J.K. Rowling needs to stop messing with Harry Potter - A general STFU J.K. Rowling MegaThread <3

People over the age of 13 need to stop sperging over Harry Potter, but that's neither here nor there.

Or, read any book on mythology, because that's where Rowling got all the ideas from. I guess if it doesn't have Harry Potter's name on it fans won't read it.
I feel like the series started out a fairly original, innocent bildungsroman, then JK thought she was JRR the Wicca version, and then she discovered tumblr.

EDIT: Engrish

What will happen is that she'll say that Snape was gay for Harry's father, but repressed those feelings. Oh, what about those memories in Deathly Hallows you say? Part of the way Snape repressed his memories was by flipping Lilly and James' roles in the story, mind, blown!
I can see this happening if only to retcon the Incel Snape way she wrote his character. I didn't pay much attention to Rowling before she started sperging about her characters being retroactively diverse but I'm pretty sure she was fond of the character, and especially in current year all the unsavory elements of his character need to be wokewashed so he can be deemed acceptable to like.

JK Rowling is like the anti-Tolkien with how godawful her "expanded universe" is. You can clearly tell by reading the Harry Potter books alone that worldbuilding is her weakest aspect. It isn't surprising that everything truly went to shit when she started trying to flesh out the universe.

How is he not acceptable to like in Current Year? He's a beta male and a cuck.

Gotta keep m!lking some more:
So for those who can't be bothered to click the link, basically JK Rowling is so desperate to stay relevant she is literally just using some of the Pottermore crap she shat out and claimed as work to make "e-books", which are not e-books at all. The content seems to be rambling insanity, lazy rip offs of images, with pictures and stuff and some twee little animations.

It is an e-book that can not actually be called a book, and it is being made because she's desperate to pretend she's not a one work wonder. In reality it shows she probably at best spends a half-hour or so on each idea and she can't really care to world build.

Griffons were based on protoceratops skeletons so that means they're technically lizards. Basically the greeks thought the dinosaurs were flying bird mammal creatures which was the first historical event of technical misidentification because the dinosaur bones were presented as offerings to the temples under the guise of being monsters from Grecian lore.

Thus all depictions of a griffon are anti-trans because just like transexuals they were misidentified and society at large ignored their true identity for thousands of years.

basically what I'm saying is that Prisoner of Azkaban's cover is literally the same as releasing a book with a big nazi symbol on it.

So she must remove all mentions of Griffons or Hypogriffs from her books.

Jo claims to have a lot of notes she made while writing Harry Potter. The best thing she could do with it is to publish her notes, doodles, and all that crap adding some of her thoughts and explaining how she created the whole Potterverse and how the whole adventure was. Honestly, it'd feel like a more honest book and a better approach to explain her fans the real origins of the story. I've seen her drawings and they're cute. I'd definitely buy that book instead of whatever she's trying to do now.

Her worldbuilding isn't that bad. What she offered was enough to explain the story we were given and that's it. She never intended to create more than her books, but then, I'm sure she never expected to have obsessive fans who couldn't move on from the books. The worldbuilding in Fantastic Beasts isn't that bad, but it's childish and repetitive if you're a person who's been exposed to more different fantasy worlds beyond Harry Potter. You can feel how she's out of ideas and she seems forced to create and repeat what she presented in the original books but she can't. I honestly don't blame her for that, but I don't feel sorry for her because she agreed on making these movies.

I know we often make fun of GRRM for taking so much time writing, but his World of Ice and Fire book is exactly what Pottermore should have been. It's a collection of stories from the point of view of a Maester who's trying to educate a young prince on history. We don't need every detail about Aegon I, only how he conquered Westeros and we have that. JKR should just take a whole year working on something similar and move on. In fact, Fantastic Beast should have been an anthology rather than a story about a man nobody really cares about.

The thing is she was planning on doing that. Shortly after Deathly Hallows she talked about writing an encyclopedia on the wizarding world but that got replaced with Pottermore.

I apologize if this already posted, but I'm not really interested in reading 18 pages of content, but this Gus Johnson faggot really summed it up with this video.

I love Gus lmao. The videos where he reads the Google reviews of shit in his hometown are great.

Pottermore is quite mediocre and disappointing, though. Or maybe I'm old school and I prefer an old book instead of "collective interaction".

I have a theory that she went with pottermore for the ease of editing things to her new narrative instead of having everything locked in with ink and paper with the encyclopedia

I'd add a caveat that she was too lazy to worldbuild and write a detailed world (she only has like 10 schools and that's one of the many reasons why I ignore her outside book lore) and wanted something easier first. Then she realized she can make shit up and lie about what she wrote on the spot and turned it into that when she realized she's never getting a big hit like HP again.

I fucking dare her to say that, Snape's character hinged on him loving only one woman.
She might say he's a tranny and that's why his patronus was a doe rather than a buck. Tumblr thinks it's true.

What I really want is a short story about Hagrid's parents and upbringing. The dad fell in love with a giantess, right? That must have been weird.
I'm just glad the thread got necroed after more people found out about DESIGNATED WIZARD STREETS
Don't they just shit their pants wherever and then vanish the poop to the sewer dimension?
