BTW, I think Susan wised up a bit and stopped sharing her posts publicly on Facebook again. If anyone has a FB account that's friends with her or follows her account, please do share posts! There's no way she hasn't posted for a couple days.

Depressive episodes are more unnoticed than manic ones. I'd wager that Susie has rapid cycling bipolar 1 with possible psychotic features (she has a lot of delusions of grandeur and paranoia). When she's posting tons of videos and planning stupid documentaries and harassing the homeless - she's manic. When she's not posting anything and quiet on Facebook, she's most likely in a depressive episode.

Lithium and a short term antipsychotic would probably get her to a normal base level of mood and behavior, but as she is, it seems she cycles rapidly from one phase to the other every few weeks. Too bad she shoves the lithium and antipsychotics down her children's gullets instead of her own. She'd be much better off.

Have we ever seen Susan in a depressive state? Because I've only ever seen her in a perpetual state of mania. A lot of her money issues like spending money on frivolous crap, like going out to eat for every meal and the BMW, are directly related to her mania. It's a common issue for people with bipolar and it gets them into some deep trouble. Another part of mania that Susan has is the feeling of being invincible. Which would be an explanation why she stupidly ignores DCF when they tell her to stop filming. She doesn't actually grasp the fact that there are going to be negative consequences for outright ignoring DCF. She thinks she can get away with anything..

Some bipolar people tend to live wheter usually depressed or usually hypo/manic, and if you're somewhat manic and your environment provides the stimuli to mantain that manic state, you'll stay that way for longer and longer periods of time, she could have, though, rapid cycling depressions that we, of course, will never see on social media. But as long as she gets attention (bad or good or whatever) and feedback on his manic delusions, her brain will balance itself to that.

It's not really as simple as barreling back up to California and taking the kids, though. With the way custody works in the state, he can't just take them home with him without Susan being able to charge him with kidnapping and would set everything back.

As much as we all want him to man up and do something, it can't be instantaneous. He can maybe push to sue for custody of the kids but even that takes time and resources.

Yeah, I'm aware of the fact that Michael can't just go to CA and take the kids. That's not how custody works in any situation, including abuse. However, it would be overwhelmingly simple and almost obligatory for him to get his ass in gear and show up for Jani after being told from her own mouth that she is being victimized. Sure, he can make a phone call to social services or law enforcement from Minnesota, but showing up at the DCFS office in person or the police department in Valencia or showing up in person at the front door of that insect infested hovel in which his ex-wife houses his children is going to have a much greater impact than making a call or two. My point wasn't to compel Michael to spirit his children away to Minnesota, my point was to get him to get on his way to California and be present during what is clearly a critical time in their lives. Bodhi's withdrawing off meds that have crippled him for years, Jani's struggling academically, overmedicated, losing weight through suspected food deprivation, wetting the bed due to medication side effects, and both are being treated abominably. DCFS is in the kids' court. Where is their dad? In Minnesota, awaiting the birth of yet another sprog to add to this mess, when in reality he should be doing everything he can to show his first and secondborn kids that they matter, that he cares, and that there is an adult in their lives who has some semblance of their best interests at heart.
