The apple-turnover nose and Hulk hands are well done, but there aren't nearly enough bumps and blemishes on the skin, thereby revealing Mathe Mayjicks as a chauvinist of some description if not an outright white supremacist.

An exemplary piece of ableist art. Three characters are depicted, and yet none are disabled. (Seriously – THREE whole characters, and yet 卐 Frizz Kid Art 卐 couldn't include even ONE disabled character?) The fact that the only African character has shaven xir head (or perhaps forcibly had xir head shaved by xir white captors) can only be interpreted as a statement against natural hair.

The fact that the population of this drawing is literally two-thirds white is also suspect, if not outright incriminating.

This alt-right artist isn't as subtle as his colleagues – note how this character is openly using a white supremacist hand gesture.

First Time Poster Longtime Lurker.
All of this art really pisses me off
The New Ducktales seems to be a Goldmine for this stuff
It's a shame because the show is genuinely cute and a good reboot.

there seems to be an obsession with making the red triplet Trans, there was a ton of art and edits of that, but none of it was THAT bad. Let me know If I´ve fucked up this post I´m trying to get a handle on the format.
I know what you mean. I can understand people making the humanitization of Mark Beaks black since he is an African gray parrot, but the vitiligo is overkill. I don't get why they'd think Huey (the red nephew) is a tranny since there's no evidence of him having dysforia or displaying any feminine aspects.

There's also some people who do the whole Gyro is trans headcannon, because he doesn't have the waddle that roosters (like the hosts of the show-within-the-show Ottoman Empire) on the show have. I know there are other reasons as well that I can't remember.

EDIT: There was one that had a storyline where transman Gyro got together with Fenton and gave birth to his kid.

I think Huey is their go to because hes the most femminine of the 3? Cause he likes books, and rules and... petrified wood?? maybe?? Im really at a loss, but there is a LOT of edits of this

there was one where they had him wearing a lesbian bracelet and a skirt with the colors of the trans flag but I cant seem to find it

That's a silly reason to think he's trans just because he's more intellectual and orderly than his brothers and an oddball in his own way. These are the kind of people who think a horrid disorder that causes the victim psychological angst (to put it lightly) is just a cutesy trait.

i cant find the screenshots right now, but a japanese person on twitter confirmed that any reference to Lily's "transness" in zombie land saga is absolutely not there in the japanese version and shes very much meant to be a regular ol trap

the misleading translation wasnt just a mistake, it was PURPOSEFULLY wrong translation on good ol crunchyroll's part again

Even if you don't have screenshots, can you elaborate on the nature of the mistranslation? I have several friends trying to convince me that the scene was translated correctly, or that it's even more 'obvious' Lily is trans in the Japanese version, but no one can come up with direct reasons on either side.

This thread is ultimately what got me to make an account, because I wanted to do some digging on the whole Zombieland Saga trans drama. Someone mentioned that a Japanese tweet said she wasn't trans so I went to find something that confirmed it.

I managed to find someone who is either Japanese or speaks the language fluently, and the attached screenshot is what they had to say on the matter.

Basically, Lily is an Otokonoko, which is basically crossdressing, but more intense. While in the West crossdressing has a stigma attached to it, in Japan it really doesn't so people are more free with how they express themsleves with it, and it can become a core part of people's identities. Japan's counterculture is as mainstream as its actual culture, so things like this are more or less accepted at face value by most people and Otokonoko are their own subculture. The West doesn't really have anything like it, since again it's simply more then crossdressing, so it's really hard to translate properly (unless the character in question is super flamboyant as more mainstream examples of Otokonoko tend to be).

The real issues comes from a necessary translation change (admittedly one that could have been handled better) being misunderstood by SJWs.

On the subject of trans huey. Why don't they make him look more like their mom then make him look like webby? I have no problems with genderbending, it's a fun what if, but why make him trans. It feels so half assed to me and make me frustrated on some levels since you can't go to any fandom without trans headcannon being forced bjed on you. Just go all the way you half assed losers.

i'm wondering how Tumblr is taking all of this

because genderbends are ""transphobic"" now according to Tumblr and if you enjoy/make them you're a transmisogynist cis scumbag who deserves to die

I scanned browed Pixiv and Tumblr for art and all the art on Tumblr is Lily with a trans flag ( despite that not being in character at all ) and Pixiv is mostly just good art and the only Trans flag or color image is from a western artist whos whole gallery of stuff like that. As you said there isnt really a western equivalent to Otokonoko but Trap is sure as hell more accurate than Trans.

Anyway here is THE LEGENDARY YAMADA TAE a character whos entire vocabulary is grunting noises suddenly advocating for gay right?.
and I've finally found art someone being turned black.

i believe [but dont take me word for a 100% cause IM not japanese] that lily was simply referred to as "a guy" and "Masao" and her friends make some reassuring "lmao who cares" comments

That was both the best and worst pun I've ever heard, thank you. Anyway, time for a discussion:

What do you think are good and bad ways to show sexuality and gender "representation" in media?
just like what some ppl had said before, their sexuality and gender must not be the most prominent trait from a character and the story must not revolved around it except if it's indeed about the character struggle with their sexuality with their life

One of 'good' example for a such character in mainstream game/anime/manga I guess would be Belial from Granblue Fantasy.
480px-Belial_NPC.png

He's depicted as (most possibly) omnisexual but he clearly stated that he's into men, seducing at least 2 male characters in the game and there's a line that implicitly showing he fuck a certain character on that scene (I had made sure from the Japanese voice as well as the translation that had been toned down in game, both are clearly stated about it)
For a character that proud with his sexuality into men(as well as to others, heck he would even fuck a dragon),he's not depicted as a stereotypical joke character, instead he looks so much attractive that twitter basically explodes with tags about him the day the character introduced in game (he even become one of GBF most popular character to date)
As for his role in game,he's the main villain and important character on the event where he got introduced for the 1st time and will return in the next part by the end of february next year as one of the key character

I'm glad that ppl on twitter or tumblr haven't made any cursed fanarts about him...I hope not oh god I hope not

Yeah, the Western fandom is adamantly shouting down people who say Lily is an otokonoko/trap because "they identify as men, and Lily identifies as a girl", even though that line decidedly isn't all that present in Japanese culture. The crux of the issue is that someone who lives full-time as a girl and isn't seeking surgery would most likely be considered an otokonoko in Japan, but trans in the very recent west.

Long story short, Lily identifies as a girl, and is treated as such by the rest of the zombies, however Japan's identity politics are very different from the West, so she isn't trans in the sense that the SJWs want her to be. If people would stop shoving pride flags into every piece of art and would stop putting their own agendas in the mouths of the rest of the cast, it would be fine.

I can't wait till the last four episodes make dumb gender and sex related jokes at her expense and the western fandom goes rabid.

In all fairness, the Cabellaros have been shipped together since.. what? The 70s? And it doesn't look that egregious for a polygamous homosexual set up. Like, none of them have self harm scars and have stretch marks or vitiligo.

Really, the fact that the Brazilian and the Mexican are too white is cause for concern.

Not every breed of chicken will have roosters with wattles. Honestly, I would never had guessed he was supposed to be a chicken, since he lacks a comb as well.
