In the amount of time it took Alex to even implement a demo of his Anime Hitman game, the game it's apeing off of has released a full "Season" of the game and released a sequel. So much for capitalizing on a "Forgotten genre"
Given the current track record, it'll be a forgotten genre again by the time it's actually done.

Alex prided in his Hate and Shame video being a successful attack against the "gremlins" due to increase in patreon.

In reality, looking at the graph, he didn't manage to convince many people at all. His patrons spike hardly went up. It was just some of his current patrons who were retarded enough not to pull out went one retard level further and donated more to him.

As Null said, as that gold line and green line start to converge, losing even one patron will be a significant blow to his tugboat:tugboat:

To add on, according to his patreon numbers there are 19 people who are in the $100 category with the other 870ish plebs donating a little over a dollar each. I’m calling it, by the end of the year he’s gonna struggle to get above 2,000 a month.
A lot of it is inflated from him shilling his own patreon, you know

Haven’t tested out the game in 2-3 years, what’s the overall state of the game as of now?

To answer your question seriously, whether or not he's progressed depends on your definition of "progress". He's added several features and areas, to say nothing of the ten thousand outfits, minigames and Easter Eggs, but he has not added any core mechanics that would actually be needed in the finished game. The game itself was optimised slightly when a professional programmer from TinyBuild did some work on it, but Alex sperged out (of course he did) and that fell apart. It still runs like shit on even supercomputers.
It's also odd because we have confirmation from a couple of volunteers that Osana is in fact completed, and could be added to the game at any point, but Alex refuses to do so for whatever reason.

When was this? I’m a little out of the loop

About 7-10 pages back. She's apparently finished, but Alex wants to get other stuff done before she's implemented.

Edit: It's actually 11 pages back.
