I am watching Nick's Twitch stream right now.

Monica and Soye were previously plaintiffs in a lawsuit alleging a landlord subjected them to toxic mold.

They settled after they were deposed. Which Nick finds interesting, because that usually doesn't happen. He's gonna try to pull docs on it.

That doesn't really make sense unless they got massively caught out lying or otherwise their case was wrecked, making its ultimate expected value much lower than they originally planned, i.e. settling for nuisance value. Usually you'd expect better if they settled after the other guys were deposed, i.e. the other side's deposition testimony made it clear they were going to lose huge.

The timing could be totally coincidental of course.

D(ouglas).C(ollins). Douglas? Considering that spergout over his name, me thinks he’s got a wee bit of a complex over it. Gee it really seems to bother him:

In Celsius or Fahrenheit? Looking at Shane and Ron I'm starting to believe we're dealing with Celsius here.
Just regular room temperature...in the arctic.

Which is the part that doesn't usually happen, that the plaintiffs settle under those circumstances, or that the plaintiffs get deposed?

He wasn't entirely clear (I was also kinda zoning there for a bit), but I think the implication is that there were answers given in their deposition that undermined their case.

Mind you, he hasn't seen their case in depth. He just says he'd like to do research.

Fucking Metokur got me hooked on gesugao girls.

Oh, and Nick opines that Shane is the worst person in this whole thing because he's so pathetic.

He also hypothesizes that Soye doesn't actually have a lawyer so much as he had somebody who he did an initial consultation with, That's his theory as to why Soye is being such a stupid dipshit on Twitter.

I think Sabat is worse because he has no reason to be a spiteful, vindictive shit against Vic except just pure evil, he's just a slithering slimy fuck. Whatever he has isn't enough for him and he has to wreck someone else's shit just out of inner nastiness and having a piece of shit for a heart and a cancerous tumor for a soul.

And if he's not the worst of the lot, and isn't Iago, then whoever Iago is.

That's pretty much what I figured. It's a rather silly approach because from the moment they're served the clock is ticking and this is a case where you want a specialist representing you rather than an all-rounder.

Perhaps they still think Funi/Sony will provide them with representation when shit gets real.

I'm not going to get into this but anyone who does Wikipedia should take a look at their Vic Mignogna article and the high level of activity regarding these defamatory allegations. I frankly suspect this bullshit is not up to WP:BLP standards and some editors appear to be pushing an agenda (yeah what else is new).

Note: scumbag lawyers have in the past edited Wikipedia articles and then cited them in their cases. While I doubt this specific thing is going to happen or that any defense lawyers are doing this, it's pretty obvious there's a high chance of kickvic scumbags being directly involved in this.

I'd suggest anyone who talks to Nick about this kind of shit give him a heads-up and if it's remotely relevant (and has not already been done) maybe the Beard firm should look at it.
I am of two minds on the Wikipedia article. On the one hand its shitty, but on the other its good evidence of the ongoing defamation and its reach.

It's obviously undesirable, but there's no reason for anyone who doesn't already edit Wikipedia to try and fix it. Wikipedia is run by pedophiles for pedophiles, as I learnt as part of a group trying to counteract the campaign of baby-rapers to control Wikipedia articles on 'ephebophilia' and other topics of interest back in the day. That ultimately went to their 'Arbitration Committee', which is run by sad fucks who wish they were as powerful as the lowest HR lady at their jobs. I don't think they even banned any of the pedos.

Now- more interesting is the fact that Wikipedia retains IP logs for at least several months, even for logged in users. I wouldn't be shocked if some of the more major public parties involved in defaming Vic, even the high profile ones, have contributed to attacking Vic on that article. Whether there's a legal basis for requesting that data on user identities at this point, who knows.

I didn't really like that manga as the guy is way too soy. If you liked that style I'll recommend the ganguro cooking gal gohan or teasing master manga (and sequel) which was also made into an anime last year.

I think a lot of us are holding the same opinion at this point. Honestly with the amount of shit La Choy's been flinging, declaration of non-retractions and likely having to testify against his wife to be, any sane lawyer should be asking for 6 figures upfront for a non settlement defense.

Maybe if Shane antagonizes Vic enough, his inner Rohan will show and force Dio Brando to join the fight. He will ZA WARUDO to stop time, and thus April 15th will never come.
I don't know how ten seconds will save his ass from getting litigated, other then maybe have him start to run away

Of course the woman can be handsy with Vic all she wants
It's not really 'double standards' that are the problem here. I have no idea who this lady is, but she looks to have been a fetching young woman- 11 years ago. I wouldn't be shocked if our man was fucking her, with mutual consent from both parties.

She failed to get him to put a ring on it before giving it up, and now she's pissy about missing that bus.

I don't go on ResetEra but someone on twitter found this. Looks like Chuck Huber has made their shit list for being a big scary Christian who hangs with Vic.

If Todd became an unwilling ally due to circumstances, Chuck (by all accounts) could become the hero's friend who sticks with him through the fire. Wasn't it just last week that Vic and Chuck hung out together?

This whole thing literally is a goddamned anime :story: Even the villains are over the top ridiculous

Let's remember something from earlier in light of the pathetic complaint by Soye.

