Phil isn't short on money.
Phil is short on spending money, which he also admited before on stream. I'm not going to look for it because I'm not that bored, but Tevin re-streamed it.

Phil has enough money to pay his bills, he lacks money to throw around and feel like a, and to quote, big baller shot caller. He asks for games and codes because he knows utter exceptional individuals like Jeffrey, Rob and his band of wheelchair symbols will get them for him and he does not have to waste money.
Yeah, it's pretty obvious he wants to blow a load of money on some stupid shit or so he can run away for a while to pretend he's a big boy and not a miserable manchild.

I've been watching Tevin for a few years, now, and the whole talking over Phil thing is something I've only really noticed this past month or two. But honestly, after restreaming the pig for years, I can't blame him.

I like Tevin himself, but yeah, the TTS is unbearable. The first Mario 64/Cat reveal stream is probably the worst I have ever fucking seen. Like, 10 messages in a row when Phil was on the first stage alone. Sometimes Tevin is merciful and stops the emoji spam messages early, but sometimes he just let's them play. And fuck his chat with the constant CAWs.

At this point, I only tune in if he's doing a special video, like a Goin' Back in Time.

Wish he would lay off the obnoxiously long tip notifications (the Fetty Wap 1738 thing), and some of his sound clips are like nails on a chalkboard (the Kekon “nooooooooawwWWWWWWWWWW!”). He always plays the Sonic R soundtrack with that relentless dance beat, not to mention the terrible mumble rap. Sometimes it’s amusing but sometimes I can’t tell if he plays it ironically or if he really enjoys some of it. He also seems to dislike almost everything, kinda like DSP himself. He has this strange aversion to movies. Anytime they are brought up he comments on how he doesn’t like movies and never watches them.

However, I think his commentary has actually improved over the last year or so. If you look at his earlier stuff, he’d basically just repeat the dumb shit DSP would say over and over. He actually keeps the commentary going for the most part now.

If he would back off on the obnoxious sound clips and tip notifications I really wouldn’t have any problems with his streams.

I also like Tevin, but since around the time he lost his job the restreams have been pretty shit and he generally seems like he doesn't give a shit anymore for the most part unless very exceptional shit happens.

I think it has to do with the nature of Phil. Phil is one of my favorite cows to follow, but he's also one of the more repetitive cows. If you follow Phil too closely and spend hours watching his stream, the repetition becomes too much and then even when something noteworthy happens in the goutsphere, talking about the boring monotony kills your energy to really dive into it. Phil hosts enough "event" style streams now like the debunking/Jasper reveal/marathon streams where you could really just focus on those and then during the dead air talk about the usual Phil things that would normally feel super repetitive if you've been covering all the other previous streams. Basically, Phil is best over smaller doses. You start to forget how stupid he is then stumble back into the thread/restream/whatever for a reminder. Trying to provide constant commentary on Phil is just lackluster because at his core, Phil is such a boring person. That's why even here a lot of the conversation tends to devolve into speculation or talking about his crazed fans versus actively commenting on what he's doing on the stream unless it is particularly exceptional.

Not only that, but he's admitted that he "can't afford to save money for taxes". So what the hell is going to happen in April? What preparations is he making for his federal taxes (besides he'll just beg more)?
This is the biggest question surrounding Phil's finances; whatever new, mysterious "bills" (i.e. Kat's birthday) he's begging his fans to pay for in the short-term are irrelevant compared to his tax situation. We don't know the specifics of Phil's tax payment plan (or do we?), but I'm going to assume Phil took a long-term option that stretches it out for as long as possible. If he's still paying off his 2018 taxes by the time the 2019 taxes are due next April, I could be wrong but I don't think he can just create another plan or add to the one he already has. He'd have to pay the full amount, and he's on track to earn just as much this year as last year (~$120,000), so where the fuck is all that money gonna come from? Phil never plans accordingly when it comes to his taxes and prays his tard fans or tard parents will bail him out again. Granted, I have very little doubt that he'll find a way because of his pigroach luck and the autism train has no brakes, but we'll see what happens.

The appropriate response to any mention by DSP regarding taxes is that there is no tax situation.

He's never provided any real evidence of owing anything and taxes are a thing everyone has to pay and so it will always be something he can fall back on when he wants to beg. The only way he'll ever stop is if people stop accepting his unsubstantiated premise.

How do you think DSP will frame the recent Projared video where he makes a thoughtful (some might say successful) DEBUNK video concerning his controversy? You just know that his 'fans' are going to ask him about it and he's not going to resist talking someone else's drama again.

Phil, in his own debunk video and on twitter, invoked a court of law in which accused parties are innocent until proven guilty, and that it's on the accuser to provide evidence.
Will Piggy stand by his epic tweets about the guy when it might be all bullshit?

At the very least, at face value, the difference in effort between Phil's and Projared's 'debunk' videos is vast.

Edit:

And an old Tweet by Phil which will age badly: https://i.redd.it/e6vcuxdfqux21.jpg

You can tell recently tervin is just tired of darks shenanigans, he used to stop talking or turn off his tip notifications when dark was on a rant that might produce something, but lately he just doesn’t give a Fuck and keeps talking

Which I guess is his prerogative, I never got the impression he was doing the restreams for the detractor community or something, it seemed more like a way to keep himself entertained and make some easy money on the side, but he’s clearly gotten very annoyed with dark spewing the same shit lately lol

I think any sane person would eventually get exhausted of Phil's scams, lies and ignorance when excessively exposed to it for an extended period of time.

Found the clip I was on about, it's from 2018 but nevertheless shows his character. He has never in his life been broke, or had to actually worry about money.

Little bit of money to Phil is a couple thousand. Just keep that in mind.

April is his bday and in past his parents have given him cash as a gift. Same thing will probably happen next year.

It really says it all. How does he have a couple extra thousand but still get overdrawn?
Others have postulated (and I agree) that Phil either has two separate definitions for what money is to him, or just two physically separate accounts for his income. One we'll call "Responsible Spending", the other, "Fun Munny".

Responsible Spending may get low as he pays Basic Bill every month but never runs dry. Phil takes care of his obligations sufficiently to keep the Man from hauling off the rest of his Blu-Ray collection, or as much as one could expect from Autistic JD Salinger.

Fun Munny runs dry almost the second it's topped off, because Phil (and possibly his mare) have the impulse control of five year olds. Weekly, day-long "errands" to the mall, grocery store, and wherever-the-fuck-else they go do not help these matters. When Phil is talking about being overdrawn, this is the account he's talking about, likely because he and Kat go out and tap it every week and then forget they have a $2.69 balance when they go to order delivery pizza that night. Phil's bank meanwhile gets another chuckle at his idiotic expense as they slap him with another $35 overdraft fee and cover his childish spending.
