I have noticed that Dave has been acting differently lately. He's has been banning people in his chat, talking shit about detractors, not following through on Patreon goals, refusing to do a little extra to improve his streams, blaming the game and other players for his poor performance, clocking out exactly on time...

Oh wait, that's What he always does.

The $16k matches up pretty well with what people here estimated Phil would owe in taxes on an assumed $100k+ income. Given that he's stated repeatedly that he didn't make the quarterly tax payments for this year, that would square. So "to be okay" could mean a lot of things--maybe he can't refinance if he's in arrears on taxes, for instance (not that the refi will actually help all that much). It's more of Phil's squirrely wording so he can have it mean whatever is convenient at a given time.

Except Phil was consulted and had it explained to him when he got his Finance degree in college. There is absolutely no excuse for him to be in this situation. He tells his viewers that it’s all because of those detractors, but they never made him be irresponsible with his money. After eight fucking years, it’s never occurred to him to put some of the money away on the side for taxes, that not all of that money is actually his to keep.

I have never referred to myself as a “grown, mature adult” despite having been one for quite some time now. Have you noticed Phil seems to do that a lot, as if he’s trying to convince everyone he is? Trying to find the right words to describe Phil and I found this:

Yes that is correct. Forget where he said this but once he saves up enough money and retires from streaming he wants to open an italian restaurant.

BTW it lists DSP's lender on his public records and they have one star on google. He must have gone with a shady group.

Spot on. If the moron had any sense he'd set a goal of the highest donaters to be next months mods, keeping them all on their toes and forcing them to give big. Expect that to start happening soon if he's on here reading this.

As I've said before, he almost certainly got a trash mortgage with interest-only payments for the first 5-10 years.

I suspect that his mortgage payments are about to balloon and that's why he's desperate to refinance the home loan.

That sort of thing is actually bannable on Twitch, you can't be quite so transparent when doing paid-for modding of people.
