Open your goddamn eyes to the truth that you’ve treated this like a game to stroke your own sense of virtue, and in doing so have neglected the material facts of the issues whenever it suited your interests, and not the best interests of everyone involved.

If you can’t look at the blatant lies in Rial and Toye’s filing and not see the evidence stacking up that this whole ordeal is bullshit top to bottom, then you need to seriously reevaluate your approach to this case.

It’s been predicted that this would be the case for at least a year and a half. Basically it’s a cross of the #MeToo train with no brakes and SJWs creeping into nerd shit, something people predicted would not only happen to anime, but be the next giant front. Also, it’s been said that Vic was just one name on a “broken staircase” hitlist that would lead to an industry wide purge. IIRC, Vic was only targeted because some Hazukari guy was on the list and he was chummy with ANN. The only reason we’re where we are is because Nick heard about Vic’s situation and signal boosted it and directed Vic to Ty’s law firm. (Also, wasn’t it said that Vic was already looking to sue for defamation? Because if that’s true, maybe this thread would be here still, but probably quieter).

Exactly. I believe Ty's strategy is to go for joint and several liabilty so that they can plunder Funimation for the full amount of any judgement they win.

Nice. That's within my personally acceptable travel distance for an event like that. I've been to other cons and they were interesting enough. Saw celebrities but never met any. Henry Winkler touched my arm as he excused himself while walking by. Thinking about accusing him of rape now...though he might be a Chad like Vic and refuse to roll over.

Anyways Vic is one of the very few people I would want to stand in line for. Most anyone else I'd be cool with just looking at and thinking "neat, I just saw C-3P0 and that bitch Shannon Doherty." But Vic deserves the support, and he seems like a genuine person.

I continue to defy this belief. Will he go back to Funimation? Almost certainly not. Funimation would need to be seriously shaken up to drop out all the cockroaches to let him back in. Will he voice Broly again? Likewise, he'd need Toei to intervene either by putting their foot down over who gets to voice big boy or who gets Dragonball. Will he be radioactive to other dubbing companies and conventions? Honestly, I don't think so.

In fact, I think even RT has a chance of taking him back - idiots like Shannon and Luna or no - so long as it can be proven that Monica is a liar. While it's hard to prove a negative, in this case, I actually suspect there's conclusive proof that Monica is lying. Assuming this case can survive TCPA and any settlement deal requires the reveal/admission of any secrets that BHBH needs, civil conspiracy and lies will be revealed and proven. Remember that before this fujoshi still said this garbage all the time. This was a known thing already that no one believed. The only reason this time is different is because Funimation and the voice actors involved provided a veneer of believability to it, so these people believed them.

No matter what Lemoine, John and Sam say, the current defendants are the crux of the damage done to Vic. While, yes, there will always be some people who believe because they're fanatics, I think this is a case where the negative can actually be proven. Disarm them, and most of the damage can actually be mitigated.
