If he's going to KC and the signing is on a different day from the studio it's not completely incriminating for him to show up, but it would mean taking time away from KC where he could be having fun and making money to drive in heavy traffic back and forth.

I'm starting to seriously think Sean might actually neck himself if he ever gets booted from voicing Goku. He is way too attached to the role. Goddamn man, it won't kill you to admit there have been other Goku's.
It's sad because I think he's the best English Goku anyway, so why be insecure that other people have also played him?

I believe Funimation is capable of authorizing things like the Bulma patch, which is why TFS still exists and hasn't been sued into oblivion by Toei despite their numerous YT takedowns. Toei could maybe overrule them, but it'd need to be a big enough deal to veto them instead of just letting Funimation handle it.

they're autistic in their defense of their IPs. there were dbs episodes that'd appear on youtube with heavy distortion that were gone in literal seconds.

There's 'istandwithvic' or 'istandwithbroly' t shirts out there. They're just smart enough to use a silhouette of Broly instead of the actual image. If you look at TFS images you'll see that they use stuff that you can clearly infer is 'x copyrighted character' or a reference to said person without actually being them. The Bulma patch is just Bulma and has her name on it.
About TFS, I've been hearing disheartening things about them on this thread. I love their work, and the fact that they try not to insert anything political into them is great, but from this thread they aren't being painted in the best light. I know KaiserNeko is a "believe wahmen" type of guy, which again is disheartening, but are the rest of the crew like this too?
TFS main cast are all heavily left leaning. Their twitters tend to be focused on their politics often. You'll also see it come up in their long-running gaming streams like their Nuzlocke or drunk streams. They're just smart enough to know that political jokes age badly and are rarely funny to start with, so they keep that stuff out of their works. They do censor some of their jokes according to their stance, though. Originally in HUA there was going to be a violent rape joke about that crazy woman Alucard impales on a boat, but they decided it was too gross and inappropriate, so they cut it short.

Yeah, you really really do. If you find yourself facing criminal charges the absolute best thing you can hope for is having a Defense Attorney who the Prosecutor knows, respects and trusts. Someone that he has a beer with every now and then. Someone that the Prosecutor is willing to do a bit of horse trading with. For you this can be the difference between a major felony and 5 years inside, or getting plead down to a misdemeanor with some community service. You don't want a Lawyer that treats the Prosecution as "The Enemy". You want one that views them as the opposition. Court isn't a bloodsport. It's not two hereditary enemies battling it out to the end. Or it only is if the Lawyers are stupid. Your lawyer is your advocate. He is there to achieve the best possible outcome for you. Not to engage in pointless trial by combat to amuse the masses. Having a lawyer that has the trust and respect of his peers, particularly his adversarial peers really does benefit you.
You assume goodwill with the defense attorney. It can be just as bad if your defendant is friends with the prosecutor. As much as the prosecutor might agree to a plea deal instead of throwing the book at you, the defense can just decide you should plea instead of vigorously defending you. Or, even worse, they'll be trading around 'wins' for their records. You don't want that.
