I just realized something. Everybody is talking about SSRIs and school shootings and I just remembered the fact that pretty much every big shooter since (and including) the columbine shooters were notoriously on SSRIs. Not just that but mumkey has been alluding to a "finale" of sorts.

I will not rag on american vs. european doctors but the threshold to get a prescription of even harder ssri's instead of regular psychoanalysis therapy is way lower in the US, leading to cases where just mild mood swings get hit with a bazooka of hormone-altering medication. Combine that with many patients reporting symptoms incorrectly and you get an army of people that are drugged up on a product that isn't even supposed to be for them and their pathology.

If you wanna go deeper into it, you may wanna check the statistics for people that report depression and get on ssri's (and harder medication) right away compared to patients that opt for less invasive therapy first and medication later. The perceived severity of the symptoms skyrockets in cases where SSRI's are applied to hastily aswell as the self-harming, destructive behaviour, suicide attempts, suicides etc. . You need to keep in mind that psychiatry is a very young field in medicine. Just 40-50 years prior, psychiatrists "cured" depression via intense electro shock therapy. Applying medication that is altering brain chemistry is way harder to judge then say applying medication that alters the function of a less complex organ like the liver or the stomach. Think of it like trying to fix a broken cupboard where you have a clear manual vs. fixing a nuclear reactor with a manual that is poorly translated.

We aren't privy to mumkey's internal symptoms or his reportings to his psychiatrist/therapist but judging by his behaviour, I would bet that he hopped on too quick and now pays the price.

It's no secret that the American psychiatric field is completely owned by the pharmaceutical industry. Pills are seen as the go-to solution to every mental health issue to the point where psychotherapy is largely an afterthought at best in most cases. American psychiatry is only one or two steps removed from being a universally useless quack science that does more harm than good.

He's a piece of shit but I think you're seriously underestimating the abject sorrow someone has to face to actually do the deed. There are people that deserve that, but cheating on your girlfriend is hardly a mortal sin.

One of my buddies killed himself in 2017. Shortly before he died he told all of us he was moving somewhere with no internet or phone service. Sure as shit he shacked up in a cabin in the mountains on his parents' property. That was on April 1. On April 7 he blew his brains out in the living room. That's 6 days of total isolation and the most intense sadness one could experience. I can't personally imagine that, and I can't in good conscience say anyone but the most hardcore kiddie diddlers or murderers deserves that fate.

Nah to blaspheme the holy spirit means to assert that its works are of Satan/Dark forces instead of from God and you have to say it knowing otherwise.
