If you can be drafted to die for your country at 18, it's ridiculous that you can't lead it at the same age.
I’m sorry, but I can’t trust someone that is only 18 to lead a country. It’s not enough life experience and people haven’t really solidified their identity at that age. Fighting is different because you need people young enough to withstand the stress on their bodies. 35 is a good age to run for president because people have more experience and are further in their careers. Sure, there might be that rare 18 year old with sage wisdom and good decision making skills, but majority of 18 year olds aren’t like that. At least at 35 you have better developed reasoning skills.

And what's the lowest age you can be any rank that leads a group of people to die?
As much responsibility as there is in being a soldier, that doesn't seem to be nearly as significant as having the ability to make decisions that literally affect millions or billions of people.
18 is an arbitrary age and the adult brain also keeps developing into the mid 20s, too.

Are politics really that self destructive now? I'd vote for that woman in a heartbeat. Why didn't she run for 2016?

She resigned from her position with the DNC in 2016 to endorse Bernie. Which might give you an idea as to why, no matter how good a candidate she is, she won't survive the 2020 primary.

This may as well be a WWE pay-per-view. All the Democratic candiates are shaping up to be about as entertaining as all the Republicans were in 2016, at this point I'm just waiting for the mass media to apply labels to each of the candidates so we have caricatures we can mock.
All in all, I'm just excited for the destruction.

2016 was a coronation for Hilary. It was a complete sham of a primary. The only Democrats were Hilary, Tim Kaine and Bernie. Tim Kaine was only there because he was Hilary's VP pick. He dropped out nearly immediately. Bernie was only there to get his message out. Turns out it resonated too much and the primary turned into an actual competition that the DNC had to cheat to win.

Nobody else ran because it was Hilary's 'turn'. Warren was probably going to run in 2016 as well, but she had to make statements that she wasn't. That's why she didn't run in 2016. That's why nobody ran in 2016 and why the Democrats lost.

Whoever wins, I hope it starts Civil War II so that we just get this shit over with.

No!

That would mean no CBP stopping morons from entering the US. It would turn into an unending bloodbath and the absolute destruction of America as the foreign hordes pour into the area to stake their own claim.

Then again, that insanity would probably spill north into Canada, and my beloved Alberta could finally be free, so . . .

In a way, these people entirety of humanity might ultimately needs Bronhald Blumpf in order to function. After all, he’s the Satan/Antichrist who leads the world astray in leftist mythology. he is the God Emperor of Mankind who will take us to the stars and protect mankind from the ruinous powers

That depends on what you mean by 'leads'. There are squad and fireteam leaders who are in their early 20's.

At any rate, 18 is a bad age to lead the country for a lot of reasons. Among which is the fact that most 18-year-olds aren't educated, and have very little life experience away from home. As such, they tend to be overly idealistic, optimistic, and naive, which makes them easily manipulated and influenced. This is precisely one of the reasons why they make perfect cannon fodder, but those are all very bad traits for administrators.

I don't know if you're confusing him for one of the other milquetoast white dudes with zero brand recognition who ran, but Tim Kaine never declared his candidacy for the 2016 election. Martin O'Malley was likely the scripted token resistance against Yaas Queen Slay, Jim Webb was the only senator from Virginia involved as a presidential candidate, and both Chaffee and Lessig withdrew before the actual primaries started.

Goddamn that's been a quick couple of years. I'm very curious who the Democratic presidential elect will be.

Totally doesn't matter, Orange Man Bad, NPCs must resist, they'll support whichever assholes they're told to, and they'll claim it's te fault of the other candidates for the eventual lost to Trump.

You know what? I hate AOC's politics and policies, but I'm pretty sure she would be running this term if the minimum age wasn't 35, which is way too high and total bullshit.

I want her to run, because she's actually dumber than Trump. I want to see 'Murican politics degenerate into an episodic treatment of Idiocracy, so I can sit back, jerk off with bacon grease, drink that mutant rice-wine bullshit Budweiser tries to pass off as beer, and watch the contrails as the nukes rain down.

Humanity continues to be a once-proud species circling the bowl, and it's past time for the roaches and rates to fight it out. And by roaches, I mean actual roaches, not that Linda Sarsour bitch.

If HRC enters the race, it will be a total shitshow with her trying to wrangle control of the DNC and destroy all the other candidates. It will only blow the fuck up in the Democrat's faces and she will just be a spoiler. If she wins again, the Dems lose 2020, period. Bernie's been shown to be a dumb cuck who supports the 'Green New Deal' which was a total laughing stock of a bill. His momentum is functionally dead, just like HRC's was. People feel betrayed by him and its kind of impossible to build that sort of momentum again, especially when this avowed Socialist has three houses and is pretty wealthy. Warren is a massive bomb waiting to happen and she has so much shady shit in her past the other primary candidates will fall on her with knives if she takes the lead. Booker has pissed off teacher's unions, so they're just waiting to go in on him. Joe Biden is a living meme at this point and I don't really see it working out for him.

The solution is obvious.

Jeb Bush for Democratic presidential candidate.

I do not believe the dems will give the nomination to a man. I don't really know anything about Cory Booker but I don't think he has a chance because the DNC has settled on the marketing strategy that they are the party who will make a woman president, and that's that. In a world where "portrayal = endorsement" is harvested for outrage points, to even give the nomination to a man would be no different than telling America's women that they belong in rapecages making our breakfast.

So now we have Warren (who culturally appropriated so hard and shamelessly it made me mad about cultural appropriation) and Harris (who thinks blacks and poor people are superpredators and basically believes in keeping them as an institutionalized criminal class). We also have my home state's Amy Klobuchar (who I will give my impressions about when I have more time but for the moment I'll just say her integrity is commendable even if I don't agree with her on some big things), Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaiian hindu lady) and Kirsten Gillibrand (who?).

My prediction:
-Harris will be the chosen one. She's clintonian enough, plus she's the safe kind of non-white, like that black guy who runs the restaurant where you like to eat but it's in a different neighborhood than where you live so no worries about too many boundaries being crossed.
-Warren is a joke. She didn't have any steam 2 years ago and won't in 2020. If she had more clout then all the clickbait blogs would be writing "26 ways Elizabeth Warren smoking peace pipe while doing a rain dance started a conversation (and that's a good thing)", but without the ability to make people commit suicide by doubletap to the back of the head, her gaffe actually comes too close to being called out for what it is for her to get anywhere.
-Tulsi Gabbard will get called an Uncle Tom, a false hindu, and a false Hawaiian, and if she's lucky it will stop there. If not then she'll also be raked for being part of some shitty cult, whether or not it's true. I expect the Gabbard camp to be treated exactly as the "Bernie Bros" were in 2016: anyone who claims to support Gabbard honestly is just a lying racist who have chosen a doctored up minority because their FWM privilege is threatened by true and honest candidate of color/chosen successor Kamala Harris. The usual rags and networks will speak of Gabbard's fanbase as being uniformly white and male as if it is obvious fact; any pocs who get past the white noise to say "I'm on her side too" too loudly to be drowned out will just get dismissed as having internalized racism/misogyny.
-Klobuchar will run a solid campaign with decent ideas, but will politely bow out in favor of the DNC's chosen candidate. I like her but she will not rock the blue boat.
-Gillibrand: Again, who? I know it's not your job but someone educate me.

Everyone Bernie or left of him absolutely hates Harris though. They view her record as a prosecutor as basically being a cop and since that's the worst possible thing for them, a lot of people really don't like her. Of course my perspective may be skewed cause of my exposure to extremist opinions from, like, Chapo Trap House and Twitter, but that could be a major issue.

I just want Bernie to run *sigh*
