Trashfire The BetterHelp, CreatorHealth, InfluenceLogic Rabbit Hole - Candid 2.0, brought to you by Joel Robbinson

DeFranco's newest video sorta addresses this shit, though he largely focuses on the language that's in the terms and conditions. To his credit, even though he's still sort of defending it, he has put a temporary moratorium on their sponsorships.

Is the address listed there the address of her practice or her house? This is what it looks like in street view.

Additionally, looking over the Facebook it seems that she is a "hypnotherapist." Boogie did mention that she had him do exercises of some sort. Perhaps this gives a clue as to what that could actually mean?

I think you just gave away your first name
That's the account that archive.is uses so that the service can archive Facebook stuff (because most Facebook stuff requires an account to see). It saves the site via the server, not via the client. Also a good way to see stuff on Facebook without an account (because only a tard would have a Facebook and think their identity is safe).

Phil has talked about the betterhelp drama
tl;dr he is putting a hold on betterhelp sponorships until the tos is changed
He needs to get way more shit for this but looking at the likes and dislikes he won't, It's great that everyone is over looking in his comments that he and his team didn't even do basic research into them before this shit storm but he trusts them for some reason which surely isn't money. Also way more than two issues with betterhelp as well.

Does this moratorium apply to all rogue rocket referral links, though? Because I'm pretty sure he can pretend to be investigating all this while his network still rakes in the cash from the other links.

He also mentioned he's taking a tour of the facility with a critic that was reporting the controversy. Someone that's not sponsored I guess. Didn't name who though.

There could be some clues to that in this article from last year
https://www.fastcompany.com/4042379...romise-but-raises-plenty-of-ethical-questions
https://archive.is/wZbYi
quite a few critical people here like this woman "Last year The Verge published an anonymously sourced investigative piece in which an independent contractor therapist for BetterHelp’s rival, Talkspace, alleging she was unable to contact a client whose child she believed was being endangered."
no doubt will try to use someone with a "professional" public image.
Doh posted wrong bit initially

"Tour of the facility" What a load of horseshit. Just because they have a nice place on site and show you they are doing everything right doesn't change the fact that they are a MLM (multi-level marketing) scheme.

https://youtu.be/oqkSo-fgxUQ?t=904

This is how they likely sell it to people:"Just pay 400 dollars to join as a counselor and everyone you get to join or use the service for X months gives you Y money and the money will just keep flowing to infinity!" The whole referral code thing redirecting to other people is exactly how this coffee thing did it too. Someone in my family fell for it and It took a long ass time to get them off of it.

Throw in the obvious data selling and other privacy concerns + the fact that its targeting people who are more vulnerable then usual and we have probably what is the most pervasive MLM scheme I've ever seen.

Thank you for the information, though the question becomes, are you required to sign such a form to start sessions with BetterHelp? I haven’t tried going that far in the process, nor have I seen anyone show that far in. All I know is that a line in the terms of service wouldn’t hold up in court.

I'm not sure, but they have to provide the HIPPA notice on a separate page*, buring it in the TOS would not work.
It sounds sort of like they're trying to avoid being labeled as medical provider to avoid all this shit. unsure how that would work in practice.

*:autism: they are not required to, but if you don't you're dumb as hell. As was explained to me since you can basically force them to not share your data, anything else that you signed on that page would be null and void, they separate it out for filing and to keep a refusal from the patient from shitting up the other forms and rending them voided as well.

It sounds faggy to say, but DeFranco being one of the more established "YouTube (((Influencers)))" and being able to maintain a steady audience for such a long time (I've known about him since around 2009, if my memory serves me correctly) only makes him look more like an asshole for not vetting this beyond if the check cleared. Rogue Rocket being in so many links is proof enough to me that he knows exactly what he's doing. Moratorium my ass.

I can give some lesser YouTubers some leniency because they were excited to be offered a sponsorship, but I think that DeFranco's hesitancy to talk about BetterHelp's issues in more explicit terms beyond the TOS being shifty as all hell tells a lot about how much he cares. Like I said, it sounds gay as shit, but DeFranco does have enough pull within YouTube that you'd think he'd weigh how responsible he could be for a lot of gullible people getting scammed, if he is as innocent as he claims.

I use Filmora. I got carried away with the wormhole transitions.
I don't mean to discredit you in any way, I might just be too > boomer for my own good. The traction you've gotten for this is really admirable, and I appreciate you putting the info together in the first place.

:autism: but I noticed immediately in that screenshot of "totally missing the point" a few pages ago (whether sociopathy is a binary condition/"therapist" blethers about gender) that Kati Morton uses the same "blushing smile" emoji so beloved of Chris-Chan.

(If you really want a large helping of :autism::autism::autism:, being a MST3K fan makes the name "Joel Robinson" completely agonizing in this context.)

In his defence mode /fire fighting video he gives alot away
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1eVfq1PTn4
from Defrancos own mouth
"I'm not sure how familiar you are with these videos (better help) or the business side of things we have talked about on the Defranco elite , better help has been a sponsor of our videos , we have even partnered with them at a company level to help them with other sponsorships with other you tubers " also.......... shill shill shill
so he partnered at the company level with better help , memeology 101 also mentioned the creation of the Defranco elite and the boom in the number of better health videos co-insiding on the killstream.

