True enough; but that's actually clever, and the butt of the joke is the (alleged) pedophile. It's not laughing about monkeys ejaculating on children. And you didn't post eighty of them in the space of a day.
People defend James Gunn at their peril. I know 90% of it is driven not by the honest belief that he's blameless but because this whole thing is being perceived as an alt-right victory (whatever the fuck that means on this day of the week), but his history goes a little beyond making Michael Jackson jokes.
- Regardless of the "they're just jokes" defense, many of his tweets
were not jokes. They were simply bizarre, revolting comments, devoid of context.
- Despite the repeated assertions that he's apologized for them already, from what I understand all he ever apologized for was some survey about which female superhero you'd want to have sex with, which frankly is considerably less disturbing than his other tweets. I don't believe the boyfucking tweets were ever addressed until now.
- Most troubling of all, there's a genuine child porn enthusiast mixed up with this, with whom Gunn traded highly sexual comments. That he didn't Clorox his twitter feed after Huddleston pleaded guilty is astonishing, considering how high profile Gunn became following
Guardians of the Galaxy.
But this is Bob's typical Manicheanism: Gunn was a reliable voice against Trump (and a big wheel in his beloved Marvel teddybear), ergo he is Good and Righteous and Must Be Defended; while everyone against him is an Alt-Right Unevolved Ghoul and Must Be Destroyed.
