i am a long ff fan, i tried ffxiv for a bit and found it to be the best looking MMO (at the time) but I got bored incredibly quickly. i've played wow extensively and can enjoy a good solo grind for achievements and such. is it worth giving ffxiv a shot again? i've been in the mood for something like it and with the new content and all that, seems like it might be enjoyable.
just cut your dick off and you'll be fine, aren't all trannies healers?I wish I could find an FFXIV free company that wasn't full of trannies so I could raid.![]()
Is the game really that infested? I plan on raiding either as a melee dps or tank and I’d hope to avoid troon insanity.just cut your dick off and you'll be fine, aren't all trannies healers?

What’s everyone’s favorite 14 job for each category ala. melee, tank, ranged, caster? I’m in the post nonskippable cutscene ARR content and I’m having a bit of a character crisis. I leveled so far as monk but the positionals are starting to irritate me.
I was thinking about Ninja initially, but I don’t like being that dependent on party buffs to earn my keep. Monk seemed like a good middle ground. Good damage, some utility. I’m trying to just get to Dark Knight with Monk but holy fucking shit is the Realm Reborn shit long, and it’s worth noting that I don’t have chakra attacks yet and the job is getting some good stuff in the xpac.I've mostly played Dark Knight, Paladin, and White Mage extensively so my experience is limited across all jobs, I've been a career tank since ARR so I'll say tank. I quite like Red Mage so far, it is pretty simple overall, but the mana management is fun in 4 mans to get your melee combo ready for the boss without overcapping I'm not 70 with it though.
If you hate positionals, but like melee Ninja I think is good. It has 3 main positionals across 2 combo finishers and an ogcd, it has been a valued jobs since its release so you won't struggle to get recruited because you've stated that you want to raid in 14, it has a good skill ceiling to my knowledge and it is fairly active with a similar speed as Monk so you shouldn't get bored with playing it most likely. If you REALLY hate positionals, you can try Samurai which only has 2 and it level 50 out of the gate very straight forward melee that is get even more straight forward with Shadowbringers. Dragoon has a good amount of positionals, not as much as Monk, and they're semi rng so I wouldn't suggest that if you hate positionals.

What does leveling a new war class from 0 to par generally feel like, especially as dps comig from tank? I’d imagine it can’t be fun getting xp when you’ve burned all your quests. I’m still not quite sure how much Palace of the Dead gives.Of the 7 or 8 FC's I've joined to try to find a dedicated raid group since I picked the game up again have all have had at least a few troons going on about how stunning and brave they are. One even had a group exchanging totally real stories about how they were "sexually harassed" by co-workers and in public.
I main warrior, but I'm finally getting around to leveling ninja as well because I can't into magic classes in MMOs for whatever reason, but I do want to have the option to DPS.

FFXV wasn't embarrassing at any point in the story
FFX had an extremely dumb story
You mean like the cup-noodle product placement?Excuse me, but what...dafuq.
There's a bit in FFX where you crash through a lake of ice and wake up in a desert, which only happened because the next cutscene had an airship blow up a base in a desert. It was nowhere near that dumb not compared to FF7 at times though I do have problems with FFX's story mostly because it doesn't really make any sense (like a number of Final Fantasies).
Grinding takes actual skill in the Soulsborne games.I do, however, agree most Final Fantasies have no real challenge, but it's difficult to make an RPG challenging (well besides Souls games but even there you can always grind to win).
