They don't get a kick out of banning obvious trolls. The accounts that wind them up the most are their allies who subscribe to just enough wrong-think to remind them a good number of their side even thinks the leaders of Resetera are totally fucking unhinged.

You can't run a video game forum with 40,000 users minus the 8,000 banned and be left with a complete echo chamber. This upsets the lolcows in this topic because many normies are still around them and finding ways to upset them.

When you run a troll account on this forum the slow boil approach is needed. Pretend to be woke but leave enough room for some mild wrong-think and you'll wind them up. They already think anyone who doesn't frequent in the why women criticize topic is probably a troll.

On some level, they have know to this, and while they may not consciously admit it, they WANT someone to believe the bullshit they believe, even if they are a liar in disguise.

The loons in charge are moral hypocrites and they have to know it, but deluding themselves into believing otherwise is their bread and butter, and banning trolls they know are parroting what they believe is counterproductive to hearing what they want to hear, so they instead punish the sincere people with wrong opinions so they hear the trolls kiss their ass while still not feeling a moral disconnect by banning a dissenter in good faith (bad faith by their moral hypocritical standards).
