What have you recently eaten?

ended up running way behind last night, figured I'd burn through the remainder of that buffet gift card, ran by there while finishing errands in the evening, turns out if you get there near close take out is half-off!
got a giant pile of cheap teriyaki beef

As I only have a few days left of my vacation in France, my family and I went to a regional restaurant which I only get to visit it once or twice a year. I had duck breast and aligot for the main course and crème brûlé with blue berries for dessert.

I cooked a fry up tonight, which was delicious. Sausages, bacon, fried eggs, tomatoes, fried bread & 2 pieces of bread & butter. All bought fresh today from a local farm shop, everything fried in lard. Am now washing it all down with a large mug of sugary tea accompanied by a hand rolled cigarette. A proper Chav banquet.

Thats doesnt sound so regional, more like a generic french restaurant.

I also had french food today. a nice Flammkuchen made with love and bacon...

Hardly, even French restaurants in France don't really serve Aubrac cuisine outside of the Massif Central.

Flammkuchen is great

Used the last of my kimchi test batch and the start of a new sourdough loaf to make some spicy grilled cheese sandwiches served with smoked beetroot chutney

I am officially hooked on kimchi now and I will be probably making it every week for the rest of my nigger life

Had a slice from my blackberry and marionberry cheesecake I made earlier.

Wendy's, got some of the spicy nuggets, holy shit they're a lot spicier than I remember. Not great and way overpriced.
Also their "double bacon jalapeno cheeseburger", double patty, bacon, those sliced jarred hot jalapenos, fried onion straws, cheese sludge. Really good stuff and one of the first times in a long while I've felt I got my money's worth for the Wendys prices for burgers.

Made a Chilli with my kids. They're both pretty young and are just getting used to the idea of spicy food but it was pretty nice all the same despite being mild. I found some beetroot tortilla chips in Aldi and they were amazing with it.

I'm currently eating some leftover chili myself. Had to add a hot sauce since it's been in there for a while and tends to be mild. Nothing serious, just some chipotle pepper sauce, but it adds a slight flavor that it'd lack otherwise.

Local fast food chain had free bratwurst today for bratwurst day.
Very good, had swiss.or some other white cheese, kraut, and I think some sort of mustard.
Not quite five bucks worth but a lot closer than I expected it to get.

Canned sardines in chili tomato sauce. One of the best foods i've ever purchased from the dollar store.

Test ran my new sandwich, the Ed Gein with Extra Protein and honestly it was freaking delicious in a way only shit from a good fast food joint should be, and since I baked the chicken and only used one slice of bread among other caloric cut-corners it was not a calorific catastrophe like half the other breakfast sandwiches I have tried in the past. An absolutely perfect way to start a day with a protein boost to get me through hours of furiously masturbating over anime pony futaloli porn doing badass weight lifting and barn building and beard trimming

Lasagna, using Neopolitan ragù with the meat broken up to homogenise the texture. Not sure if I prefer it to Bolognese ragù but it works. First time I have made it with pecorino (in a white sauce) and mozzarella instead of bastardising it with a cheddar sauce and it does taste lighter. Not sure if I could bring myself to use ricotta though, but that may be more Italian-American anyway.
