Bit off topic, but I want to go on record as having called it:
Vade WILL return to us, likely in the near future.
We've all known someone like her at one point. They crave attention with the gusto all addicts do. Of late, we've watched her rage over being ignored and fish for asspats with ever greater desperation. I've noticed that lolcows who come here tend to be the most isolated from human contact, and do so as a last resort. They seek somewhere, anywhere, where it's all about them again. They crave being the center of attention, and if we are the only community left to them, they adopt a sort of "any port in a storm" mentality. Here, Vade would receive the attention she so hungers for. It wouldn't be kind, but it would be attention. I'd be surprised if she doesn't make another run at it, just so she can justify her victim complex in the face of cruel reality a little longer.
All baseless speculation, of course, but her growing desperation makes it quite plausible.

Like I said earlier in the thread: Vade wants to be those things, or at least be seen as those things by others. Vade is confusing who they want to be with who they actually are, because Vade is incapable of introspection.

Also I have never once seen Vade express any real romantic interest in a lady.

Honestly there is nothing wrong with having a headcanon. I have various lil TF2 headcanons and such but it's not like I pretend it's canon. They're just there for my own enjoyment and I'm under no illusion that suddenly a character is gay or trans because I say so. The most I have had to deal with is some salty nerds who got pissy that I said their fav merc sucked cock and even then it was just a matter of ignore and move on.

Also I never understood the justification of nounself pronouns that Tumblrkin pull. Species ain't a gender and pronouns refer to genders. At least with English we do have proper neutral ones as well as some invented ones that aren't goofy as shit (Spivak pronouns come to mind). I mean what would they care, they bastardized what it means to be otherkin and/or therian (which traditionally is identifying as something on a spiritual or psychological level - usually with only one or two identifiers), making something benign and generally chill into the Tumblr Oppression Points pissing contest. "I identify with (which is a totally normal thing like literally anyone can identify with characters) these 30 fictional characters and think cats are cute also stars are pretty so I am a starkin, catkin, and [insert 30 anime characters here]-kin." What a joke.

It pisses me off on a whole other level because I'm a therian and massively laid back about it. Like most other therians I know it's just A Thing we experience but don't force our whole lives to revolve around. At the end of the day we're still just humans in human society who need to behave as such. If you try to claim you are actually, LITERALLY your theriotype or kintype you will get laughed right out. Same generally goes for people who make outright ludicrous claims of like being a god or something. Skepticism is generally encouraged, making one reflect on how and why they feel they way they do. Oftentimes it weeds out people who are just grabbing the wrong label just to sound cool. Plus if you ever try to pass off violence and bad behaviour off as ~*~being tru to ur kinself~*~ you'll get shut down and told to see a shrink because that is still never acceptable. Obviously, Tumblr doesn't adhere to this.

I generally don't talk about it not because I am afraid of getting made fun of or w/e, but because I don't want to get lumped in with these Tumblr loonies. The larger therian/otherkin community generally hates what Tumblr is currently doing for/to us as they are currently being given the most visibility, but unfortunately as with anything else these people do there is no arguing with them unless you want to get painted as a villain.

I don't really see anything wrong with calling animals 'it' I don't think of them as objects and I don't abuse my own pet, but I figure that they don't really care what you call them as long as you feed them and treat them nicely. If someone tells you the gender of that animal then it's different but if it's just like a bird or something it's like who cares?

I get your point, yet I always use they if sex is unknown. And I mainly use the Dutch equivalent of 'im/'is 'er/'ers. We don't really use it to refer to pets or other animals, because they're breathing, living creatures.

"Did you feed it?" Sounds a lot like the animal is some sort of hell bred monstrosity you keep in the basement, because otherwise it will maul our neighbour for the second time this week.

Her only stand-out characteristics are being stupid and hateful, and if it wasn't for those two things she'd be indistinguishable from the wallpaper. I imagine the answers to Vade's favorite music/book/movie would be dull, but for somebody who is so wrapped up entertainment (anime, vidya, Walking Dead), I'm just kind of surprised that in describing every fucking breakdown they have like clockwork, those subjects are never brought up. Like, seeing Vade at Maro's house with his movie posters kind of shocked me. Vade never talks about movies. Ever.

IDK, I kind of wear my passions on my sleeve and it amazes me that somebody who wanted to be a big dick fandom person has like, no interesting stories or anecdotes or experiences. I tend to spend most of my time alone at home but shit, even I have stories. I've gone to shows, I've been to conventions, I've been to friggin' pride events. All Vade seems to do is sit at home, smoke weed with Maro, complain on the internet, go to work, and that's it.

No talk about going to conventions. The only event we know of that Vade was invited to, Vade turned it down because it was a drag show and they're acephobic or some bullshit. Maro seems to be their only friend IRL.

It's true that some of the things we've done with selective breeding are pretty awful. Pure bred dogs suffer from a high incidence of inbreeding, for example, and that goes beyond the health problems associated with their bone and muscle structure. Specialty breeders are basically creating dogs they know will be unhealthy because they'll make a lot of money. It's not really animal cruelty, but it's ethically questionable to say the least.

This is an issue that deserves to be talked about more, I think. But you can't just vilify dog owners for their choice in pets. As long as they're aware of any health issues their animals might have and are prepared to take good care of them it shouldn't be any of your business.
