That lasted about 3 days short of what I thought it would. If she did all that research she would have read that other people said the taste was bad until you get used to it. But her talking about her health coach about the low calories is bullshit or the health coach isn't trained properly. They have a plan for people who are morbidly obese, a 5 and 2 plan or even a 5 and 3 plan which gives more calories than the 5 and 1. Also, pickles are on the list of snacks you can eat, along with sugar free jello, so not much of a "snack".

Does she really expect people to believe she talked to a real doctor about it?

I love how she said "blood relatives" about things going on. She said it that way to make sure we all know the drama is not about Becky's family, at all. Sure Jan

If her doctor was perfectly fine with Optavia except for the low calories, why not just tell Amber to eat a big salad or turkey sandwich for lunch in addition to the "feelings"? That would push her over 1200 which would still help her lose weight and be sustainable long term.

She either didn't talk to her doctor (yes, we know this) or her doctor called out the nutrition of a bunch of candy bars and microwave brownies.

Because she lied and the true reason why she gave up was, firstly, because the food they sent her tasted like wood shavings and salt, and, secondly, because she didn’t really care enough to make sacrifices, so, as soon as she realized how little food she had too eat, she buried her “feelings” at the bottom of the garbage can.

560 lbs gorl worried that she's not eating enough and will ruin her metabolism :story:

If Amber was truly concerned about the calories she would have added 3 "feelings" to her diet, they're 110 calories each, bumping her to 1200. She looks for supposed flaws in every program and uses them as an excuse to stop and start overeating again, rationalizing it by telling herself the program is to blame. It's kind of mind boggling how impaired her personality is. She has received a ton of good advice over the years; she completely ignores all of it. Lost cause.

There's a diet shilled on the radio in my area (and probably other places under different names) that talks about hormones, taking blood samples & designing a diet "just for you." It doesn't have pre-packaged food to waste money on, but costs a couple thousand for all the 'testing.' No matter who goes on this 'diet', it's all the same, 500 to 900 calories a day. Their advertising shouts how you will lose 30 to 40 pounds in 40 days. Since it's so low in calories, of course you will. People drop weight eating only 500 calories a day, but Amber, no one died from it & no one starved. The testing part is a scam, just like that packaged garbage. No one needs any of that stuff to eat less or eat better.
I think when Amber (and Chantal) realize how many years it will take to drop a significant amount of weight, this is when they give up. Chantal thinks drinking water for a couple days will erase her 30+ years of craving fast food & Amber thinks packaged garbage will magically make her 120 pounds after 3 days.
Until both get their heads figured out, not much will change. A few days here & there of careful eating will always lead to a binge, & the cycle continues. Only a medical emergency may stop them from stuffing themselves for any period of time.
Wasting $400 on crap while some people don't actually have enough to eat only adds to my disdain for her.

And thanks for the recaps everyone.

My guess for how long she'd last on the diet was spot on, where's my prize?

The fact that she can say this shit publicly when she admitted she was LOOKING for an excuse to quit is pathetic.
I mean, does she really expect people to buy that? How long will it take for her to realize that she can't buy success?

I love how she admitted that she was looking for a reason to quit because she was triggered to eat junk but she’s so fucked up that she actually convinced herself she was right. I also love the whole “Even my girlfriend said I’m right” thing she always does, not only because it’s not as if she would allow Becky to have her own opinion and to disagree with her, but also because it’s so childish. LOOK, (THE ONLY THRRE) PEOPLE (I HAVE IN MY LIFE) AGREE WITH ME (=are enabling me/don’t give a fuck at all) SO I MUST BE RIGHT!! (=i cracked the code!! I’m finally free from this diet and can go back to bingeing in peace).
Anyway, this is nothing new. She needs to be hospitalized.

Amber should be careful with all these fad diets. If she isn’t she will never reach her goal of losing gaining 170lbs.

Okay first, I'll give one tiny little point to Amber. While in theory she could consume nothing but water for years and survive on the fat alone, there is a problem with consuming less than about 1500 calories a day regularly. Your body doesn't just absorb its own fat at that point, it will absorb muscle mass too indiscriminantly because you are technically starving. Now for a normal human that's not too horrible, you can work out a little more, but for Amber the ONLY thing allowing her to stand up at all is the natural muscle that a deathfat builds from carrying their own weight every day.

Polite disagreement with you, here. The only thing that is important for Amber right now is weight loss, indiscriminate of what type of weight loss it is.
She weighs nearly 600 lbs, and her muscles barely factor into that number. She can barely even stand up. Her muscles don't support her, and the more she sits the more they atrophy away anyways.

She is so fat that she is actively dying because of it. Her situation is dire, and medical intervention is needed badly. For a normal to even decently obese person, muscle loss might be something to actually consider. For Amber, the amount of muscle she will lose to fat is trivial, and the only thing that will let her get up and actually start moving again is shedding enough weight to do so.

Muscle can be gained back, regardless of how much she might lose in the process of saving her own life.

I think we all saw her not continuing with this diet, I figured a week or two but dang she sure showed me with just a few days on. Though I did figure she would have been 600 elbees by now, maybe by June.

That said, she'll never be able to lose weight on her on, she needs intense in-patient therapy to not only restrict what she is eating but also to help her understand why she is the way she is, because for her to be successful at weight loss, she needs to get down to the painful realizations of why she overeats and binges and work on those.

My guess for how long she'd last on the diet was spot on, where's my prize?

You get AL coming to sit on your lap and pinching your cheek telling you what a good boo-boo you are.

Who knew an energy bar crash diet pyramid scheme would generate this much haydur interest? Other than the binge monster, I mean?

She still won't admit she got taken for a country bumpkin of a rube by this when directly asked now either I bet, that's cognitive dissonance at work. What correct thinking person could ever believe any pygmy hippo sized human had to stop dieting because they were too restrictive in calories as opposed to the usual glutton setting on their pie hole being just fine instead? She must think her audience is even dumber than her roommates at the gay daycare.

At least I called going into this a day three binge to make up for 48 hours of around 1800 total calories restriction preceding it so I can't complain too much about her making me look like I should pick her lottery numbers.

Amber was never hungry on this OPTAvia diet, she was still eating orange chicken and take outs. GUARANTEED!

Are you guaranteeing on just a hunch or is there circumstantial evidence at the very least you're assuming this from, even if it's only past experience with big AL's tendencies? I could see it from the descriptions of how she "totally turned down pizza at her gorlfriends family's place boo boo" virtue signals to the viewers in this one, tbf

I think the real problem with Amber is that her personality is an equal combination of lazy, greedy and bored. It's a toxic combination.

You didn't even mention stupid.

The only thing I can't really tell from the reviews of this, is it a must watch for kiwifarms haydurs or can I skip it and just enjoy the thread summaries without missing much? I tend to think it might be worth a double speed watch but she's been grinding my gears something fierce these last few months while the manic phase ramps up higher too, so I don't know, some haydur's going to skim the cream from the top of this tard cum in vlog form at some point anyway...

Amberlynn ripped mega ass at 12:26.

How can you tell if what came out was a gas or a solid?

I wasn’t around when she lost the 89lbs. How long did it take her to lose it?
The mythical 89 elbees happened before she started vlogging. She was actually gaining it back when she started YouTube which was kind of the catalyst for her starting her channel to my understanding. We don't know how long it took, but we do know for sure that it only happened because Krystle's parents forced her to have structured meals and do housework for exercise.
