Brags about his wealth online, and while Ty mocks him about this he's also not poor.
He has enough that not only does he have the ability to put $200k toward his own lawyer fees, but he can be reasonably expected to cover someone else's lawyer fees.
He thinks that there's no proof of his involvement in this and he's too far from this to be caught
He has a higher, weaselly voice.
He's not particularly attractive, and he's not nice.
He's not lucky with women
He's vice-president of a company neither Funimation nor RT, nor any of the cons
His communication has been kept mostly over the phone, in texts and phonecalls
With all the information BHBH has, they don't have enough to come for him on the first round, and he can reasonably expect that he's somehow immune and won't be caught in any sweep.
No one likes Iago, the feeling is mutual
IMO Ty was implying a history with Iago, that he'd threatened a previous client of his.
It COULD be Todd, but if this were Sabat and so much of his influence is already known, why hide his name, why hide Todd's identity? There's no need. At this point Sabat knows he's getting pulled into this, and everyone else knows it too. That supports the theory that Sabat is Igor.
He's a slimy, disgusting fellow, which when all added up means he's probably the kind of person you can tell is untrustworthy and unpleasant from looking at him and interacting with him. Like a businessman of some sort.
1. Ty says Iago is not an employee of either studio. Since we are dealing with lawyers Iago could still be a contractor for either or both.
3. This one has me stumped.
4. Ty says Iago should just throw down $200k if he has the net worth he claims.
9. Ty thinks Iago can be held out as a vice-principal of 'his' company.
13. "You have threatened one of my other clients with retaliation simply because he hired me." That doesn't sound like history to me. That sounds like somebody went after haberkorn after he hired vic's lawyer.
Sabat is contractor for funimation and supposedly has hiring privileges on at least some projects. Which makes him vice-principal under texas law. I'm still not convinced Sabat is Iago, but that's the best argument anyone has come up with for someone not an employee that could be argued as a vice-principal of anything.
Are you saying that BHBH waived their representation fees for Haberkorn because he's feeding them info to help with Mignogna's case? I guess it's theoretically possible, but I doubt it. I think it's more likely that, since Haberkorn's case is going to be smaller and less comprehensive, he just decided to out-of-pocket it rather than fundraise.
But who really knows. This thread has been 87% speculation for the last few days.
Wasn't Todd supporting KickVic in the beginning? Like not super hard like the others but more like "Yea yea don't eat my face off" cheerleader type of support. I mean Iago/Igor could have had his clutches slightly in him until he lawyered up and got threatened which in turn Todd went to Ty.

Umm also the thing Ty said about Iago thinking his business is safe but they could tie it to the case is another reason why people think its Sabat. He has that Studio tour thing going on at Kamehacon 2019 and they bullied Vic out of that Con.

Haberkorn's case is considerably simpler than Vic's. I think the simplest answer is he doesn't need a GFM.
Also, I would reiterate that don't think Haberkorn is on Vic's side as much as people want him to be. He hasn't said shit since his initial response to Proudmore. To my knowledge, he hasn't even liked any of the posts by people patting him on the back this whole time (though he hasn't corrected anybody either). He's been very coy this whole time. He's said less than Vic, and almost nothing about Vic. I just think he's been forced into some sort of action, and Vic's attorneys are the right ones to make things happen. They are allies by circumstance and not choice.
Umm does anyone else think Todd turned over some evidence to BHBH due to getting threatened? Like noticed how the GFM is not needed anymore. I mean can lawyers waive fees for anything they want?
You are familiar with the term "Pro Bono"? Which essentially means Lawyers, or at least the heads/owners of a practice can waive attorneys fees should they feel compelled to do so. Other fees such as filing and process costs would still remain baked in. They typically aren't going to eat those.
Our beloved boomer law daddy is trying to come up with a topic for the show in an hour. I suggested he just laugh at KickVic stupidity. You really CAN'T go wrong with that. Dunno if that will happen though.

yes aware just not sure if its its ok to be representing one client and another client your representing is giving you information to help the first client is a no no or not

