Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

(Sorry for the long-ass post.)

I get where @Secret Asshole is coming from because anime has such a rocky impression in the States, and that's sadly never going to get fixed. Localization and having to translate untranslatable Japanese phrases and jokes is inevitable anyway you slice it, so that's my biggest disagreement and why I will never fully get behind the "subs only, fuck dubs" rallying cry, although putting in the effort to do the research and at least try to get information across in citations or whatnot would help (ADV Films would do this in some of their booklets, I noticed). The censorship is always bullshit even though if it has to air on television, they have to adhere to FCC standards (no matter how bullshit), although you'd think they'd make everything uncensored for home video release. Outside of children's shows from Saban and 4KIDS' dubs not including the original Japanese track because they just don't have the original masters for whatever reason or can't (although the DVDs are also just so fucking lazily put together, like what the fuck), they're at least included on home video releases and streaming services like Netflix for those who want it. It's baby steps, but it's not fast enough, or they've hit a brick wall years ago and never found a way around it.

But I wanted to add a bit of context to the "Almost no one knew who Vic was" statements that crop up here and there, most recently with one of @Secret Asshole's more recent posts. Yes, it's true that only the autistic of autists would've known of them because the only people who knew of Vic were dub fans (typically FMA and Ouran Host, with some DBZ, Hetalia (I just learned this myself, he's Greece), and D.N.Angel fans here and there), and/or those interested in going into voice-over work. If you're also good at picking up voices and you're proud of that, you become interested in learning more about those whose voice you keep coming across in multiple titles. You might even think it'd be cool to meet them in person because you're interested, if not an out-right fan.

Trying to avoid powerleveling, but I find voice-acting to be quite interesting and for a few years considered trying it out. I've grown up watching a lot of cartoons and anime that I thought it'd be cool to go into animation in some form or another--so I took animation classes and some film classes. But on top of paying closer attention to animation, as a result, I also began paying more attention to voices, and I made a list of my favorite voices across the field, and on both sides of the Pacific. I think there's a lot of talent when it comes to just acting with your voice and bringing a character to life. But it's a niche topic, and for many years, you were mocked for liking cartoons. Animators have had it rough, and voice-acting is considered low-tier by a lot of actors.

Anime dubbing has shit pay, we all know this and it sucks, but unfortunately what exactly can you do about it? The unions don't seem to care about it, either. It's why you don't hear of voice-actors taking it up as a full-time job, it's mostly part-time--if it is full-time, then they have to rely on conventions or hope they can climb the ladder like over in Japanese animation studios where grunt work are like the in-between frames and clean-up animation, and you get better pay/recognition when you become a key animator or director of sorts. And that could be why it is so many of them don't like voice-over work because it doesn't make good pay, and the market is niche enough that you're not going to be on millions of television sets across the country or globe. "I want to be famous!" appears to be the biggest prideful mantra of an actor, or a wannabe actor.

Learning con stories about these actors and what they're like behind the scenes sucks because that breaks the magical illusion of animation. Doug TenNapel saying that at least the LA voice-actors (like those from Animaniacs) are close-knit and a lot of them do like or appreciate their fans/admirers is hopeful, but then hearing about a lot of anime dub actors being real pieces of shit is disheartening just because the work gets the short end of the stick by no fault of their own. It's why I fear the day when/if unflattering stories of those like Richard Epcar, Mona Marshall, Joshua Seth, Ted Lewis, Barbara Goodson and more whose voices I grew up with (albeit in selective roles until adulthood/the Internet) come to my attention, because they had passion I could hear in their voices in many of their roles, passion that I think of when I think of voice-acting.

The fact that Vic's peers hated working with him because he took his job seriously and wanted the best take he could get is without a doubt one of the most bullshit, petty reasons to drag his name in the mud for. Sabat's apparently super proud of his voice (or at least just likes hearing himself) given that he casts himself in all sorts of big roles. What excuses does he and everyone else have for not at least putting in that effort to better themselves in the booth if they wanted to have the same quality as Vic? Why did they hate the fact that Vic kindly and respectfully treated fans who were coming up to his table to get a poster signed? Why do they hold such contempt toward their admirers who open up their hearts to tell them personal stories? They're terrible people, yes, but were they always terrible, or did it build up over time?

To borrow from Shrek, "Ogres are like onions. They have layers." And well, ogres can be either good or bad ogres, but what're the layers that make them so sympathetic or so reprehensible? This is a question that I doubt we'll ever get the answers to, but this could've been avoided had they done some soul-searching.

Some choice clips for anyone who has no idea what I'm talking about when I mean the Devilman OVA dub.

The Devilman dub is great. I'm also partial to the Cyber City dub

I'll... I'll just leave this here... Cause this lady is horrifyingly unhinged.

Well... I guess I'm not a real anime fan. Even though I have a large collection of DVDs/Blu-Rays and merchandise. To be a real fan you have to hate Vic and kiss ass, I guess.

