Funimation Audio Leaks - Sacred Ointment memes for degenerate teens

Seriously its just people blowing off steam telling silly private jokes. Anyone else remember when the exact same thing with an audio leak file happened to the cartoon ThunderCats and everyone just fucking giggled and made super early Newgrounds flash videos of the thing?

Dragon Ball is a multi-billion dollar worldwide intellectual property.

And the entire online anime world is right now filled with that multi-billion dollar franchise owner's very own licensee spewing homophobic and racist content with their intellectual property.

Any one delusional enough to spout crap about LOL, what's the big deal? is going to be in as much as a shock as some idiot sitting on someone's multi-million dollar Bugatti Veyron in a parking lot thinking the owner won't mind.

Since Nick is likely going to the hearing, he'll probably be sitting in the courthouse with Funimation's lawyers. I wonder what choice words, if any, they'll have for him. I would love to see pictures of the glares he'll be given.

I believe they are outside council. They would probably be like "Ah, that's the guy that had everyone at Funimation screaming last week."

It's on IGN (Archive)

Article is pretty info related and not biased. They tried to contact funi and got the typical "no comment."

How exceptional would be to believe in conspiracy now? Considering the mole’s rumor about Vic having his rise?

Yes this took me the whole day to consider.
To me, sounds like it boils down to a certain group of people found out Vic was getting a shiny big company role and lost their fucking minds over it, and wanted him out so THEY could have the chance at it and did anything they could to set it in motion.
But that's my uneducated guess.

Honestly it would probably have been water under the bridge if none of the Vic shit happened and these were never leaked or really thought about. (IMO The Sabot one is the only one that seems a bit more over the top and not blooper-ish, but an actual parody and we already know how Toei feels about parodies and abridges.)

Unfortunately for the Gay for Piccolo Fistcock crew, they're kinda in a controversial lawsuit right now, and a lot of eyes are watching this unfold and those eyes would defiantly include Toei, who are not going to let this just slide away, blooper reels are one thing, but not deleting the more, uhm, 'controversial ones' and even letting them leak online, faggots, cum in me gohans and all while going through a lawsuit, is a bit much for a company to not at least say something.

Ah, glorious.

Live by the clickbait, die by the clickbait.

Remember, a LOT of what KickVic has been trying to do is to trigger this very event -- getting the clickbait sites pick up their narrative to get it amplified, forever destroying Vic's reputation. Except it never worked, partially because the woke journoactivists they were counting on were laid off when Obama's propaganda money ran out.

Instead, it's working the exact opposite way, with the clickbait sites picking up on Funimations horrific and dare I say it, problematic bigoted employees.

Normally, I’d just shrug it off as voice actors having fun and mock the pearl clutching mob. What’s hilarious about this situation is how they’re reacting now that the boot is on the other foot. They’re nothing but hypocrites and that’s why this leak is lulzy.

Also for the record I don’t care about Vic, dragonball, the culture “war,” or Funimation. I just find it all hilarious.

There are multiple layers to these bombshell leaks:

1. They are hilarious to mock and show the always present hypocrisy of the pearl clutches.

2. They are a direct hit to some of the scumbags voice actors who have made it clear they want to utterly destroy Vic and will say and do anything to accomplish that goal. They now will have the rest of their careers having homophobic or racist content they created following them everywhere they go.

3. It is a massive weapon for the end game damages phase of the trial for Funimation. They are way beyond some social media person making a careless sequence of tweets.

4. Nick has hinted at Texas labor code violations being brought against Funimation. These leaks are going to go a long way to exposing the toxic culture that is selectively enforced for some employees and not others.

5. And then there is Sony who Nick has already mentioned will be cleaning house at Funimation once the legal battle is over. It is hard to imagine these leaks doing anything other than making those firing even larger.

6. And of course there is Toei having their multi-billion dollar brand tarnished by these fuckwits at Funimation. But I hear from twitter that Toei is going to be nah, it's cool with the leaks. LOL

Add to that...

6) Should Funimation somehow prevail with their TCPA motion, this is a giant, whale-sized hook for reeling them back in.

Also they tried going to the houston chronicle Dallas Morning News with their shitty article and it didn't go very far.

The typical cunts have been trying to get real celebrities to amplify all of this and they ignore them. They wish they could have pulled this off.

As they say about every conspiracy, where there is smoke there is fire.

And Toei, whose intellectual property is being used and who has a contract with Funimation explicitly forbidding them from doing exactly this.
Let's not also forget Toei also has other properties with them like One Piece, if they so wished they could lose all that, in a snap.

The most telling thing about all of this, is how adamant people are trying to cover for these people saying shit like "its not the same this was years ago." or "Just because they say these things doesnt mean they believe them." Which are ironically the exact same arguments they opposed during the Vic trial.

Thing is like with all industries, the politics will always dictate who will and will not succeed. As a VA myself (though I think at this point its better to be unknown that at the caliber these guys are at) even the smallest projects have some of the most toxic people in the world. If you even say or seem to allude that you not even think "wrong" just think differently to them they will go through ALL your back ground to find ANY excuse to throw you under the bus and essentially black list you.

And the worst part is, just like what we are seeing now? The people who do the throwing will 99.9% of the time always be as bad if not worse than what they accuse you of.

I've seen some very good people with some actual talent have their career murdered before it even took off. And this is coming from someone who is at a semi unknown level. I could only imagine how bad it gets once youre at the top. This controversy could be the tip of the damn iceberg.

Have any of the VAs involved in this actually responded yet? I checked Sabat and Sean's twitter and couldn't find anything.

For the first time since this shit storm started, it seems someone told them to shut up. Given Funimation gave IGN no comment, they're either hoping to sweep this under the rug or their PR team needs a few days to come up with a damage control plan.

Chris Rager went protected.

It better be good since Sabat and Schemmel are both attending New York Comic Con in early October.
