Ehh those aren’t the kind of things you can play with since most good quliaty statues don’t have movable pieces (maybe sans different hands and perhaps a head). Chances are numbnuts dropped them or packed them wrong and broke them during the move. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Or, he used to post on R/CummingOnFigurines...

He specifically said they broke while he was touching them normally. This implies that he would touch them on a regular basis. I bet he was playing with $800 statues like they were G.I. Joes.

I’m just fucking baffled by this (as a collector myself). For what purpose aside from maybe changing the positions of where the statue sits or cleaning them would you have to touch usually very heavy solid statues? My collection sits on a shelf and gets a dusting every few weeks typically with some compressed air. If you are touching these things “normally” they deserve to break because they are display pieces. Especially the ones he had.

Phil's special hot glue.

I can't stop laughing at: "touching them normally"

Remember in the video where he showed off his hoard he was lusting after all the female figures.:story:

Phil definitely jerked off to his Scarlet Witch and Poison Ivy Barbie dolls. At least back when he could get it up.

Some people say it's impossible for DSP to raise the money he says he needs by April. I have a cartoon for you:

Some people say it's impossible to pull yourself up with your bootstraps. DSP is this man. DSP finds a way to do the impossible. Is he in any better of a situation afterward? Fuck no.

But he pulled himself up with his bootstraps.

Damn, did he really pay $800 for those? And I think he owned most of those before the big Youtube money came in. Anyone know when he got those exactly?

I'm watching the hoarding video now. He owns a Hulk, She-Hulk, Poison Ivy, Black Cat, Emma Frost and a Skrull. I thought he had a Doctor Doom too but it's not in this video. And that's just his Marvel/DC ones, can't forget he also owns a Shredder and a shit ton of Street Fighter and other video game related status.

I think he loves them and doesn't actually want to sell them but wants to act like he does.

The money was coming in before he started to get serious about collecting. Before that point he only had a few tiny figures around the condo including a full collection of Street Fighter II Mini's which you could only get at the arcades back in the day - some of which came from his deceased gangland shooting victim friend "T". His story about keeping them all because they reminded him of his buddy was one of the few times I ever felt any genuine human warmth coming off of DSP. And that was at least 8 years ago I guess.

As I recall he broke the comb on his PCS Guile statue which cost about $500 retail at the time of release. I think he damaged his 1:6 scale Scorpion statue as well. Honestly this stuff does naturally happen with these things over time it's not that uncommon for bits and pieces to fall off statues and figures. Knowing DSP he probably did drop them though. He also kept his Sideshow Black Cat bust (which goes for about $450 these days) in his bedroom back in the condo. Seemed like he liked waking up to her lol. Bear in mind there was speculation a while back he was selling some of them through another ebay seller. All in though I don't think it's too far fetched to estimate he probably spent at minimum 5k in accumulating them all. That's not including stuff like two replica gears of war rifles that he used in P7. Pretty sure these cost hundreds of dollars each as well and insisted he just had to buy them for use in the show as props. Can't recall but fairly sure they showed up in Project 7 for about 10 seconds max right?

All of his stories about Past Phil paint him as The Big Dick on Campus when he was in high school

For "Top Haters", Phil's first attempt at a forum, he gave himself the moniker "Big Phil". Here he goes over the difficulties of self-chosen nicknames properly appearing. A sample: "For example, my login is BigPhil, but I can change the appearance of my nickname in my profile to say "Big Phil is the Man" with all those spaces."

To quote my own post, Phil said during his Project 7 Retrospective "he spent 'about over a thousand dollars' on props, including needlessly ordering 'pretty expensive' video game replicas: two Gears of War guns and one 'giant Mass Effect assault rifle' that didn't even arrive in time for shooting. Further, props were purchased for future episodes that weren't made, including a Portal replica gun".

Ah yeah that's right I remember the Mass Effect rifle as well. Don't think he ever flashed the Portal gun on camera. I'm fairly sure John and Howard even tried to talk him out of some of these purchases since they thought he was getting ahead himself (DSP has never done that before right?) but of course he just used any excuse to splash the cash because he really believed the ride would never end. The amount of money he's taken and basically flushed down the toilet through the years is insane. And today he has the cheek to cry about having 0 monies in his account.

He has a house filled with stuff he could be making money on right now but I really think he believes having to give up anything he owns is truly beneath him. He's so out of touch with reality even his idea of slumming it is to do without a weekend wallet splurge while he's out with his girl. I just miss old DSP who simply couldn't stop himself from showing off all his trinkets because I bet he blew a bundle on Kat over christmas alone. And it probably kills him even more than anyone else that he can't show off like he used to for fear of being called out on it.

So I'm late AF to this, but apparently DasBoSchitt (Gmod idiot box creator) was part of sons of kojima or a pay pig to DSP? Has anyone called him out on this dumb shit? He used the 2016 elections as an excuse to stop making videos... I wonder how he himself doesn't have a thread already.

You know, the drumroll he played before he revealed the cereal box, he can't even do that right.
The sound was: ~Drumrrrrrrrroll~ ~TADAAAAA~
You are supposed to show your shit when "TADA" occurs, this is the moment the curtain lifts.
He let the entire sound play out, puts the soundmachine on the table, and then shows the box.
He does this all the time.

Great job, OldManPhil. Just again, no sense for modern reality and what's cool with kids, teens and young adults.
I'm watching a detractor video right now and all I can see is an old man with old man problems in an old man business.
He's the pile of corpses in the centre of a circus - Just what is he doing there?
