  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Because he really doesn't, he's just some fag with a nice voice. He has things that gets under his skin and takes a personal dislike to but thats about as deep as it goes.

I'm not sure I'd call that a principled attitude, it could be that Jim is just as shallow as he presents himself.

Jim clearly started out with principles. He sounds like he's about to cry like a bitch in the video where he gave up on GamerGate, and in that video where he discusses sci-fi with JF he came off as having genuine wonder and interest in the ideas JF was presenting even though we all know how much of a sperg that froggie fuck turned out to be. Jim has become his own persona. Its ironic to me that he picked a faceless white manniquin with a baseball cap as his avatar, because now he truly has become that character instead of just being some dude with a mic hiding behind an edgy smiley face.

I'm also not fully convinced he's a boomer either. He acts like and has a point of reference consistent with any millenial I know that got raised on TV and movies instead of videogames.

My guess is that Jimbo isn't mad about the criticism of his merch shop, but about Null calling Montagraph:
Montagraph admitted that threatening to sue Jim is just a prank, bro – basically robbing him of easy content for the next few streams (and thus thousands of dollars).
He didn't seem to make much of it on his stream yesterday - I think Josh's call only got a passing mention.

He essentially REEEEE'd at baked alaska over principles. He reacts on his principles all the time.
Literally everyone reacts based on their principals.
What I don't understand is how exactly does Jim grilling Baked prove he somehow violated his principals in order to sell hats?
I don't recall him ever making a principled stand against merch. Just that he thought it was a bit gay. But that sure as hell wouldn't stop me from supplying people if there was a demand.

I'm not really looking for a point of attack to trigger the Jims and own the Jims, but he pretty much can't grandstand on this issue anymore.
He isn't even grandstanding on the issue now. He said himself that he was pulling a DSP and was overall pretty shameless about it. I don't understand why you think he'd even try knowing that. If he does? He deserves all the criticism he gets as a result.

He talked about it briefly. I still think it's a bit of a bad idea to take Montagraph at his word. Even removed from all this store nonsense, I don't think that guy is a particularly rational individual.

I think he is mad for both reasons. Null's call with Montagraph de-villianized him. And he wants Null to shut up about the hats because he's right.

He said its gay and he is doing it. That makes him gay and a sellout, reminds me of those skeptics he talked so much shit on. But really personally I dont even care outside the fact that he will never make a good video ever again, because there is no reason too. There is no defending this though. People are naturally opposed to sellouts.

I figured jim's new merch store was half hypothetical and half joke

Hypothetical because you can't know if/when you'll get sued by a crazy person so the last thing you want to do is not be prepared to spend $26,000 and get fired (see: asterios and maddox)

Joke because him plugging his merch store was pretty funny. And it means he finally caved to fan demand despite his protests about how a hat with stars on it isn't worth money. I for one am excited to buy Jim's hat.

The best part was when Rekita told him that if Montograph really did sue him that it would only cost around $150.

Depends on what he dues him for though, doesn't it? . Kind of seems like the asshole who would sue you, get the lawsuit dismissed, and then sue you for something else and keep it going until the court gets sick of his shit.

I mean this is the one crazy retard who understands some of how the law works and wants his pretty revenge and is also dumb as hell.
