Okay I realize that I'm going to get some negative responses to this.... But do you honestly really want him in jail? Jail fkn sucks. It would be especially traumatic for him. Call me a WK if you like.

I wonder if we could throw his bail? It's not like we wouldn't get our money back eventually.

Why on earth would we do that? These forums have supported him enough. Chris has demonstrated time and again that he is not willing to learn, nor would he be grateful for any assistance rendered to him.... it'd all merely be what he expects from peasants not of the Royal Weston Bloodline.

He has to learn, in some form, that what he does is not acceptable and he should not expect people to bail him out every time.

He has done really stupid things several times now and each time he has evaded serious punishment. If this were the first time I'd understand, but it's far from it. He has shown time and time again he doesn't learn his lessons, now it's finally time for him to actually face proper consequences.

I don't want him to go to prison for more than maybe two weeks / month but that's really not my case to decide.
A long period of House Arrest enforced by a GPS leg collar would be imo more appropriate for Chris.

I mostly don't want him to go to Prison because I enjoy seeing him tarding out and if he goes to a real prison, we're going to be looking at a long dry spell of Chris content.

Could the video court be due to this being the Xmas/New Year period and most staff being on leave?

Video court is pretty standard for processing, since you don't have to load a big truck full of potentially dangerous people and get them all to a public building and safely back to jail. I doubt they're understaffed for the holidays (at least any more so than they might be any other time of the year).

They do video arraignments when you are crazy or dangerous and can't be brought into a courtroom. He's probably strapped to a bed right now.

They do it for a lot of reasons, including simple expediency, public safety, flight risk, and injured inmates who require special accomodations like oxygen tanks. It's really common and not something they're doing because Chris is an unusual case.

Whenever the actual court date is set to, I may or may not be able to attend myself! I live in North Carolina so Charlottesville's not terribly far, certainly closer than @Cyan and @Indigo are, if they wanted to take a break lol. Plus I have some Christorian friends that could make the trip more bearable lol

Speaking of which, I told them about the incident, then echoed some member's sentiments of "all over Sonic Boom!" and one friend said
"Sonic Boom did something right for once."

If it's a choice between having him in jail, or having him macing innocent people...

I kinda agree with you only because when he got arrested last time he did the whole genie, kick at the bars and talk to the sink deal. So now there is no telling what he did this time maybe they are taking precautions

This is why he's getting it done via video. After a long federal holiday, there's going to be a LOT of people locked up, and they need to get people moving. Chris just managed to pick a bad time to be a criminal.

So, male or female prison?

If Chris goes to jail or prison, it will be as a man in a man's ward. Essentially, if you are trans, the law doesn't give a shit unless you have full surgery. Then they probably will transfer him.

If Chris wants to avoid showering with dudes he has to hack off his dick and balls.

I don't think he'll do anywhere near enough time to warrant that however.

The pepper spray charge is the most serious but proving it will be hard, as long as Chris has a good legal representative. It all hinges on the GameStop employee who, given he wasn't hurt, probably just wants to get on with his life and forget this weird day.

Of course, if Chris represents himself and does something colossally stupid such as admit to using the spray but trying to justify it under some insane sorry theory ("He was a brute and rude to me and said I was male, so I maced his ass!"), then he is up shit creek.

With a competent lawyer Chris will dodge most of the charges brought a lack of evidence/commitment on behalf of the victims, and through plea deals.

Without representation he is a rat forced to do calculus to survive. Into at case he is beyond fucked; even the most educated, intelligent man who represents himself has a fool for a client. If he doesn't have a good defender Chris is doomed.

Yeah, this. The only way I know about the arraignments on the weekend etc is a roommate of mine in college got busted for drunk driving. He was video arraigned and then released on personal recognizance (i.e. no bail), so it's not like they thought he was crazy/dangerous. It's just an efficient way to get a shitload of people to make a plea/arraignment really quickly.

Also of note this confirms that Chris is faces at minium a class 6 fellony perhaps a class 3

The whole situation is like something from a classic tragedy. Sonic the Hedgehog, the very thing which gave his life purpose and meaning, was ultimately the very thing that ruined his life. Part of me wants to think that the Blue Arms Saga™ had nothing to do with the color of Sonic's arms as it was a last-ditch effort to desperately cling onto his childhood.

it depends on whether or not the state of Virginia takes into account gender identity. and whether or not chris can be really considered transgender.
I believe someone in the first thread posted a story about a Virginian man who was transistioning while in prison was moved to a female prison after the surgery
But its a moot point because Chris is not transgender, despite his claims. If he was he wouldn't brag about his dick, for one