Well.... I was sorta right earlier when bigger yt'ers would backpeddel and claim they had no idea it was a scam. I thought they would at least have the decency to back off and let better help suffer the imploding heat death it deserves and not dig their heels in and "Demand clear answers and bring along a 'totally independant and unbiased journalist' to get to da truth!!" God these people and the levels they will sink to.... Disgusting

Post revised (went down the wrong rabbit hole).

Teladoc has a subsidiary called Compile, Inc d/b/a as BetterHelp (as registered on the CA secretary of state site)

This SEC document lists Compile Inc as d/b/a as BetterHelp (d/b/a means "doing business as").

I've also uploaded Teladoc's SEC Form 10-Q (comprehensive quarterly report that must be submitted).

On page 6 of the document it mentions this:
The Company completed the acquisitions of Compile, Inc. d/b/a BetterHelp (“BetterHelp”) and Stat Health Services Inc. (“StatDoc”) in 2015, two companies engaged in telehealth activities similar to those of Teladoc. Additionally in 2015, the Company acquired certain assets from Gateway to Provider Access, Inc. (“Gateway”) which was engaged in the marketing, selling and administering the Company’s services through other third parties. Upon the effective date of each respective merger, each entity merged with and into Teladoc.

On page 23, this:
On January 23, 2015, we completed the acquisition of Compile, Inc. d/b/a BetterHelp (“BetterHelp”), a provider of direct-to-consumer, behavioral health services, for $3.3 million net of cash acquired, and a $1.0 million promissory note and we have agreed to make annual payments to the sellers equal to a percentage of the total net revenue generated by the BetterHelp business through February 2019. This acquisition helped us broaden our service into the direct-to-consumer and behavioral health sector.

In Mid 2017, Teladoc filed an 8k (document acknowledging corporate changes regarding merger of Best Doctors).

Item 1.02 Termination of a Material Definitive Agreement.

On July13, 2017, the Company terminated all commitments and repaid all amounts outstanding under (i)the Credit Agreement, dated as of July11, 2016 (as amended, restated, or otherwise modified from time to time) by and among the Company, Teladoc Physicians, P.A., Compile,Inc., Stat Health, LLC, HY Holdings,Inc. and Silicon Valley Bank and (ii)the Amended and Restated Loan and Security Agreement originally dated May2, 2014 (as amended, restated, or otherwise modified from time to time) by and between the Company, Teladoc Physicians, P.A., Compile,Inc., Stat Health, LLC, HY Holdings,Inc. and Silicon Valley Bank.

Their filling from Q1 of this year (end of March 2018 mentions the merger and Teladoc's interest in the subsidiary companies on Note 2.

Note 2. Basis of Presentation and Principles of Consolidation

Basis of Presentation and Principles of Consolidation

The accompanying unaudited consolidated financial statements of the Company have been prepared in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) and applicable rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) regarding interim financial reporting. In the opinion of the Company’s management, the accompanying unaudited consolidated financial statements contain all adjustments (consisting of normal recurring accruals and adjustments) necessary to present fairly the financial position, results of operations and cash flows of the Company at the dates and for the periods indicated. The interim results for the three months ended March 31, 2018 are not necessarily indicative of results for the full 2018 calendar year or any other future interim periods. As such, the information included in this quarterly report on Form 10-Q should be read in conjunction with the consolidated financial statements and accompanying notes included in the Company’s Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2017.

The unaudited consolidated financial statements include the results of Teladoc, its wholly owned subsidiaries, two professional associations and twenty two professional corporations and a service corporation (collectively, the “Association”).

Teladoc Physicians, P.A. is party to several Services Agreements by and among it and the professional corporations pursuant to which each professional corporation provides services to Teladoc Physicians, P.A. Each professional corporation is established pursuant to the requirements of its respective domestic jurisdiction governing the corporate practice of medicine.

The Company holds a variable interest in the Association which contracts with physicians and other health professionals in order to provide services to Teladoc. The Association is considered a variable interest entity (“VIE”) since it does not have sufficient equity to finance its activities without additional subordinated financial support. An enterprise having a controlling financial interest in a VIE, must consolidate the VIE if it has both power and benefits—that is, it has (1) the power to direct the activities of a VIE that most significantly impact the VIE’s economic performance (power) and (2) the obligation to absorb losses of the VIE that potentially could be significant to the VIE or the right to receive benefits from the VIE that potentially could be significant to the VIE (benefits). The Company has the power and rights to control all activities of the Association and funds and absorbs all losses of the VIE.

It looks like the merger with Best Doctors essentially eliminated Teladoc Physicians p.a, and the other subsidaries (including Compile, Inc) were re-incorporated this year or end of last year.

Nigger, DeFranco is friends with those kikes leading the scam, he knows what hes doing and is just pulling a damage control to look innocent

Nice this isnt a rabbit hole its a rabbit warren
Gotta admit, I had to look up rabbit warren. Yes, but this is also standard for a lot of companies. I think anyone involved in Telehealth should be viewed with a lot of suspicion and I would bet a lot money that those Telehealth companies have "Analytic" Companies behind them compiling all that data.
