Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I'd rather he be forced to work a 40-hour-week job and put on pants.
I'd rather Chris be in the jungle surviving. That way, he'll know true hard work by eating crickets than those junk in mcdonald's.
Speaking of mcdonald's, I wouldn't eat anything if Chris works on a restaurant, even if he's a janitor

What do you think Chris's biggest mistake is (inb4 being born)

I think it was DOXing the people that bought the medallions, these are the same people that donate to his patreon, same people that would be willing to buy more Chris merch

These are the only people Chris really needed to be nice and keep happy to lol, and he throws them under the bus

I'm not sure if you can call what Chris does mistakes; that usually implies consequences and Chris is almost never permanently affected by them.

But, to be fair, I'd say Idea Guy probably came close. That and those unavailing suck dickets the court assigned to him.

Does it matter, my good chum? Chris is closing in on 40 and his mental faculties are in decline. He will slide into either death or assisted living without even realizing it. Chris lived his best life without ever having to work. He is married to 4 spouses and has an agreement with them that allows him to be intimate with others outside the marriage. He never has any real worries and can play with his toys all day. People throw their money at him for no reason whenever he needs it. If mistakes lead to a life that sweet, I need to start making mistakes.

Bob & Barb failed him during his formative years by coddling and sheltering him, and not getting him the help he needed to adapt to the world. I believe their intentions were good, they didn't sit together and discuss how to create what he became. They were older and from a generation with less understanding of mental conditions. At the bare minimum, they should have limited and monitored his use of the internet when it became a problem and began to disrupt their lives. All that stuff is a failure of parenting, and not mistakes on Chris's part. However, as he got older, he should have been able to learn from his mistakes as far as receiving negative attention and consequences for his behavior.

DA TROLLS did some mean spirited stuff, but I think the "fans" who give him money, make panels for him at My Little Pony conventions etc were more damaging. They continued what Bob & Barb started, they fed his already large ego and delusions of grandeur, and reinforced his belief that he is a legit celebrity. I know a couple people with some Chris like traits, and I can't even imagine how much worse off they would be if they had people reinforcing their egos and delusions.

IMO it's not that they didn't try to get help for him. I feel like they either underestimated how severe his condition is or were wholly unprepared for how intensive it would be to raise him at their advanced ages (Bob was 55 when he was born, Christ). Once he finished his Associate's degree (in 5 years no less) he was basically allowed to do whatever, which is when his shenanigans started to really ramp up. Running around with the Attraction Sign, getting kicked/banned out of several stores and restaurants, harassing Megan. It's remarkable that he wasn't discovered by the Internet even earlier. Who knew that a blurry photo of an adult autistic child would grab the attention of the infamous hacker, 4chan.

They not only didn't try to get help for him, they did everything they could to block him getting help that was being offered. They even split up the home and had Bob move out of the area just to keep the school from actually giving him the special ed he obviously needed.

Chris's main problem isn't about making mistakes (although obviously he makes plenty)- it's his super-human resistance to ever learning from those mistakes, and repeating them over and over and over, without it ever really sinking in that he's even made a mistake.

If you save him from any one mistake, it wouldn't matter, because he'll just do it again the next time a chance to be a complete dumbfuck pops up.

(But his response to ED was probably the single decision that might have made shit turn out different for him.

He probably could have kept a low profile much longer, and ducked a bunch of trolling , if he didn't react in the exact wrong way to the ED page. But thank fuck he did)

How many legitimate fans does Chris think he has?

At one time, he thought he had at least a million fans. From Mailbag 48: "10) I have had way over a million fans worldwide since I went online in before 2000." That was in January of 2010. Around the same time, in an FAQ section on the CWCipedia, he said he thought he had a billion fans, so either way he believed that there were a shitload of people hanging on his every word and eagerly awaiting the latest issue of the comic.

Nowadays, it's kind of hard to tell, but I'm guessing he still thinks he has a lot of fans.

On this page, it's mentioned that Chris attacked someone for getting near Megan.

Did this really happen? When?
Only thing I could find is this about him "going off on someone":
And I think there was another instance of him glaring daggers at someone who was putting the moves on Megan, to the point that everyone was creeped out.

Megan said:
The way you went off on Nina because she patted me on the head was very rude and uncalled for. Just because someone else has made physical contact with me doesn't give you the authority to do so. Remember, I have the right to decide who can come near me.
I shouldn't be surprised, but... damn
