I don't mind her "only Brits" rule, tbh. UK has amazing actors and it was cool to be introduced to many I didnt' know.
I also can understand why she likes Hermione, but it's so sad they never portrayed her vulnerability, the actual flaws that make her likeable. And Emma Watson became such a terrible actress.
With the character in movies it was the opposite of what happened to Hermione because Rupert Grint improved his acting skills with time. And they made Ron a goof. In many aspects, he's way more assertive than Hermione. And he's the only one who can put her in her place when she needs to be.
It's not so much as an only Brits rule though - there does seem to be malice on her part about it if you've read her previous quotes. I also don't mind the actors - Gary Oldman is my all time favorite in fact. But you choose the correct actors not based on their nationality but based on their best ability to represent said characters. Heath Ledger is an Aussie, but many fans of Batman believe he is the BEST joker we've ever seen, even though the Joker is American. (Batman is ALSO American but a brit played him in that movie as well).
LOTR's also didn't have this rule but what if it did? An ONLY Brit rule? We wouldn't have the Frodo, Sam, Aragon, Arwen, or Faramir we recognize today (There could be more, but that's just the ones off the top of my head). The majority of the actors fit perfectly even with the rule in place (although some just...I still can't see like Lupin) but the rule just seems more like an FU to Americans than it is in insuring the best actors will be able to fit the role.
Though I'll be honest - she's anti brexit, so she probably hates her own country of origin as well. I don't know how any patriotic Brit would be pro remain. Britain is great on it's own - it doesn't need Europe to also be proud. It ruled practically the whole world centuries ago for gods sake.
