"The only time I like quoting Vegeta is when I'm plowing a Bulma cosplayer." Probably Chris Sabats opinion.

seems the era of cancel culture is about to reach its end bout time too. let the era of facts, logic and lols reign once more!
Nah bruh. Cancel culture will never end, unless you can cure the world of a never ending supply of spergs in all shapes, sizes, cultures, genders, all 33+ of em, and all species of sperg, it will always continue like the cycle of life, sex, drugs, sex and drugs, and death that Hollywood naturally permeates.

There's always a sperg with someones fat greasy rod so far up their rectum from trite trivial shit, no matter when, where, or what you are.

That...or the world coming to their doorstep leads to a bombardment of socjus talking points.
Cant wait for the intro to Tokyo 2020 and hearing goku say " FAG FUCKING FAG FAGGOT MY SONS A FAG!!!"
I’m more excited for the sacred ointment performance.

true but i believe it runs in cycles for both eras but with gamergate, comicsgate and weeb war I do say they'll still be about just not as vocal as they have been.

You might see the end of an era. But don't be surprised if the next era is something you underestimated, and makes you beg to be back in this era.

Every era seems to have cancel culture somewhere.

From what I’ve heard, it’s more of a pendulum, each side of the political spectrum switching roles of attacker and reactionary. I’m betting the next switch will be Right attacks, Left reacts once Trump leaves office, but that’s dependent on the right being able to control the culture long enough.

By then I suspect we'll be too busy having a world war to worry about cancelling people.

Dude, the right never left... No pun should be taken, or else yeet your house and become homeless, but yes...

The right never left the whole cancel culture for fucking video games, and probably mostly overlap with the left on sexy anime girls.

But I guess it's what Thanos wanted. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. If you hate titties, gotta be someone hating on your thing to. And the left LOVE VIOLENCE. Why do you think half the people running them probably, if given the chance, would use the dragon balls to actually ressurect Shaka fucking Zulu? Dude was as savage as these wannabes like to think they are on the inside. And they worship the strong who trample on the weak.

Not the strong. Gotta be savage and edgy to. Which is why Fused Zamasu is their spirit animal.

You're forgetting Alyssa Milano. They tried to get her involved a while back. Luckily they're not as big or relevant as they think they are to get her attention.

I mean there's nothing wrong with equality, but there comes a point in time when you really need to question whether those claims of no power still hold true in recent times when all it takes for someone to lose everything is for a woman and a group of her friends to say you did something inappropriate to them with no evidence.

But of course cue the age old excuse "the police don't investigate these crimes so it's pointless to report it". Guess what?

Guess we shouldn't report murder or aggrevated assault either in that case...

EDIT:

@theworstkindofeurofag I brought this up a few pages back. There's a moral conundrum with regards to this part, but per chuck, Vic asked for consent and didn't force himself on anyone and further he didn't offer them an ultimatum either.

Don't forget, there's glamor attached to banging someone famous. I'm pretty sure all he did was put on some charm and drop a few mentions that he was a VA or a few of his roles to sweeten the pot. Groupies do the exact same thing only they're usually the ones persuing sex, not the famous person.

At the very least, Chuck states he believes vic used his position for sex and thinks that it was shameful. A few take aways from there

1) even he isn't sure if vic actually did that

2) even if vic did that, he sandwiched 77 quite nicely between 76 and 78 that indicates that vic always asked for consent and knew no means no.

3) even if vic does do all that, it's chuck's own opinion that it's shameful. That doesn't make it fact

Chuck's account actually aligns with things Vic says about himself, like 'when 10,000 people say you're awesome, you start to think you may be awesome, and that's not a good thing'. Basically, I can see him getting it in his head at some point that, you know, a hot woman wants him to be her Tamaki for the night, sure, why not. Or a step further of just laying on that charm in his best Tamaki to get a score.

That said, I think the I believe actually means 'In my personal opinion, choosing to do that is shameful'. It's a different kind of 'I believe' than the kind from the defense's affidavits. He's not speculating that it was done, but saying in his own opinion that it was shameful that it was done.

Anyway, re:metoo the problem with that monstrous thing, what destroys people's lives like Vic, and what gets people killed like Zoe Quinn did, is that #metoo is absolutely antithetical to the way justice functions, and the opposite of what western justice systems are made to function as. Its function, allegedly, is to go for those people whom the law can't touch, so that the women who can't see justice any other way can get their justice. But why is that? What makes them untouchable? In the end, it boils down to 'innocent until proven guilty', and the doctrine that 'it's better for 100 guilty men to go free than 1 innocent man be imprisoned'.

