Eh I don’t blame Favreau for Lion King he was basically dealt a bad handI’m starting to worry a little about The Mandalorian based on the reception of shitty The Lion King remake since the director is involved with it.

Their entire company is a big black sheep. Covered in shit and left to have its wool choke it to death because their toxic corporate culture and lacking leaders are coming home to roost to some degree.Ah the irony of Disney viewing Power Rangers as the black sheep of their brands and now Star Wars is becoming the new black sheep of their brands.![]()
In a perfect world, Lucasfilm would still be fine independently without Lucas. But that’s not a reality sadly.Their entire company is a big black sheep. Now if only the Chinamen and middle-aged moms stopped encouraging shit reboots, since at least rereleasing the animated stuff like they used to do was something they could do for free.
Last Jedi and [Ranger Solo] both sank without a trace in the All-Under-Heaven. If Disney was ballsier, they'd go full Tumblr on Episode 9 to try and maximize their American/Euro/Rest of the gay cucked world box office and give up on China as a bad job w/r/t Star Wars.I got a feeling the movie is going to bomb hard in China. I also thought the same about Justice League and look how that turned out.
That'd actually kill their western sales even harder because those shitbirds don't consume legally usually. It also just turns off your actual market.Last Jedi and [Ranger Solo] both sank without a trace in the All-Under-Heaven. Disney doesn't do ballsy. And as Adamska pointed out, the SJW market is very vocal in supporting someone's politics and decisions, as long as it only costs them the effort of making a Tweet or whining on Facebook.Last Jedi and [Ranger Solo] both sank without a trace in the All-Under-Heaven. i honestly misread that as steaming bundleSo Disney just announced that their streaming bundle will cost $13.
Still doesn’t help that the streaming market is about to get rammed hard soon.

Can anybody explain to me what the appeal of Woody Allen ever was to begin with?
Maybe I'm just not smart enough, but his movies never appealed to me.

They are remarkably shitty when it comes to actually buy things and support them via payments.
The biggest market has always been the Normie market, but it's not the most vocal.
As much as I want to do that, it's difficult considering it was one of my all-time favorite shit as a kid. I was able to watch the 2016 Ghostbusters with a sense of empathy (because it wasn't that big outside of English-speaking countries), but these shit SW projects continue to damage the love I have for the franchise.Give up hope for Star Wars to become good under Disney.
Advantage 1) You will be able to enjoy the fires burning down the franchise much more carelessly.
Advantage 2) If hell freezes over and Disney actually somehow, against all odds, makes something that's not a repulsive pile of shit, you can be pleasantly surprised.
I think it's a really wild mix. To some degree, you have people within their Echo chamber that tell each other movies are successfull or failures due to politics (I don't doubt there's people in Hollywood that genuinely believe that Ghostbustettes failed due to the Plebeian crowd of movie goers being too bigoted to watch it). And then you have people who just go along with it cause they know everyone around them is invested in this crap and if they aren't they might lose their job.So... what IS this then? The whole #woke thing, I mean? If the people whining about it aren't profitable, and the people pushing it- despite decades of marinating in "muh diversity 'n' inclusion" propaganda- don't actually believe it's profitable at the end of the day, why are things the way they are? Some form of the principal-agent problem, where Disney execs are scoring woke points using other people's money, but aren't so interested in running up the score that they'll do anything to jeopardize their bonuses? Or maybe the Abilene paradox, where nobody believes but everyone thinks everyone else is a true believer and they need to stay in line despite it not actually being good for anything?
I'll be honest, letting go of Star Wars is not pleasant. To admit that the franchise has become toxic is unpleasant. As much as I want to do that, it's difficult considering it was one of my all-time favorite shit as a kid. I was able to watch the 2016 Ghostbusters with a sense of empathy (because it wasn't that big outside of English-speaking countries), but these shit SW projects continue to damage the love I have for the franchise.
companies hand off things to woke people who don't care about making moneyThe short answer is: I have no fucking clue why a company would still pander a market that evidently doesn't exist and I can only blame it on a strong ideology.
Even pissing off the woke market isn't that bad, still Disney and the likes are mortally afraid of doing that.
I don't think it's the company as much as a lot of the cogs in the company are ideologues. It's well understood that media is infested with people who consider themselves "woke". And they're actively trying to inject as much of their personal politics as possible into new projects. The suits on top don't care as long as shit makes money in the end, and even if they start firing people who're trying to infest old franchises they'll simply be replaced by more woke fags being spit out of liberal arts colleges.So... what IS this then? The whole #woke thing, I mean? If the people whining about it aren't profitable, and the people pushing it- despite decades of marinating in "muh diversity 'n' inclusion" propaganda- don't actually believe it's profitable at the end of the day, why are things the way they are?