Beard said he would get these people in jail for perjury he caught them lying in court. Ron lied a lot in this complaint about Mr Beard and if we've learned anything from Mr Beard is that he won't allow his own reputation to be tarnished only now he doesn't have a conscious in the form of Vic telling him not to destroy his enemies.

This man/woman just committed seppuku the likes of which we have never seen before. The only question now is he stupid enough to keep lying Even in court and go to jail or get depersoned from existence after what Im sure is going to be two lawsuits coming for him.

They seem to be referencing a recent interview of his where Chuck Huber talks about how fringe sciences fascinate him and he talks about his theories about reality and how it might be different depending on your perspective of human/god/whatever. He also references the 200 proofs of flat earth site

Q. What is some of your favorite geeky media?
Chuck:
I love Dr. Who. I love Star Wars. I love Star Trek. I love astronomy. Like, I’m more into actual science. I’m like a real science nerd, but I’m a fringe science nerd so I like things like Electric Universe Theory. I’m currently interested in the Bedford Level experiment, which is an experiment in the late 1800s which proved the earth is flat.
Q. Whoa. That’s like… psych!
Chuck:
I know! It’s blowing my mind. And actually I’m going to try and get Grant to do this myth-busting thing with me. Like, because water goes to level, right? So water is always level. And the earth curves at eight inches per mile and the square of the distance. So that means that at five miles there should be almost a twelve foot bulge in the water. In a twelve mile stretch or five mile stretch, you shouldn’t be able to see from one end to the other, like if you were in a canal.
So the Bedford Level experiment was in a canal. And it had one person standing at one point in the canal, and then boats, rafts, stretched out with flags—five foot flags—on them. And that person could see all the flags through the telescope.
Q. Whaaaaaat?
Chuck:
I know! The earth is flat! It’s totally flat! And like, some of the pictures they show… for example, from Iron Mt. in New York, you can see the skyline of New York and the skyline of Philadelphia. They’re 120 miles apart, and it is perfectly flat between them.
I actually think that what we live in is more akin to a video game. And when you talk about the reality in a video game… Well, a video game has one reality when you’re playing it as a player, and has another reality when you’re on the sort of topographical map region of it, and then another reality when you’re the programmer. So it’s both flat and round. You know, it’s round when you go up into space because that’s how you see it, and then it’s actually flat when it’s rendering in real time for you.
Q. That’s really fascinating. I’m going to have to go look that up now.
Chuck:
Oh, it’s great! Look up the “200 Proofs that the Earth is Flat.” I saw it and I was like, “My mind is blown! The earth might be flat!”

Basically he seems to just be open to the idea that it might be and finds some of the evidence there to be compelling enough to believe there's some truth to it. Of course they simplified it to 'he believes in a literal flat earth lol' because his weird fringe science fascination has some bearing on whether or not he's allowed to weigh in on whether a person is guilty or innocent.

Which, and I speak from my knowledge of Christianity on this, is nonsense.

There is no line in the Bible that tells Man to turn his brain off. There is God saying He created "the heavens and the Earth", but there are no details given for HOW that happened, and God does not discourage speculation on doing so in any way.

Further, only thing God says NOT to do is try and imitate him (via actual attempts at divination and sorcery, as in, making a no shit attempt to cast actual magic), but we are free to intellectually speculate about the mechanics of our universe all we wish.

If I understand what you're saying, I agree. Chuck seems to just be speculating and making up kind of weird theories about reality and how the world might work (ie something about it seeming flat if you're on it but round if you're off it/reality being like a video game). It's odd, but seems to just be from a genuine fascination with weird fringe theories. He'll probably change his mind later if he sees something else that's interesting. They're just running with 'lol flat earther' because they think it discredits him about something completely unrelated.

Speaking of discredited, I never bothered to pay any attention to the JW thing because I couldn't care any less about Channel Awesome than I do, but reading that reddit post where they actually discussed the accusations...huh. Unless there was some follow up where the one who claimed to have actually been raped had some kind of proof, even that sounds like a bunch of 'pay attention to me, I'm bravely coming forward about someone who's dead and can't defend himself' bs.

As an OG fan of Red vs Blue since before youtube even existed and you had to download videos to watch them because embedded video didn't even exist yet.... It pains me deep inside my soul to see what that company has become. Shane's Letter made it clear that RT was dead. RWBY should have been laid peacefully to rest with Monty When he died.

Poor man went far before his time.

I forgot to add this quote last time.

That letter explains why RWBY went from a show I stumbled across on netflix one day and found unexpectedly awesome to a complete crapfest from late s3 onward. I assumed it was just that Monty didn't leave enough notes and so it just slowly ran out of steam.

The letter doesn't seem to say anything about it, but I'm going to take this opportunity to believe in the original draft of s3 Torchwick continues to be the best character in the show and doesn't randomly die as a punchline during the climax of the season.

Ron has written out a document full of defamation, signed it with his fucking drivers license identification included, got it notarized by the State of Texas and then had it sent to the attorney threatening to sue him for...defamation.

I think we have finally found the bottom. I cannot for the life of me come up with any way someone could do anything dumber.

Oh oh I know.

Mr.Ms. Soye goes for a IRL twitter block -- a restraining order. Citing all the threats and harassment and what have you that exist only in his head.

"Nuh uh, you can't sue me. BLOCKED!"
