Probably because it was his horrible decisions that created those consequences
I wasn't questioning if he's responsible for the consequences of his exceptional behavior. Obviously he is. What I was questioning was the implied assertion that he deserves to lose even more, because to me it seems like his rētardation:retribution ratio has been damn near 1:1.
  1. He cheated on his girlfriend with a degenerate furry, and he ended up losing both relationships.
  2. He turned his back on friends who tried to give him the tough love he needed, so they turned their backs on him.
  3. He bit the hands of the fans who feed him, and so the majority of his fans stopped feeding him.
  4. He engaged in some of the cringiest public chimpouts of 2019, so people started treating him like a chimpanzee in a zoo.
He's practically the poster boy for instant karma, hence why I was curious what other consequences people had in mind.
Edit: Furthermore, why would people be eager to support someone who essentially told everyone to fuck off if they didn't accept his mistakes, and STILL tries to stir shit and act like an edge lord? His patreon is on a downslide for a reason. I'll give you a hint: people don't want to support someone who treats them like they don't matter.
I never said anyone should support him, so I'm not really sure who you're arguing with here. I totally get why people don't want to support Tyler anymore. I'm one of those people. I was just curious why some people seem so bitter about it because that's not how I feel at all. For me it's just another Spoony situation: he started spending more time chimping out and less time on making the shit I was paying for, so I'm not paying him anymore.
The way he treated his fans is abysmal. Calling them fourteen year olds and saying that they thought giving him $2 a month meant having a say in his life when his fans were only trying to help him was a bad business decision and also scummy.

He never apologized for that. He basically said, "to everyone that didn't stick by me fuck you now I know who I can't count on". As far as I'm concerned he hasn't taken responsibility but skirted around it.
Yeah, he was definitely shitty to his fans. The consequence he faced for it was losing a shitload of those fans and having his income plummet to just above minimum wage. He should still apologize, but it's not like he's getting off scot-free either way.

He was so uneducated on cat ownership he legitimately thought that getting Blaze fixed would be bad for him because, like buying the trailer and everything else, Blaze was a spur of the moment decision.
Granted, the kid has serious character flaws: he's immature, he's impulsive, he's and a total mong when it comes to pet ownership. Those first two issues are what led to this entire shitstorm, so I'd say he's definitely faced the consequences for those. Flaws like that are basically self-punishing anyway: they'll continue to cause Tyler a lot of trouble he could otherwise avoid until he finally gets his shit together.

As for his bad pussy handling, like you said it's really just another case of him being impulsive. I've got no respect for people mistreating their pets, and he deserves to have his cat taken away if he can't take care of it, but I don't see why he deserves to lose his income/career over that. The two are completely unrelated. It wouldn't even teach him a lesson.

As for the consequences I think he deserves:
Getting a real job, for one. Actually having to punch a timeclock--fast food, retail, officework, whatever--and answer to a boss in the real world.
He needs to be knocked down a few more pegs to learn to appreciate his patronbux and the position he was in. He's been sheltered from the real world for too long and that sense of entitlement needs to go.
Yeah, I can understand that, especially if you're busting your ass at a rough job. Hearing a professional manchild gloat about his tardbuxpatreonbux would send my blood pressure through the roof if I didn't like my job. I may not be on board with all of your individual reasons, but I respect where you're coming from overall. I definitely agree that spending a few years in the big boy world would do wonders for Tyler's character. Thanks for the explanation my dude.

I don't want to see him crash and burn, I want to see him cop to his mistakes and do better, go back to a semblance of what he used to be.
. . . .
So it isn't that I want to see him fail completely, I want to see him get better - but I don't think he will and I don't he deserves to get back what he had or even keep what he has. Maybe with time he will.
Eyy, same here fam. I don't think he has the wisdom and maturity to turn things around, but I'd like to see him prove me wrong. IMO what he really needs is some therapy (not just SSRIs) to fix his fucked up sense of self-esteem. His crippling addiction to asspats is what's making him obsess over "da haydurrs" instead of just copping to his mistakes and moving forward.

Niggers update

I was wondering what everyone was complaining about regarding this video since I happen to like EmpLemon. I can't even watch this video in more than short bursts because it drives me fucking insane. I feel like I'm in an orientation meeting, watching a training video, or something from minute to minute. I don't mind the idea of being empathetic to someone who is losing their fucking mind, but this is just so fucking antiseptic and miserable to listen to.

Edit: I'm gonna add to to this and say EmpLemon really comes off like he's fifty years older than he actually is. Like dude, have you ever fucking used the internet before? Especially that part where he complains that people overthink things and talk way too much every time they make a video. That has to be the single most out of touch thing I have heard in a very long time from just about anyone. The internet was literally created by weirdos who spent so much time thinking about numbers that they actually managed to invent a new method of communication. How the hell can you possibly be surprised when they do the same shit to your work?

This is unbelieveable. Mumkey is such a fuckup he's managed to make everyone else around him lose all sense of perspective as well.

