Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I can't even bring myself to stay in Nick's chat for long because of how one-minded they are. They've been arguing with speds on twitter for months and it's affected how they talk, getting upset about all this stuff or thinking it's gonna change your life cause you're part of a "movement" is just exceptional.

Makes me wonder what both sides are gonna do once all of this is over.

Have you seen how Gamergate played out? The people got too involved to move on and stuck to their increasingly isolated hugboxes thinking it's still a thing. Take one look at Secretgamergirl thread to see how one side will end up and another look at the Kotakuinaction thread to see how the other side will probably end up.

I don't care that much for the crazy SJWs who think GG is still happening because they are likely gonna be arrested for their private PizzaGate reasons, but KotakuinAction is how autism like OAG and Sargon are allowed to exist.

I understand SJWs are the enemy of common sense, but going maximum sperg will only feed the delusions of the dangerhairs

Looks like we got 'mentioned' (Archive)

EDIT: I can't find it now, but yesterday I saw someone on that twitter thread claim that one of their friend are one of Vic's victim
Wojack posting confirmed a mental illness

don't know much about usher, gonna read his thread one day, but from Sargon it seems a lot of the GG talking heads lose stream due to their former audiences noticing the became focusing in on shit and thinking that political action can address social woes like dumbasses
in a way SJWS are self sustaining, while the more retarded lazer focused anti-sjws are self destructive.

I tried glancing through the website to see if it was a hiccup and I'm not finding Casey Erick. I think it's too soon to say he was removed from the firm, but that definitely is not a good a sign. They could have removed his name to avoid heat temporarily but this will be an interesting thing Nick might talk about.

Kick Vic would say its, "Not a good look", but I hope no one embarrasses themselves by making a clickbait video about this because it's probably nothing. Someone could have hacked their site for all we know. Anyway, here are the links that I found,

His profile redirects to a page not found.

His name no longer appears on their employment and commercial litigation pages.

People are grasping at straws claiming the picture is fake because they're scared proof that Michelle knew Vic means he did what she claimed. They should calm down and realize that undoubtedly Ty and the Amazons already asked Vic about this woman's story since it was spread around a while back, and they must have been satisfied with his response.
For what it's worth, I actually believe her story. That said, the photo with Vic in it DOES look like an awkward photoshop. I don't think she went to the level of effort it'd take to do it, but Vic's head looks really weird to me, and I thought that when I first saw it.

I do not disagree with your statement. In fact, we already have that very scenario with PULL, Kanzenshuu, some subreddits and other forums on the KickVic side. I don't know any for the ISWV side, though.
We'll see what happens when the lawsuit ends.

I think the biggest difference between Weeb Wars and GamerGate is that lawsuits are involved.
We know HaberGaiden will be monitored as well as Anime Matsuri v. Boycott Anime Matsuri (I'm curious to see if Renfamous' daddy will bail out his stupid daughter from the incoming storm).
Maybe Vic enters Round 2? We don't know for sure. But if Vic decides to follow through on Round 2, we'll see cows moo to the heavens.

I wouldn't jump the gun but those are two unusual choices. I can't imagine why they wouldn't want their employment and commercial litigation associated with Casey S. Erick. Oh wait actually I sort of can. But who knows, maybe they're just updating them.

Something that might actually be more meaningful is his next filing.

Those actually legally have to be accurate so if it still says that next time, he's still there at least as of the date he signs it. If anything's changed, either it will be someone else (if they retained the firm and not the guy) or it won't say that.

Her story would be pretty solid if the church that was contacted didn't explicitly say "we would never hire Vic" among other things that I can't be fucked to look up right now. It's the best story KV's got, and yet they didn't include it in the response to the original pleading. I want to know why these ingrates didn't include a single testimony in their response; it'd be a hell of a lot better than citing the SJW barbarian headquarters that is PULL amd a Tumblr blog that's now been wiped clean.

Seems like an oddly specific technical issue that only fucked up pages related to a very specific lawyer who may or may not have some of the internet spotlight shone on him in a less than favourable way. Then again as a law firm this can't be their first rodeo into the world of defending people who aren't popular with specific groups so they've probably got a little handbook of what to do when the mobs start lighting pitchforks.

Casey isn't a bad lawyer by any means, reading through some of his work for this case you can almost feel the MoRon gun to his head. Between the discory hand over and Funimations reply next week will either be great or absolute dogshit for the poor man.

Good chance they just nuked his pages to maybe stops the spergs rating them 1 star etc and you can't really fault them for doing that, then again as lawyers this can't be their first rodeo into the world of defending people who aren't popular with specific groups so they've probably got a little handbook of what to do when the mobs start lighting pitchforks.

My guess (and others have guessed this as well) is that it's an attempt to go low profile, as the case has garnered a ton of attention from both sides and many on both sides are spergs.

We'll find out more on next filing with court by Casey.

EDIT: Casey isn't even a named partner, so this may very well just be damage control.

  • Agree
Reactions: Bush did USS Maine
As long as they don't go full chambersofautist its fine imo.

That still blows me away that she argued with The Farms through Twitter instead of having the decency of making a profile to address the situation here. Even @Shane_Yes_That_One made a profile and we all know his IQ level.

For what it's worth, MoRon's original answer included a reference to the original twitter thread of her story in their garbage "Factual Background" section:
