H3H3 was popular? I saw his name come on quite a bit, but I never much bothered to look into him beyond one video that left me incredibly bored. The only reason I even know of him was when Filthy Frank did a few videos together with the guy and it was always so painfully awkward. Not in the "PRANKD" intentional awkwardness Joji created, but the genuine kind that feels like Ethan only did that stuff because of the guy's viewcount, despite how weirded out he was by the comedy.
It really makes me wonder why he decided to up and fuck off to some stupid podcast if he was doing well for himself on YouTube. He clearly wants to keep creating content if he's still on the podcast and, if he really doesn't want to make videos anymore, why not just tell everyone outright instead of making them hold their breaths? I don't really count seven videos vomiting apologies and excuses as to why his production "slowed down". Lastly: "Depression". Goddamnit. When are people going to stop thinking depression is a good justification for being a lazy sack of shit? It's not the same thing.
You should watch that video take down that went viral. The dude calculated H3H3 basically makes thousands of dollars on a single podcast because there's like, three ad breaks and several hundred thousand viewers at a time. It's way easier money than like, actually putting work into something. He's probably making more money than he ever has, if not the same amount for less effort.
