Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

These aren't professional people who will act like responsible adults. These fucking babies will pull every stupid litigant trick in the book, pretending they never received mail and other similar misbehaving child bullshit trick they can imagine.
I'd entirely expect the papers to be served by a process server, since there's no reason to not. But I was under the impression that for the pre-lawsuit letters, they'd pretty much just have to show that those were mailed to the defendant's address.

Also let's not overestimate these galaxy minds. Refusing to sign for the letters would be smart. Tweeting that you received them and :) you're :) not :) worried! :) :) would be really dumb. Anybody want to place bets on which is more likely?

What's interesting to me is that Ty believes this to be defamatory. I wouldn't have considered it to be defamatory, since it's technically just saying 'but what if it were true', not 'but it is true'.

shes going to get shot if she keeps that up and doesnt wind up in jail for those offenses.

Tomorrow this will be screenshot and up on whatever alt hasn't been banned as proof of a 'death threat'.

I'm assuming that's what Nick meant to a possible reaction. Strangely enough Soye was extremely quiet for once

Maybe he went back to his lawyer again, or maybe he spent the day reading each tweet and explanation for why he was dumb to make that tweet.

lol Even if you're generous and say it was 100, that's still nothing compared to Vic's 10 HOURS of fans.

And Vic's ten hours were just for him. Monica shared the absolute most of 100 fans (with much fewer actually paying her anything, I'd think) with three or four other people.\

Im pretty sure ron still thinks Vic has to prove hes inocent lmfao, i really wanna know who is feeding him legal info...

His left foot.

Nick has said he wasn't referring to Shane. So it's more like shooting someone in the head, missing, but somehow the bullet still hits the person directly behind them. (Luckily, in this case, Shane.)

EDIT: holy crap, La Choy finally blocked me. And all it took was a lifetime of never once even farting in his general direction. Guess I must have liked the wrong post. lol The absolute state of these beta-cucks!

Interesting how new waves of people get blocked by him every time he gets a legal spook. But he's not worried about anything. :) Nothing at all. :) He just block chains people every time he sees a sparrow outside and thinks it reminds him of Ty. :)

Think they'll still deny the lawsuit when people get served?

They'll say it's a scare tactic until the lawsuit starts. Then they'll say it's a sham lawsuit that's designed to drain the poor victims of money and shellshock them by making them relive their trauma, deliberately wasting court time. Then they'll say that Vic is a rich criminal who used his money and the money of his rape-apologist fans to get out of justice and this is a sign that rape culture is real and we need to believe victims absolutely, because the law won't protect them so we have to.

The ones who aren't too sued to dare saying anything else defamatory, anyway.

I'm not gonna happy unless this ends with at least one of the defendants (or idiot being deposed) sperging the fuck out in court or deposition, and being tased and put in handcuffs.

And it has to be video taped.

EDIT: And shown on Court TV.
EDIT2: Repeatedly.

These aren't the papers, though. These are letters that they're required to send the defendant before they can file the lawsuit. After they file the lawsuit, then they'll have to serve it, and that's typically done by a process server (although someone posted that it can also be done by mail in Texas).
I know I was just saying for the suit ti would be a process server. Also refusal to sign can also count as service in some situations

That's a bad look for at least 1 of those.....
wouldn't having Funimation one of the first ones good? they'd have to supply their investigation during the discovery to prove that sexual 'assault' was the cause while also explaining why they allowed their VA's to keep their jobs even after their threats. Could be wrong tbh.

Meant bad for FUNi.

What a horrible legal hassle! Forcing cons to keep the contract they make with him even if they get news from Twitter that he sometimes makes people uncomfortable! It's not like they could just keep contracts with him when they make them and have no problem, or even adjust their contracts to allow for more exit clauses! Nope. Can't do that, just refuse to book the guy who fills up an entire floor of a giant convention hall full of fans willing to pay $50 an autograph multiple days in a row.

I can just imagine Ms. Choy desperately running away from a courier/process server shouting "I'M NOT BEING SUED!! YOU'RE JUST AN ALT-RIGHT TROLL!! GET AWAY FROM ME!!!".

I saw a video yesterday of this idiot drunk teenager(? He might have been a noodly 20s) who came up and inserted himself into a conversation with a police officer dealing with someone else, and kept drunkenly slurring "You realize that you are not a law enforcement officer?" and "I don't have to listen because you're not actually a cop" while filming him with his phone (vertically, because he's an awful person). Eventually the cop told him that he was under arrest, and he immediately ran away into the street, tripped over his own feet, and smashed his face into the ground.

I'd like to think that's how Ron Toye will handle things.

In every jurisdiction I'm aware of, you can actually throw the fucking thing at them. No signature required. At least that's the case here in Arizona (I was thinking of becoming one, and discussed that about a billion pages ago... I think @AnOminous probably remembers). The legal system is well aware some people are gonna try to get out of being served, so they don't make the requirements too onerous.

This is a movie, but it's not that far off from the truth:

To keep with the anime theme the server needs to be a demon infused Shinobu who pursues him with bankai powered flash steps
ew, no those anime are completely incompatible with each other.

it'd be better to make them either half-demons with bankai powered flash steps or shinobu with stand powers.

Imagine waking up, you wash your ass, get your cup of coffee and walk out the door only to trip over a dying mailman. The light in his eyes is fading, his spine is contorted into some weird arcane sigil that makes your eyes sting as you look at it. He's being crushed by a cinderblock packed in a manila envelope, and your name is on it for some reason. As you rip open the packaging you discover it's not a cinderblock, but the 800 tweets you've sent since last Wednesday printed out, with a cover letter from a Texan law firm stating AYO BITCH NIGGA YOU FUCKED, WE'LL RUN A TRAIN ON YOU IN COURT in flawless legalese.

edit: just to add more context, this jarlent faggot is one of those who tried to debating nick after the disaster known as shane, also this is the only way for me to lazily archive both his tweets (the initial retarded comment and his double down reply to baddragonite0)

Oh, man, THESE idiots? In a Texas deposition? I can't wait to see how their SJW logic fucks them with no lube.

Now, of course, that means their lawyers get to depose people like Vic and Nick. How do we think they'll try and gotcha 'em?

"This is exhibit 9, a livestream in which you have a contract from Kameha Con-"

"I never said it was from Kameha Con."

"Did you know at the time it breaches the contract to disclose it?"

"It wasn't signed or executed."

etc etc etc.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but from reading on how things get served in Texas, it can be served by first class mail or delivery service such as Fed Ex. Service is considered to have occurred when it is handed over to the mail system etc. So the Court assumes the Mail is going to get there.
