that they had nowhere to go. No website - not GameFAQs, not IGN, not even otherwise supportive Social Justice havens - wanted anything to do with them and gave all of them the same ultimatum: adhere to the rules of the forum or fuck off.
NeoGAF didn't want them back either. Back at GAF, Evilore bid his mods good riddance when he did a site-wide audit and discovered they'd been involved in ridiculous levels of hugboxing, to the points of banhammering hundreds of accounts for the unthinkable crime of daring to question the narrative of Quinn and Sarkeesian during GG, to say nothing of other shit he discovered going on behind the scenes. Evilore swore to clean the site up, and to his credit, he made NeoGAF a lot less shit. It can be argued that with the departure of its previous mods it had nowhere to go but up, but points for trying.
Ultimately where they ended up going was two sites: Waypoint and ResetERA. The latter was essentially advertised to be just as much of a hugbox as Pre-Crisis NeoGAF, and had gone out of its way to hire the same fucking moderators who caused NeoGAF to burn down in the first place. Waypoint meanwhile was run by the industry cucks, so the two sites wound up splitting traffic. ResetERA wound up being the favorite, which leads us back to that little fact I mentioned earlier:
Someone is making a good deal of money off ResetERA (at least eight grand per month), even though the site's traffic is garbage. Alexa's details that they lose about 1500 users a month, and with them banning so many people, it's not hard to see why their solvency is in question. What's interesting is that its cash per user is very high despite plummeting reach and user statistics. How did it accomplish this? Porn ads, and demanding their users disable adblock, and pay $39.99 per year to view the site without ads.
