How's this working out for ya?

Apparently Resetera is currently in a state of celebration because of Youtube blocking the popular gameplay channel Shirrako for publishing a video gameplay of Red Dead Redemption 2 where he kills a feminist NPC:
Looks like https://resetera.live/ was operated by a guy named Shao Kahn who was banned for 1 week from the forum.

I must be confused with another ResetEra poster with a feminine name and avatar but is in fact male.
My favorite reply of all those is the "fucking gamers" one.
Shirrako already did that, too, where he killed all the KKK. All of them. Every single one. The man eliminated racism, but that's not good enough for REEEEEEEEEEEsetERA.My favorite part is "Just imagine if I posted a video like that of white men being mowed down"
Yeah, imagine the outrage. My favorite part is "Just imagine if I posted a video like that of white men being mowed down"
Imagine if ResetERA was around back when the early 3D GTA games were released.Someone told Shirrako about ResetERA's response to his channel takedown and recovery.
His response was this:
ResetERA was fucking apoplectic, of course:

While RetardERA debates how best to respond to this new threat to female-identifying persons, (with one of them repeatedly arguing that Shirrako's posting these is against the law in his country and others suggesting he should be doxed) I found this.... Fucking masterpiece:

I swear to fucking god, this exchange was real. This actually happened.
Iowa, would you kindly?

I don't understand why when you have a bunch of people whose sole accomplishment is to nosedive every platform they've ever been on and whose opinions are about as popular as Chron's Disease, attached to a market model that is provably hemorrhaging money, you'd just keep doubling down with these assclowns.
Nobody sets out to become a "games journalist." Nobody ever got asked what they wanted to be when they grew up and answered a "games journalist" any more than anyone would have answered "I want to grow up to be a pederast."
It's a position you fail into from being a completely worthless human being.
VICE is laying off a bunch of people, Waypoint might get cut. Was going to post something in the Waypoint thread but since it got brought up. https://www.resetera.com/threads/waypoint-ot-video-games-are-good.531/page-48Ever notice how whenever one of the "Game Journalism" outlets inevitably self-destruct (like Joystiq), undergo a mass layoff (Giantbomb), have their parent company crash into a dumpster (like Kotaku), or otherwise implode (like The Escapist), there's always some group or another waiting in the wings to give these people a place to fail at? Austin here has been at like 2 different places, but everyone in whatever the fuck the Game Journo version of the Rat King is has been through several.

A cult doesn't have to be profitable to find a place for their members.....So in conclusion, this shit isn't profitable. Why do people keep propping it up?
There's an unproven business meme that SocJus types use to convince corporations to support them. The meme is that by focusing on diversity instead of the core product they can bring in more women and PoCs (Asians count as white), which would outweigh alienating say 10-20% of your existing userbase. I know of no examples where this strategy was implemented successfully, it's almost always resulted in failure. The meme is relatively new, so executives are likely not certain how effective it is.....So in conclusion, this shit isn't profitable. Why do people keep propping it up?
