Bob never really had a peak. His Pixar review was, I suppose, a mild foothill. Alas, its foundations are drowned in toxic waste.

In actuality, Bob pretty much says the same kinds of things in every video (and is usually wrong about one or two facts.) . His twitter feed is where he's more likely to get careless and toss out gems like "The future I deserve," and "What would Mario THINK of us?"

Let's not forget "autism blackface," "they're nothing but bones and meat," and -- of course -- "Mayonnaise ghouls." (Has he ever actually mentioned the Wasteland Ghouls in a video? He definitely lets his freak flag fly much more wildly on Twitter.)

The main character is Larson's incredibly self-involved failure-to-launch woman-child, yet somehow these traits are "sincere" and "adorkable" when she does them. How Blob would have reacted to this exact same character when portrayed by a FUCKING WHITE MALE is an exercise I leave to the reader.

Her performance is actually sincere. She plays a self-absorbed, arrogant, and prickly person. You can’t get much more sincere when effectively playing yourself.

If it weren't for twitter siphoning off so much of the waste, we'd see a lot more of it bubbling over in his videos though. He isn't exactly known for maintaining a professional decorum even with it.

Videos take a little bit more of an effort to make. Not saying that Bob puts quality effort into his videos in the first place, but typing out a screed of stupidity is a little easier than filming one.

I used to think Larson is a great actress. Now it seems to me she just had the fortune to work with great casting agents who found her all those "adorkable plain Jane in unusual situation" roles, the only kind of roles that she'd fit in. The fact that Netflix failed to launch Unicorn Store after she won her Oscar speaks volumes about both the quality of the film and the quality of Larson as an actress.

As for Bob's peak, that depends one what you're looking for.

1. His early film review and game overthinker episodes were decent enough at the time (I still like his old Mamma Mia and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen reviews). They are rough around the edges by todays standards, but that's the high point of unironic Bob quality. Had he kept it up he could have been a Cinema Snob/Brandon Tenold tier YouTuber by now.
2. His cringe lolcow peak was around Game Overthinker episode 50 and him writing Brick by Brick. This is where you had him telling gamers to lose weight and filming himself at a local park in long johns pretending to be a ninja and saying everyone who likes Call of Duty is a redneck who collects DUIs.
3. Finally there's the gamergate era angry political Bob where he exists today. I don't know what his peak here would be. "No bad tactics" is always a classic. It's too early to tell, but I think his rant about how he earned his Jetsons future and Trump took it away might be it, that or him him getting fired from the Escapist because he couldn't stop ranting about gamergate. Though I still like when he said he seriously considered buying a house boat and going to live in international waters.

I will always take some satisfaction in knowing that for all his arrogance, Bob is a deeply unhappy person and will most likely die an unhappy shell of a human being. It bears repeating: for as repulsive as he is physically, Bob is even more so on the inside.
