I've seen how people like DSP use mental gymnastics. In his mind, the Emerald Seven money and his own bank account are two separate pools of money. If he takes that emerald seven money, and puts that "straight towards the bills/taxes", and that just SO HAPPENS to free up the money already in his bank account to move Kat in, then he did spend all E7's money on taxes and the people calling him out for using it for Kat are liars because he used DIFFERENT money to move Kat in.
I remember a separate but similar scammer called Eric Hites (Fat Guy Across America) who went on Dr. Phil to confront all the haters, and when Dr. Phil called him out on spending too much time with his "ailing mother" in Florida when he had raised funds for his bike trip, Eric literally said "well, it wasn't with that money". Keep in mind, Eric had been unemployed for years because according to him he was too fat to be hired for a job, yet somehow he was spending a completely different pool of money than the go-fund me donations to spend time in Florida.
That's how a guy like DSP gets away with these mental gymnastics: the tips probably do go "straight 2 da bills", and that just so happens to free up different money for him to spend so therefore he's not lying. He doesn't choose to understand that the complaints are that they are all one pool of money that he has.