Still waiting on Potato boomer todo their 40k stream together. So if he can pull Jim outta whatever form of game / Aisian puss-puss that would be great.
I'm looking at Vic's streams and the guy seems so tame, I cant even picture this guy having sex let alone raping someone when he spergs out of light-sabers and shit
guess it makes sense why his mom runs his fan club I guess, he's way too naive
One thing i don't think the thread touched on when attempting to guess the identities of Iago and Igor is that Ty has likely chosen those names for a reason. Everybody knows the character Igor due to pop culture, he does his masters bidding and it often entails lots of dirty work. So lets look at Othello and the character Iago instead, now it won't fit our current story 100% yet it gets close.
I feel like Act one is most important so I'll put the rest in a spoiler. From Wikipedia, emphasis mine.
After Iago engineers a drunken brawl to ensure Cassio's demotion (in Act 2), he sets to work on his second scheme: leading Othello to believe that Desdemona is having an affair with Cassio. This plan occupies the final three acts of the play. He manipulates his wife Emilia, Desdemona's lady-in-waiting, into taking from Desdemona a handkerchief that Othello had given her; he then tells Othello that he had seen it in Cassio's possession. Once Othello flies into a jealous rage, Iago tells him to hide and look on while he (Iago) talks to Cassio. Iago then leads Othello to believe that a bawdy conversation about Cassio's mistress, Bianca, is in fact about Desdemona. Mad with jealousy, Othello orders Iago to kill Cassio, promising to make him lieutenant in return. Iago then engineers a fight between Cassio and Roderigo in which the latter is killed (by Iago himself, double-crossing his ally), but the former merely wounded.
Iago's plan appears to succeed when Othello kills Desdemona, who is innocent of Iago's charges. Soon afterwards, however, Emilia brings Iago's treachery to light, and Iago kills her in a fit of rage before being arrested. He remains famously reticent when pressed for an explanation of his actions before he is arrested: "Demand me nothing. What you know, you know. From this time forth I never will speak word." Following Othello's suicide,Cassio, now in charge, condemns Iago to be imprisoned and tortured as punishment for his crimes.
So if we have a backstabbing snake as Iago, Vic is obviously Othello right? Well Vic also fits another character, Cassio, and Othello might just be a company like Funimation.
So we have a trusted advisor who's worked together for years with Funimation, who got passed over for promotion (I'll take this as a general more work or popularity instead of actual promotion) in favour of Vic. He plots to have Vic demoted and may have also accidentally caused the downfall of Funimation or 'another company' (vice principal). He has an ally that fits people like Schemmel and Rial who may want more work from 'another company' or Soye who wants affection from a wife.
Going into the other acts we have Iago leading Funimation to believe something nefarious happened with Vic, gets the help of another woman and that he'd seen it with his own eyes. Funimation then investigates and Iago leads them to believe false evidence. Funimation orders the death of Vic, but he is only wounded in the fight while Iago backstabs his ally (look out dummy). Depending on who we take as Desdemona, Funimation may kill a VA (look out dummy) or 'another company'. Iago's treachery is brought to light by the woman who helped him (look out dummy) Funimation dies, Vic wins and hopefully puts Iago in jail. I know that last part is super but it would be a fun ending.
Now maybe this was all too :autistic: and he was named Iago due to general backstabbing, but given all the information we already had who fits really nicely into this story? IMO one name practically screams out: Sabat
You forgot something here in discussing the implications of the usage of the name Iago, which ties into the show biz aspect of this clusterfuck and the notion that Vic was targeted out of professional jealous/that he got the Broly gig over one of the Funimation gang.
In the world of theater, especially those who mainly perform Shakespeare's plays, Iago is one if not THE most desired roles that a Shakespearean actor can play. It's up there with Hamlet, MacBeth, and Romeo/Juliet as far as roles everyone and their mothers wants to play, in terms of being a meaty and memorable part for an actor.
Furthermore, Iago basically is one of the most iconic Shakespearean characters the bard ever created; to the extent that Iago is the patient zero for a huge number of writing tropes from villain with good publicity and villainous protagonist. Iago's popularity was so great, that for a while the play Othello was even renamed "Iago", to capitalize on both the characte's iconic nature and the fact that anyone who was anyone in terms of famous actors, wanted to play Iago.
In this case, it fit an egomaniac like Sabat, who sees himself as Iago and through his own narcicism, considers himself on par with Iago in terms of scheming and plotting. Not knowing that Iago is a bad example to pattern yourself off of, you fancy yourself a "magnificent bastard" given how Iago's scheme got exposed and he was busted.
As it stands, I would not be shocked if Sabat wanted the Broly role himself. Especially after finding out how the movie fleshed him out to be a fully developed character and not an overpowered excuse plot for Goku and the gang to fight in movies. And Vic getting the role caused him to go about the clusterfuck we are now in.
Btw, Othello has a racial angle because he's a Moore among Catholic Venetian. Compared to Vic being a Christian in an industry filled with liberal dangerhairs.

The lawyer-client confidentially doctrine is generally sacred, but there are ways this could work, such as:
1. Todd merely pointing Beard in the right direction, and Beard finding the info on his own. He wouldn't necessarily use Todd's info. He'd be using info gathered as a result of an investigation based on a tip from Todd.
2. Todd might have a common enemy with Vic (like Iago sure seems to be), and Todd grants Beard permission to use info in Vic's case.
I'm looking at Vic's streams and the guy seems so tame, I cant even picture this guy having sex let alone raping someone when he spergs out of light-sabers and shit
