All of this enabling is really unhealthy. If anyone ever criticizes Vade, instead of that criticism being able to (hopefully) plant itself in her head and make her consider it, someone always comes along and assures Vade that she's perfect and has done absolutely nothing wrong ever. This makes Vade instantly disregard everything that's critical of her.

I'm not saying that Vade wouldn't ignore criticism/advice on her own, because she definitely would (and has), but her small band of enablers really aren't helping anything. At all. They're not really her friends. Friends know that, sometimes, you need to give tough love to someone you care about because it's for their own good. Enablers just mindlessly validate whatever you do, no matter how self-destructive it is.

I would almost pay to see Alyssa flailing her pudgy fists at someone, chimping out over "MUH FEELWIN'S" the entire time. But even she isn't stupid enough to attack someone in a concealed carry state....Probably. Ugh, I've had to deal with people like that irl before. We had a thirty-something lady in one of my CJ classes at college who under no circumstances would admit that men can be raped by anyone other than another man. She even went so far as to claim that women can't rape men because a man would obviously enjoy it. Needless to say she also admitted that Lorena Bobbitt was a hero to her and that that's how any hetero relationship should end if the woman doesn't have all the power (because that's totally what the Bobbitt situation was about /rollseyes). I facedesk'd so many times that semester I swear I gave myself a concussion.

It must be nice to be able to plan ahead for your mental health days. I need to ask Vade where she picked up this skillset. I could arrange things with the other clerk ahead of time. "Yeah, Nessa, I'm going to be having a hallucinatory episode from 11:37 to 1:42 on Thursday, can you cover me while I'm in the bathroom playing Is It Real with the worms I see in my food? THNX."

Having known several male rape victims in my life (including one who was raped by his own mother), the notion that men can't be raped or women can't be rapists is one of the grossest things that comes out of the clusterfuck that is feminism. I really wonder what motivates someone to be that ignorant and horrible, if its just that they want to have a monopoly on that kind of victimization or they've gotten up to some shady things themselves or what.

Back on vade, she might as well just put breakdown posts on a que because they're so like clockwork and probably fake anyway.

If Vade was a reasonable person, she'd probably just take a day to be quiet and respectful, and focus on the good times they had. But since this is Vade, she's gonna BAWWW to her followers on Tumblr for an entire day.

That would require actually trying to take a step forward and come to terms with her loss, which Vade seems incapable of doing. I'm trying to be respectful about Kenneth's loss, I really am, but Vade keeps milking his death by publicly announcing how broken up she is and using it to deflect criticism instead of actually trying to come to terms with it and move on.

And anyway, if Vade really thinks that Valentine's Day will greatly upset her emotional state, why doesn't she, you know, not use the internet (or even just Tumblr) on that day? Whenever there's an event/day that I know will blow up all over social media and I want to avoid it(political stuff being the number one cause), I make an effort to not use any social media sites whatsoever. It's ridiculous for me to expect that the entire internet will revolve around me and my comfort/tolerance zone so I just avoid it. I bet soon Vade will start demanding that people tag everything related to Valentine's Day lest she unfollow them.

Yeah, Vade wouldn't feel so empty if she
  • Stopped depending so heavily on drugs and alcohol (because it honestly seems like whenever she runs into a rough patch she self-medicates instead of trying to work through it on her own)
  • Focused more on her real life and her relationships with the people in it
  • Set goals for herself and tried to accomplish them
  • Ditched her band of enablers and made real friends instead
  • Went to therapy
  • Treated people with respect and kindness so she's liked instead of loathed
I actually do want Vade to do these things, because (and I know this opinion might be controversial on this forum), I'd rather have another healthy, well-adjusted human being who contributes to society than another subpar lolcow. But, like so many lolcows and SJWs, she's content to fester where she is because that's easier than improving herself.