#metoo is 'fixing' something that should not be fixed. It isn't broken. The fact that crimes go unpunished sometimes is factored into the system and seen as not just acceptable but preferable to an innocent man being punished for a crime he didn't commit. (or her) #Metoo fundamentally - and any supporter will tell you this if you get them talking about it - functions on the basis that 'it is better if we punish an innocent man by accident than allow a woman to have suffered and not get her justice'. In fact, I daresay it's the exact inverse of our current justice system. You are instantly guilty the moment of accusation and only innocent once proven, and #metoo advocates absolutely believe it would be better to ruin the lives of 100 innocent men than let 1 rapist go free.

But...it just. doesn't. work. Such a system cannot work. It's tyranny, it violates basic human rights, and it does astronomically more harm than it helps. The very existence of the movement proves that, because a woman who doesn't get justice will continue on with her life. It's unjust, it's hurtful and frustrating, but she's not going to erupt into flames and die because of it. Her family won't abandon her, her job (usually) won't fire her, she won't become an anathema to society. That's why the women who tweet out that hashtag are all conveniently still alive and still have access to the internet. Men who are accused, however, have their lives utterly destroyed. Their families turn on them often, their friends leave them, their jobs and projects are canceled, they may end up in prison or on a registry that prevents them from ever living in certain places again or makes them use a license plate that announces it to the world forever. And that happens whether or not those accusations are true.

so tl;dr #metoo is awful and should be stamped out, because at its most basic fundamentals, even with the best of intentions, it is opposed to how our justice system works, and then we get men committing suicide and Broly getting fired the day of his movie debut.

I truly don't understand how stupid these people are. They scream "testimony is evidence" over and over, they claim to have read the standards of the case in that vic needs to PROVE it didn't happen.

That standard being "clear and specific evidence"
So it's not evidence if vic testifies in a clear and specific manner?
How are people hung up over this simple fact? Cognitive dissonance, I know, but come on, you don't need a law degree for this simple logic. If testimony is evidence, all vic needs to do is be clear and specific. Which is not a higher standard in the slightest.

And who you can get money out of ... Ty's been pretty clear low-T Greg will never be sued,
Sabat OTOH ...
It would most likely depend on what happens within the statute of limitations for the lawsuit. Sabat is almost a guarantee that he'll be added, with Schemmel being a possibility depending on his involvement. It's not about getting every person who ever said anything, just the ones who caused the most damage.

They insist - INSIST - that Vic's testimony impeaches itself and he contradicts himself and admits to the claims against him in his depo and affidavit. Which is hilariously blind, considering they also insist that MoRon and Marchi do nothing of the sort, and their different retellings all align on the important parts, so minor differences just don't count.

I don't make it a habit to smell women and their grotesque odors. I'm not sure you know how females work, mate.

Uh..maybe because Sabat managed create such a toxic work environment and likes to shit on people behind their backs and used licensed assets to make a really inappropriate drama using Toei's IP and him just generally being subhuman garbage along with the rest of his butthole licking entourage that now Toei might be thinking of withdrawing from Funimation? And that Sabat and his antics cause Funimation to bleed subs on a regular basis?
Unless you're implying that the den of snakes all want to go down with the ship together because their woke selves don't know how to do business?

I want Funimation to get deleted. Let me dream, goddamn it.

Ya dork, you know what I mean...

But, what I'm suggesting is closer to the latter. They're likely not going to boot Sabat until they're forced to because he's instrumentally useful for them and upper management is likely already complicit with the conspiracy of Sabat's clique. That said... it might be Sony that does such an ousting, but I also find it more likely that if they go that far, they're just going to dissolve Funimation altogether and start looking towards Aniplex instead.

They're not the only one testing out that narrative.

Amazing.

"It was all handled back then". Says who? Certainly not the voice actors, some of whom have been putting themselves in protected mode. Do we have evidence of any warning or sanction? How would it have been handled if these tapes still existed and were able to be leaked? Funimation can't even attest to handling the situation, and wouldn't comment on how they handled the situation at all.

This is curious-- they just flat out made this up.

This is ridiculous. There was no news about this back then. Despite their new sensitivity, they never bothered to delete it after all these years.

The only defense I can see is that they forgot or the new guard never knew about these recordings. Which really doesn't paint them in pretty pics.

I posted this in the audio leak thread but here's someone else claiming all of these leaked before and all the VAs have already apologized for them.

Pack it up guys! These leaks are nothing new. They were leaked before all of this and all the VAs have already apologized for them. Also Vic fans don't know how to read and anyone who's using these as a gotcha are shitty people.
