Here's a thing I've been wondering
Why are they all freaking the fuck out about KamehaCon in comparison to the little noise that Anime Matsuri got when hosting Vic?
What about KamehaCon is so much bigger of a travesty in comparison to the second largest anime convention in america?

Because its the first Con that walked back. Other cons are propably watching. KickVic to throw all their weight in. Because if they do not succeed and this isnt getting some kind of outrage momentum - its likely that other cons will also reinvite vic. Which would be a disaster for them.

For the Cons its a question of weighting in the benefit. Getting the crowd that Vic draws in or the people that are on the kickVic site. They can only choose one and saying: Well we have to stick to our contract or else they could sue us is a pretty convenient argument. They can cry "allged sex pretator" and the reply would still be: We are bound to our contract.

Anime Matsuri simply blew them off. But with Kamehacon they had won, forced Kamehacon to kickvic, but then things got reversed. Nothing infuriates these clowns more than losing publicly. Anime Matsuri they just call the owners "sexual predators" and dismiss them. But Kamehacon revealed all the lies behind them.

Well Zack cant talk because of another cases and the rest should walk into traffic.

Just to clarify something (since I know Nick reads this), I'm not shit talking Zack or EvS. I like both of them. I just would very much like Weebwars to not get intertwined with Comicsgate and muddy things here. There is a damn good reason I didn't want the -gate suffix on all this.

Sargon should just stay the fuck out on general principle. He craps up everything he touches.

We've been over this multiple times.

They wrote off Anime Matsuri a long time ago. They want it destroyed. BAM has been screeching for years. AM can not be dragged into the woke side. Also, AM didn't invite Vic and then drop him. They invited him, and told everybody to fuck off.

Kameha Con was something they wanted to have control over. They had control over it for a while, and then Ty ensured they lost that control. That's an L. They were defeated in something where they had home field advantage.

Kamehacon is the biggest concentration of Dragon ball fans than any other convention, I would assume. Not to mention it hosts probably more voice actors and talents than any other con. To put it in perspective, to them it probably seems like Bill Cosby was invited to SDCC

I guess I'd actually have to hear the theory/evidence, but "sanitizing" anime seems way above their capability. This isn't western comics and vidya.

It's actually fairly easy. Look at what happened with Sony and Playstation Games. Somehow due to the size of the market, game decisions were switched from Sony Japan to Los Angeles, an office that is fulling captured by the pink haired snowflakes. As a result they are putting direct pressure on the Japanese Game producers. Enough so that the producers self censor without needing to be told, in order to promote international release. The same is slowly happening with the Anime industry. With Funimation being owned by Sony, those same decisions are once again being looped through the same Los Angeles office. See the problem? (And Crunchyroll has the same deal but with Warner Brothers.)

Probably because Anime Matsuri already had controversy before this whole Vic shenanigans happened. Also Kamehacon is a convention of THE if not one of the biggest anime's in the west so there is that and Dragon Ball twitter is pretty big a little bit. There is the fact they removed Vic before. Everyone thought they were gonna have an enjoyable cringy time at Kamehacon, then the convention pulled a twist bigger than "I am your father" and brought him back.

