Second, it's not true. The darkest regions up north, Norway and Sweden, is classified as countries where it's banned. But it's not, I even checked it just now, they just have to comply with the rules and regulations set by the bureau of Agriculture. It's like saying they can't serve Halal food because they have to adhere to the local food safety legislation.

Which prohibit doing it by the means religiously required. In the U.S. you couldn't do this, because there is no way of prohibiting the cruelty inherent to slaughter without prohibiting all kinds of other things, including completely accepted secular practices.
