Don't try to pretend you and only a handful of people will manage to revolutionize an industry, and don't pretend things will be completely different in that you won't commit the same mistakes others did. Just take things one step at a time. Be patient and sincere.

I dunno... Historically there were plenty of examples of a small, well organized minority taking the reins and changing the world. There were only a few thousand Bolsheviks when Russia was sliding towards Revolution. Even in 1917 they were a tiny minority.

I doubt that the woke brigades and “SJWs” (for lack of a better word) are much more numerous than GG, but they’re extremely loud and have an outsized influence.

And the fact that a well organized minority can have a huge influence is only going to be more important as the traditional media and journalism are disappearing.

Or heck, you want a better example than the Russian revolution? Look at Kosher products. Even the salt you buy is officially kosher salt.

It requires a stoic, borderline seige mentatility. You have to starve these companies until their systems begin to rot and begin failing. Employees will notice small changes such as lapses in maintenance and perks going away. The best, most aware people will jump ship.

Of course, I would argue that the people that jump ship need another ship to go to. So rather than do crowdfunding, the comicsgate, (all -gates actually) should pool their resources, put their egos aside and create a company. Get some savvy business types that care only about numbers, not Twitter.

I know it sounds like I'm one of "those" people, but a couple of guys with the romantic idea that they could tear down the machine just isn't going to happen. These corporations are entrenched and could hold out for a lot longer than any independent.

So you need build something that can go against that and the numbers behind it. (Corporations allowing for specialization which gets better results.)

Unfortunately I think the image of the "white knight slaying the monster by himself" is too ingrained in the American pysche for people to understand they need an army.

As others mentioned the party was already on its way out, but Sargon became the public face of the unraveling and gave many of the people still remaining a convenient excuse for bailing out that would be difficult for anyone to really call them on later. Sargon isn't as important as he thinks he is either.

He should really run for some kid of local council position though. I think him spending all day listening to old cat ladies complain about people feeding squirrels and listening to reports on potholes in the neighborhood would be befitting a man of his stature.
