It's probable that they may introduce Snake and others. Nintendo did recently jump on the DLC phenomenon after all.
The Wii U version's gonna have the same characters as 3DS, but they may announce new content next year. Can't wait for my Snake amiibo.

This is just my opinion but I'm thinking he's already on the disc since he's so hinted in that event post.

I find is suspicious as hell that there are 40 starting characters. They could just add a free update and say they were keeping some secrets to be revealed on the Wii U version. Nobody said the 3DS had all the characters, just that they will have the same roster.

I know, I know, rate me all your optimistics.
 
With Mewtwo being DLC despite already having trophies, it wouldn't be surprising if the other DLC characters happened to be the ones cut from this game. I'd like to see Wolf and/or Snake as the next DLC pack. Maybe even have a new character such as Isaac, Impa, or Chorus Men.

...I may get some shit for this one, but I really wanted Hades from KI. I know KI is over repped as all hell but I honestly think Hades was an entertaining enough character that I would not be mad if he got in simply because I liked him so much and we need more villains.

If we got another KI rep I would rather have Magnus as opposed to Hades.

Also goddamnit Skull Kid should have been playable in this game but noooooooooooo.

It really hurts how he's stated that almost all Assist Trophies were pitched as characters first barring the obvious ones like Pong but they decided against it for whatever reason.

Why Magnus though? I doubt he could work in Smash, his sword would have ridiculously fucking range and power.

Magnus is a cool character from Uprising...and thats about it. It IS true we already have a guy with a bigass sword with Ike so I guess we don't really need to have Magnus here.

I'm probably gonna get lambasted for this but I think Dark Pit could work better than most of the characters in the game. If they flesh out DP's moveset to represent numerous weapons from Uprising I think he could be a pretty solid fighter on his own.

Also does anyone want to play with me right now? I could PM my friend code.

What kind of matches do you want to do? I'm fine for any kind but I do need to do some very specific training sometime today since there's an online tournament I'm in tomorrow.

I'd love to play though. I'm having a really hard day.

Good. That's what I needed. Specifically I need training on 2 Stock, 5 m timer 1v1 Battlefield, Yoshi's Island or FD. That sound good?

Sakurai is a hilariously awesome troll, so it wouldn't surprise me if he DID hide all kinds of hints and such in the 50 fact stream. There's a few videos on YouTube of people already finding stuff

Do you just love when you're playing For Glory against a Falcon main, and before the start of the match they go "SHOW ME YOUR MOVES!" and then you respond back with one of your taunts?
