My Little Pony

Because I have a lot of trouble getting into "adult" media due to my general optimism, face-blindness, blurring of reality and fantasy, and troubles with understanding people's motivations. Therefore comedies, sci-fi, and children's shows are easier for me to watch.

I can agree with this brand of logic - just as long as what I'm watching isn't condescending to me... Hence why people like this show, for example. Something upbeat in our increasingly cynical world. Even if it is horribly overrated.

I like watching the show (along with some fan-art such as one of the characters dressed up as Solaire) but even then, I just like watching some animated shows (Ed Edd n Eddy, Regular Show, etc.). I will say, the community itself is something of itself (be it bronies or the likes of /MLP/ which despises the name brony) but eh, just another group within the internet that has its own tism, just like with furries, Sonic fans, and any other sperg filled groups.

Some people like to watch cartoons but you got some who get a bit too personal with it such as the guy who thinks he's literally married to Twilight.
 
I like the show. I enjoyed the first two seasons, third season was kinda weak overall, four was slightly better.

I used to consider myself a brony and get all huffy when people were talking shit about us. But then I realized that's just dumb. So now I just consider myself someone who likes the show.
 
It's... Okay. Nothing truly revolutionary, but a breath of fresh air in comparison to the royal fucktons of shit that certain networks churn out without remorse. I mean, wow, how much edgy, immature shit with totally unrelatable and unlikable jackass main characters is there?

Surprise has always been my favourite, but I need to get around to getting the supplies to fix her up so she'll look pretty again.

Also, the principal songwriter for the show, Daniel Ingram, has such a raging boner for Stephen Sondheim, you can't help but appreciate that.

I'm actually semi-familiar with the current MLP generation but only because I watch The Hub a lot (well, used to. They're not really playing things like Step by Step, Blossom, Family Ties and ALF all that much anymore) and that channel obviously whores the Ponies out.

I was a little surprised to see Spike involved in the generation, to be honest. He didn't even get a major redesign aside from the whole style the show got.
 
I was fucking obsessed with horses as a kid and would have gone nuts over this show had it come out around the year 2000. I started watching the show to appease my inner-child and stayed for characters like Discord and Luna.
