He's reeing how even if Monica is found to have defamed Vic and loses the case she'll still get more work than Vic and will make up any lost money in a year.Anybody know what Homeberg is sperging out on twitter about? Specifically today, I mean.
Ugh. I'm surprised Shane's still spewing shit out of the fountain of his mouth, the guy really has nothing to look forward to other than disappointing his two familes. Also, sieg Zeon.Something about Monica's "endgame." It's honestly too exceptional to bother looking into.
Evidently, the tweets are being archived by her prior to deletion, so that they can still be used as evidence. It's supposedly what Soye was doing with his deleted tweets. Supposedly.
Tweets considered defamatory, I'm guessing? They'd be deleted as part of the end agreement, so it's only natural for them to be deleted at some point.I'm still confused.
What's the point of deleting tweets that you need for evidence? What are the tweets?

If Vic wins who's gonna hire Monica if it's proven she made up bullshit about sexual allegations? That's the kind of person you don't deal with if you can avoid itHe's reeing how even if Monica is found to have defamed Vic and loses the case she'll still get more work than Vic and will make up any lost money in a year.

No. The article was written with the help of people in Texas and was specifically marketed in Texas by people in Texas, all for the purposes of conspiring to commit defamation which caused harm, in Texas, to someone who lives in Texas. So, some of the website's users are in Texas. To quote an exceptional idiot: "This ain't it, chief."
And nothing of value was lost.
Her mediocre lines and fanbase are proof enough even before all this shit went down. She was garbage then and she's garbage now.If Vic wins who's gonna hire Monica if it's proven she made up bullshit about sexual allegations? That's the kind of person you don't deal with if you can avoid it
You'd think so. But you'd be wrong. In Shane's defense, I may have advised him to eat a shoe at some point.Just look at Rekieta's Twitter feed and you'll see.
How does a website in Canada "specifically market to Texas"?No. The article was written with the help of people in Texas and was specifically marketed in Texas by people in Texas, all for the purposes of conspiring to commit defamation which caused harm, in Texas, to someone who lives in Texas.
That's an awful lotta "in Texas".
It's a civil case. You don't get extradited if you don't show up. You just lose your case. Then the judgment creditor files a motion in your local court to domesticate the foreign judgment, executes on it, and collects like they would any other judgment.

I'm all for dragging these lying assholes into court. But you may have to go to Canada to actually do that.
But also, didn't Nick say it would actually be worse for ANN to get sued in Canada because their defamation laws are much worse for the defendents there?
Is that how it worked in Hughes v. Benjamin? I may have been misinformed. It's a civil case. You don't get extradited if you don't show up. You just lose your case. Then the judgment creditor files a motion in your local court to domesticate the foreign judgment, executes on it, and collects like they would any other judgment.
Sterling was living in the US at the time.Jim Sterling got dragged to court in whatever bumfuck state that was all the way from the UK because the person who sued him bought some merch thus proving that he did business there. I'm sure they can come up with some reason to drag ANN to Texas.

EDIT: And, if I recall, there was an issue of Jurisdiction there too. Romine literally said his state had jurisdiction because he bought a shirt online. Which is exactly what I'm hearing here, re: "well I can view their website." That's an example of 'significant contact' that got laughed out of court.
I didn't say it was dismissed. I said he lacked jurisdiction. It wasn't dismissed for that, though, but under FRCPs 8 and 12(b)(6) for being unintelligible garbage, not stating a cause of action, and the plaintiff not being able to represent "Digital Homicide" because he is not a lawyer and didn't plead anything that alleged he had some personal cause of action.
