I remember someone finding a metaphor those people could understand (frame from X-men comic, with Rogue, whose powers are harmful, wanting the cure for mutantism, but Storm, a literal weather god, saying that there's nothing to cure), but it still was reee'd at and no longer is making rounds. The big problem I have with these people saying “ the autistic community doesn't want to be cured uwu” is that I and everyone else don't give a fuck if you don't want your autism cured. Cure is needed for those who are severely autistic and can barely or not communicate at all, harm themselves and others during their retar. ded meltdowns and are just very hard to take care of. It's not for your quirky, obsessed for children's cartoon ass.
I remember that. It was passed around in a lot of communities, along with another thing that went something like: "We don't need a cure! We're perfect the way we are!" says person whose life is barely affected by their condition to someone who is crippled by it.I remember someone finding a metaphor those people could understand (frame from X-men comic, with Rogue, whose powers are harmful, wanting the cure for mutantism, but Storm, a literal weather god, saying that there's nothing to cure), but it still was reee'd at and no longer is making rounds.

this just comes off as "STOP MAKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE REEEEEE"
This is interesting. I saw the other way around too, someone that made a post like ”we're like the mutants on x-man, we don't want and don't need a cure and etc etc” and basically a whole rant about what he though were the similarities but it just so happens that shooting laser from your eyes is way more fun that being socially inept and having meltdowns over meaningless shit.I remember someone finding a metaphor those people could understand (frame from X-men comic, with Rogue, whose powers are harmful, wanting the cure for mutantism, but Storm, a literal weather god, saying that there's nothing to cure), but it still was reee'd at and no longer is making rounds.

Yep, same.By autism cures, I assumed they were talking about psuedoscience bleach enemas and psychological abuse "cures" that do nothing at best and hurt the child at worst.
It takes some balls to talk about something like that on tumblr, so of course everyone immediately lines up to shit on the OP for it.
Tumblr and woke Twitter has seriously made me hate the word "valid"
Gotta love how nobody who's butthurt at the OP can actually refute his assessment that they're just a bunch of emo/scene kids cosplaying as transgender and that it makes trans as a medicual condition look less legitimate, and have to resort of petty shit that translates to "no u"
Ever notice how "non-dysphoric trans people," much like the people that are in the caps of OP's post, all look like they belong to the same alternative fashion subculture? One marked by vivid, heavy makeup, unnaturally dyed hair, and pseudo-goth/scene clothing? Almost like they're following an aesthetic trend that's become popular amongst teenagers and young adults instead of legitimately belonging to a very, very small minority of the human population. Really makes ya do the big think.

Also, here's one of the people who replied to the OPView attachment 631697I had to look the last one up. Apparently the gender-neutral pronoun "thon" was invented quite some time ago, but all I can think about when I hear the word is tuna because "thon" is the French word for tuna. Imagine this person going to France and saying "I sexually identify as a tuna"

(pictures are attached of an Asian girl wearing about five pounds of makeup)i’m afab and i present as such. i like my tits. i wear makeup. i embrace my outward femininity and i still know that i am genderqueer. nonbinary doensn’t mean white, skinny, androgynous
(pictures range from attempted Insta thot to butch lesbian w/snapback)Non-binary and proud. No gender dysphoria here. Using my tits and clit and ovaries whenever I damn please, and presenting however I want.
You're a biological female conforming to the gender roles set for biological females.I’m nonbinary (he/they) and I don’t tend to look to masculine whether I like it or not cos gender roles are fun to not conform to
With "enbies" like that, the third pronoun they refuse to answer to because it reminds them they're a basic bitch with no redeeming pride (she), instantly informs you of their birth gender, which is nice.I went to the #TransLooksLikeThis tag:

There are some actually passing people in the tag. But there is a lot of bad makeup and bad piercings and girly, girly, girly. Go check it out.

I had to leave because I was getting mad on real trans people's behalf.
