  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Oh I know where and why they spam that shit; because it wasn't until fairly recently that the GOP forced the evangelicals into the back. You know, the ones that would say shit like how the gays are degenerates and how they shouldn't shit up the 'sanctity' of marriages and so on. The type of tard like Todd Akin with the legitimate rape shit. It's just a mutation of baiting (which usually was race baiting back in the heady Dem days of Sam Yorty, but now it's -ism baiting), where they could use the stupidest members of the group to poison the well against the whole. This would work around five to ten years ago when the fundies and neocons were at the captain's wheel for the GOP, but the problem is that this tactic doesn't work anymore since the target they're trying to do this with is a far different beast than the one back then.

The Regressive Left is too exceptional and shortsighted to change their strategy beyond this baiting shit. No future platform; no positive plan, just baiting, tantruming like a sped, and sex perversion. Hell, I'll tell you that the only Dem I'm likely to vote for this midterm got that privilege since she actually has a platform and strategy beyond REEEE if she gets elected and tries to have herself or family meet us locals to talk problems in the community.

Just to tack on a corollary, the Republicans have remembered something the Democrats are largely forgetting these days: at the end of the day, the voters, as a whole, are all human beings.

Back when the Republicans had the fundies and idiots at the helm, they did the whole moralistic condemnation of voters they despised while appealing to a fanatical niche and kept getting their asses kicked for it.

Things have flipped, with the Republicans cloaking themselves in the mantle of defending the downtrodden the majority of Democrats are fond of spitting on and being willing to welcome former enemies to the fold without demanding ridiculous purity tests.

Trump proved the value of this strategy, and the Republicans have been catching on, with recent Kavanaugh kerfuffle being a good example of said strategem in action.

I know a black girl who was obsessed with Harry Potter before news came out that Rowling is a huge fucking idiot. I couldn't tell you what they see in it, though. Shipping opportunities?
It's a fun little universe for kids and adults alike. Weak ending, though.

Although, this stuff isn't all that different from the formula you see with the academy stuff in Shounen manga. I think this one just really hit it off in the West.

I'm liking this new Republican political tactic of just mocking protesters. First Lindsey Graham and now Mike Pence waving to a small group of screechers.

Genuinely what the fuck is up with white women and Harry Potter? I once went over to a tinder chick's apartment and she had this fucking huge ass harry potter shrine covering her entire wall. Like life sized brooms, all the versions and reprints of every book, figurines and shit... And pretty much every white girl I've dated had an obsession with it to lesser degrees.
It was basically Star Wars for millenial girls, especially the 'nerdy' ones. The books and the movies were a sizable cultural phenomenon in the 2000s and the now grown up dangerhaired segment of that audience finds the story of students #resisting a fascist coup d'etat relatable.

Two spergs for the price of one.

Figures that an Alliance fan in WoW would say something like that, unless there are Horde spergs out there that would also sperg about Trump. Which is probably the case since Horde fans are a LOT more vocal about the franchise as a whole.

Eh, on my server, Hordies are the most likely to freak out and start sperging about Trump or social-justice talking points. But A-side wouldn't be any better if one of the most consequential guilds there wasn't run by a Trump supporter.

These people aren't getting better any time soon.

A pair of activist comedians followed around Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade, lobbing hostile questions at him on Friday. If you are a public figure after all, you may get questions with or without a camera when you are walking down a public street (in fact, Mediaite has used a roving paparazzi in the past as well).

But they didn’t stop there.

Jason Selvig and Davram Stiefler, who are known as “The Good Liars,” then trailed Kilmeade into a NYC subway and encouraged fellow passengers to jeer at him in what increasingly felt like a potentially perilous situation for the Fox host.

It started with Selvig posing for a selfie with a smiling Kilmeade. But it was clearly a set-up, with Selvig then asking Kilmeade if he was “accused of sexually harassing Gretchen Carlson.” It turned ugly from there.

Selvig follows Kilmeade through Midtown, repeatedly calling after him, and noting that his “backpack is on crooked.”

He eventually follows Kilmeade onto the subway where Stiefler makes an appearance, announcing the Fox News host to the crowded car.

“Hey everyone, this is Brian Kilmeade, he says lots of weird, kinda racisty stuff on the news a lot,” Stiefler says.

“This is the closest personal adviser to Donald Trump, the Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade,” Selvig adds. “If you have anything you want Donald Trump to say or do, tell this guy cause he’s the only person in America that Donald Trump listens to.” (While it’s true that Fox & Friends is the president’s morning fare, Kilmeade is the one host of the three who has been willing to criticize and/or question the president’s actions.)

One straphanger yells “He’s a career criminal, he’s a traitor, he should go to hell!”

“Brian did you get that?” Selvig asks.

“Stop grabbing pussies!” a man yells, echoing Trump.

While Kilmeade cooly ignores the jeers, he was effectively trapped in a subway car with two people encouraging random New Yorkers to go after him. To understand the potential safety issue, those who lean left should just substitute two right leaning comedians stalking and heckling Rachel Maddow or Stephanie Ruhle, in a more right leaning town, in a confined public space, encouraging them to insult and jeer at them.

The duo then follows Kilmeade off the subway, and to a Jamba Juice where Selvig offers Kilmeade $10 to tell Trump to resign on Fox & Friends. Kilmeade, by this point on the phone, continues to ignore the badgering. Fortunately no one got hurt, although the incident may lead Kilmeade, or any other public political figure, to think twice about taking public transportation.

TLDR: Fox News employees can't even get on a subway without the #resistance sperging out on them.

I can't wait to see the meltdowns when Ginsburg finally kicks it. I also hope the beetus takes sotomayor soon. I honestly don't care if they get replaced with Liberals as long as long they are liberals who have IQs over room temperature and actually use the constitution and not their feelings to make their rulings.

The article on harassing Kilmeade said:

Which essentially tells you that it's not about your actual thoughts or opinions, it's about guilt by association. If you are connected with the Bad People, then may God have mercy on your soul because these people surely won't.

Dude, that's a wee fucked up.

Honestly though, I would support term limits at this point. Ginsburg is 85 fucking years old. And while she may still be sharp, in the past there have been dudes on the court who were flat out senile. The idea of a William O. Douglas situation scares the living shit out of me. Other than impeachment, there's really nothing you can do.

At least with Congress, senators and reps have to re-run for office. Once you're on that court, you're on there for life, until you either croak or retire. Maybe term limits, and/or a manditory retirement age would be best.

FDR tried to introduce a mandatory retirement clause as part of his bid to "pack" the courts.

Backfired on him hard, and while I'm sure the memory has generally faded, anyone who dares try to introduce something similar will be accused of planning to pack the court or assist others in doing so.

There's no bias at Google, though.
Polished the final nail in the coffin? What the fuck? Does this dude think coffins were built entirely out of fingernails like the fucking Naglfar? Only a nu-male could fail to understand you hammer nails into a coffin.

If you wanna annex anything, annex Quebec, that would be a boon for the US.
I'd rather have Alberta. It's like Texas with snow. I'd be ok with BC too if we made Vancouver and Seattle a Canadian province and Operation Wetback the Portland transplants to it. I'm sure Warren Buffet would donate cattle cars and track time for that.

October 7th We lost the battle but have won the war! We never actually wanted to stop Kavanaugh.
November 7th Oh we also didn't really want to win the Midterms.
That is some prime goal post moving.
They are beyond goal post moving. They tore the goal post down, marched down main street, and threw it in the river. They just don't know you are supposed to do that after you win.