So since the GFM succeeding have there been any actual developments? I don't want to wade through ~200 pages of slapfights between two nearly-identical sides of unwashed assholes.
Repeating myself from a previous post:
  • Nick Rekieta interviewed two members of the Amazon Legion of Doom, the three female attorneys at The Beard's law firm.
  • Pretty Ugly Little Liars is the Chernobyl of Fujoshits.
  • DC Douglas is a basket case.
  • Dirty secrets of Kanzenshuu.
  • iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon do not feature Vic Mignogna as part of the casts of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Full Metal Alchemist, One Piece: Episode of Sabo, and RWBY Season 6. Rekieta called out iTunes about it, a member of the website said they had no control over it. Rekieta then called out Funimation, Funimation claimed it was a "glitch" and Vic was now properly credited. Except it wasn't as it was revealed that the profile on iTunes for Broly is NOT Vic's actual profile! Rooster Teeth did not respond at all.
  • Todd Haberkorn is being represented in a separate case by The Beard's firm.
  • Nick Rekieta hosted 3 panels (one with The Casual Otaku) at CONmunity 2019 in Amarillo, Texas.
  • ThatUmbrellaGuy hosted a stream interviewing Deneice Leigh, one of the owners of Anime Matsuri.
  • Discovered more info on HanLeia (real name: Allison Cooke). Please see page 1 for more info.
  • CosThot Rachel Moonbutt. That's all you need to know.
  • Japan Times article by Roland Kelts. Kelts' bias is apparent as glass. Kiwis dug deep and found there are some connections between ANN and Japan Times.
  • ANN's Nick Creamer (bobduh) made himself look like an ass.
  • Dumbwits sent complaints to the Minnesota State Bar about Rekieta. Rekieta read them in a stream, hilarity ensued.
  • Hello! I debuted here (If you want to know Rooster Teeth's past with someone engaging in sexual misconduct, I recommend checking out that post). Not to toot my own horn too much but I also posted The History of The Hashtag #IStandWithVic
  • Prominent #kickvic Todd Hiddleston-on-crack member, Josh Clark (NJ4K) exposed as a possible sexual abuser himself.
  • Shane still being the lolcow that he is. Same with Ron Toye, except Soye actually sent a complaint to Rekieta. Rekieta said he might go scorched earth on Toye. Fun stuff.
  • ThatUmbrellaGuy reviewed the book, How to Destroy A Man Now (DAMN). A vile book that can be seen as the playbook of #kickvic in the Weeb Wars.
  • Anime Outsiders was on Rekieta's stream and aired out the dirty laundry of ANN (especially about Zac Bertschy's case) and pretty much state Chris Sabat is like a Mafia Don strong-arming VAs like John Swassey.
  • Nick Rekieta was banned from Twitter for a short period of time because someone reported a tweet of his from 2017.
  • More insanity from Amanda Winn Lee.
  • HawaiiCon announced they are going to have Vic as a guest. Of course, #kickvic wants to boycott it. Thanks to Super Girl's not-so-covert ops, she exposed Leah Rose and Kelly Onelani as contributors to the i09 article.
  • We discovered Anime News Network is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. Possibly in CEO Chris MacDonald's apartment that is in close proximity to Université de Montréal, where MacDonald attended 19 years ago.
  • Rekieta teased that there is someone at Sabat's level (NOT Sabat himself) of power and clout actively making moves to remove Vic from conventions, which might call for Tortious Interference of Contract.
  • Reuben Langdon, voice actor for Devil May Cry's Dante, appeared in a stream with Toy Bounty Hunter and stated "I have a hard time believing Vic would go further than a hug in any of these cases." As such, #kickvic turned their attention to Langdon. Langdon, who survived being shot at in Guatemala, remained unfazed. Later, Anime Matsuri announced Langdon joined the list of guests.
  • KamehaCon reinvited Vic, causing #kickvic VAs to meltdown and rage quit KameCon. Renfamous unfortunately joined the fray.
  • A summary of more recent events can be found on page 1.
Was wondering who started the IStandWithVic hashtag ?

I made a post about that right here:

Especially since if this is all true, we know Crunchyroll is involved. I can't remember who we were talking about in this thread, but there was a guy we floated around as a possible Iago who works there.

That would be Adam Sheehan, Director of Events at Crunchyroll and VRV. You know, the "friend" of Todd Haberkorn who threw him under the bus when Todd replied to Jessie Pridemore's accusations.

That's all good and fine, but again, for millionth time, they're not going to sacrifice the major market (Japan), for the more minor one (US).

I can't see a Japanese director saying "Well, we can't have a panty shot in this scene, because the crazy gaijin will complain."

Minor edits as part of a separate cut, and fuckery with the dub, sure. But anime is so "problematic," it wouldn't be anime anymore will changes on the scale that the SJWs would want.

I discussed my feelings on this so many times, I really don't even want to do it anymore.

Ok I was gonna stop for now but this shit is just too perfectly timed for it not to have been done on purpose by the person in charge of their Twitter Account :story: Kudos to you my friend

Oh man, even if this ends in an L for Vic, FUNI is going to be completely screwed over by how unproffessionally they've handled this whole debacle and the statements of the VAs affiliated with this whole thing :story:

Most of you probably know this, but just to put it in here for context, the whole reason we even got the Broly movie was because of how insanely popular the character was, especially here in the west. Toriyama literally didn't even remember drawing him (although he does admittedly have a memory problem) but he and Toei decided to reboot him just for merchandise sales and due to his immense popularity and now all of this shit happens :story:

Martin and Rager 100% after their tirade over the past few days, unless their pockets feel a bit empty to them. Do they have any notable roles outside of Buu and Hercule?

Not sure about Josh Martin, but Chris Rager voices Arlong in One Piece:

If you are familiar with One Piece, then you know how much of a scumbag Arlong is.