If I remember right the episode EmpLemon is annoyed about fan feedback on was the ProJared/James Charles/Boogie
He also explicitly mentioned the Reddit episodes during his spergout, thus exposing his whole "we're not making serious arguments" excuse as a crock of shit. Motherfucker showed up with an entire list of arguments for those episodes, and he got blown the fuck out so hard that he's still assblasted about it. Makes sense considering that most of his arguments against Reddit were "downvotes hurt my feefees."
maybe he'll be the next lolcow from this particular group.
God I hope so. He's so obsessed with what people think of him that his thread would be drowning in milk. I like his videos alright, but he'd produce way more entertainment as a cow.
The TL;DR for this?
Rusty talked to Mumkey and said he seemed interested in rejoining the podcast. Emp is autistically preoccupied with forcing Mumkey to address the drama on SotY. Rusty considers Mumkey a friend and thinks it'd be a dick move to make him do that, accurately points out that Mumkey has already addressed it on his own channel. Emp remains dubious about Mumkey returning as a regular contributor, says he may just be an occasional guest. Emp goes on an extended tirade about negative comments, mentions that he was primarily motivated to make this episode because of the asspats he got at VidCon. Rusty suggests that Emp takes internet criticism too seriously, Emp insists that he doesn't in a lengthy spergout that demonstrates he actually does. Podcast closes with Rusty reiterating his human hope that his friend will come back and Emp rerunning his robotic subroutine about Mumkey having to air his dirty laundry on the podcast.

The TL;DR for this?

EmpLemon spends most of the time getting angry at a strawman, Rusty Cage attempts to say something every once in a while, and nobody is kicking Mumkey off/maybe we'll get a new host/we won't do the podcast any more/Mumkey is always welcome back as a guest.

Other interesting things I noticed: Mumkey will respond to Rusty straight away but not to EmpLemon. They recorded this on 28th July but it took until now to release it. Apparently at VidCon they were both told a lot of insiders enjoy it... which could be true, or it could be dick-sucking that ends up saving the podcast because EmpLemon sounded like he was ready to bin it completely.

God bless Rusty Cage, trying so hard to lighten things up at the end. Assburger prisoner = foreshadowing. Mumkey baby = foreshadowing. Rusty Cage minion?

EDIT: Spedestrian, post above, gives a better breakdown.

The notion of Emp being still too butthurt over the Reddit episode to do anything other than whinge about that is funny in theory, but in practice it gets stale after the first 10 monutes.

TL;DW: Emp gets mad at youtube comments, Rusty offers thoughtful counterpoint, Emp rages about what the show is "supposed" to be, rinse, repeat, yawn, rope.

I feel like at some level Rusty is there just to give us someone to actually like without any caveats.

Haha i forgot about that Reddit debate. EmpLemon is a good creator but he is one of those people who does better with a script and editing, plus as the latest podcast shows, prefers to have nobody interrupt him as he speaks out his thoughts.

If they do continue the podcast, they need that third voice. Emp steamrolls over everybody even when he has nothing to say and others are dying to have their turn. As for Rusty, he is a nice guy and a good content creator but he doesn't add that much to the podcast - Mumkey once said that of the three SoTY hosts none of the guests are fans of the one with over a million subscribers.

Emp and Mumkey come off like that their online personas are just an extension of them, hence dicks, Rusty is usually just a genuinely nice person.
I think ending up in juvie and under house arrest as a teenager due to the stolen slushy machine saga gave Rusty a much more mature outlook on e-drama than the other two. He's been through some actual semi-harrowing shit, and he genuinely doesn't seem to care nearly as much what random strangers online think of him. Ironically this makes him much more likable, whereas whenever the other two try deal with drama, they come off like this:

Not gonna lie, I enjoyed Mumkey's overacting in this. Shame he'll unlikely do another collab with Internet Historian or anyone else for a while, if ever.
Wait
The character mumkey plays tries to interact with someone called “liu” and gets annihilated
Holy shit every single prophecy about him comes true

I don't know much about Emp or Rusty but they come across in that podcast as much better people than Tyler deserves to associate with.
The fact that they're so hesitant to cut him from the show says that they care enough about him not to hurt him further.
After Liu's video, if--IF--the receipts are as damaging as we're anticipating I expect those reveals to be the final straw.

Tyler is getting offended over the idea that Liu is the one that left him. Once again.

I might believe this coming from someone else but not from Tyler and definitely not from his current situation. There's no way she didn't break up with him. He's trying to protect his ego by pretending to have done the noble thing and broke up with her for her own good and happiness. I hope in whatever video she puts out she sets the record straight and proves she dumped him. Even if she does Tyler will call her a liar swear its not true. I'm starting to think he was that kid in school that told the most outrageous lies that no one believed and got mad when anyone said he was lying.

There's no way she didn't break up with him.

I wouldn't be able to find it right about now, but someone posted in this thread Liu's admission that he indeed broke up with her. Even her own posts pertinent to the situation would be incongruous to the idea that she broke up with him, and given how stunted she is, it's inherently unlikely that the breakup occurred in that way.

Someone's brought this up before: the anticipation for a video that seeks to relay a side of the drama, made by a known vindictive, idiotic manipulator who's groomed children is rather baffling.

There's no way she didn't break up with him.
Yeah man, this histrionic pedophile DEFINITELY distanced herself from the spotlight of her own volition, that's why she's trying desperately to claw back to it.
At this point I'm pretty sure people are convinced she broke up with him because "well Tyler is pathetic and it's not pathetic for him to dump this garbage in the trash" / "it would be out of character for him to make a good decision"
And while I'm not disagreeing with either of those things, it still doesn't make it true instead of verifiably false.
Like I said, the dude pretty clearly had a moment of clarity where he noticed he's putting his dick in a living dumpster. Once the rose tinted glasses fall off you can't just put them back on. Shit, I'll make a real money bet with you on this if you want, I'm that confident I'm correct.