4kids wasn't completely bad, With out 4kids we wouldn't have Pirate Rap opening for one piece, or the ultimate mucle opening song.

The Pirate Rap is a banger. I don't care what anyone says.

Asia Argento.

From Wikipedia:
Argento denied the allegations, claiming that she never had a sexual encounter with Bennett and that when he made a request for money to her, her partner Anthony Bourdainpaid him to avoid negative publicity. On August 22, she released a statement to journalist Yashar Ali, reading: "I strongly deny and oppose the contents of the New York Times article dated 20 August 2018, as circulated also in national and international news. I am deeply shocked and hurt by having read news that is absolutely false. I have never had any sexual relationship with Bennett." A spokeswoman for the Times responded, "We are confident in the accuracy of our reporting, which was based on verified documents and multiple sources." Fellow #MeToo advocate Rose McGowan initially expressed support for Argento and implored others to show restraint, stating, "None of us know the truth of the situation and I'm sure more will be revealed. Be gentle." McGowan faced criticism on social media for her comments, which contradicted the #MeToo movement's message of believing survivors. Following Argento's denials, a photograph of her topless in bed with Bennett was published, as well as her alleged admission of sex with him in text messages to model Rain Dove. In the screenshots, Argento reputedly stated: "I had sex with him it felt weird. I didn't know he was a minor until the shakedown letter." In a letter published online in September 2018, Argento's attorney admitted there was a sexual encounter, but claimed Bennett "sexually attacked" Argento.

I mean, if you've seen Marchi's photobucket dump, you get the feeling like she keeps trying to live like she's 18.

Right. There's a LOT of women in the West like that. They're never forced to grow emotionally once they hit around 8 years old or so, because we, as a culture, decided long ago that girls are somehow special and need to be coddled.

Combine that with the "self esteem, everyone gets a trophy" generation and social media intentionally driving people into bubbles where people never see a dissenting opinion, and uh... Yeah. You have a recipe for sociopath soup.

We have a problem, and I'm starting to wonder how bad it's gonna get before things change. A good recession or actual war would do it -- women are only able to act like this because men can afford to put up with it, after all. A generation or two of the sexes splitting into crazy cat ladies on one side and MGTOW dudes on the other refusing to subsidize them would do it -- but that would play right into the replacement theory asshole's hands, so...

Welp. Shit's fucked, yo.

Still a thot that plays mind games with her boyfriend and then gets upset when he can't deal with them anymore.
Well, Yukana is a thot, so she's still kinda dumb. Plus, in the manga, it's explained that Ranko is the one manipulating Junichi through Yukana.
I think his completely autistic/deranged friends balance that out.
Shinpei is freaking hilarious, Keigo's braindumb and a straight man, but Minoru's a lolicon which is pretty disgusting.
Here are all the English dub voices of Bulma:

If Nick was sued, they would immediately file an injunction so he could keep streaming. I imagine whatever motions to bash that lawsuit in as fast as possible would be invoked as well. I don't even think they'd let it get to jurisdiction. You can try to have it tossed if its frivolous enough. Waid is doing the jurisdictional issues to Myer to make him run out of money. Once that is settled, he'll appeal. Once that's done, he'll file his TCPA. Nick would forgo all that and try to have to lawsuit deleted post haste, with the court as punishing as possible to the litigants.

As I said, the court doesn't really like frivolous lawsuits to quash free speech or a journalist or even opinions, so filing against him would be extraordinarily stupid. The move was a very clear ploy at intimidation to keep him from coming to the hearing, to which Nick doesn't even know if he could go anyway.

Waid actually can't use the TCPA. His fucking around ran the clock out on it as of ~30 hours ago, from what I understand.

And Nick heavily hinted on Twitter that Lady Rackets said he could go, so ... he's apparently going to be there on Friday.

Yu Yu Hakusho is basically the perfect example of doing it right dubbing wise. The lines and the translations flow naturally and fit with the characters. And don't deviate, TOO much from the source material, only when necessary and when the change will help the dialogue flow better.

Quick point of inquiry if I may. What do you think happens when a VA enjoys playing sexualized characters only to have hit "the wall" years ago due to age?

Well, I figured that went without saying, but yes, like with Monica, her lines at cons have grown progressively smaller as she's gotten older and gained more weight. She still does play those characters quite well, though, so she does have a fair number of fans. Honestly, I would consider myself a fan of her work. Not her as a person, mind you, but her voice acting is pretty solid.

People who say: "ONLY THE TRUE FANS SUPPORT ME" are losing. Its because they no longer have any sort of majority and are in the minority and are desperate to cling to any support they have. If you have mobs of people supporting you, you don't need to say it. You can see it. The reason why she's saying it, is that she doesn't see it because its not there. And she's doing anything she can to get any more people over to her side.

This is pretty interesting. Early on, Marchi tweeted that ISWV was only representative of the "1%", and now she's saying this.

But, I mean, what do you expect from bimbos? Call me a misogynist or incel; I could care less. It's been used so often now that it's becoming as meaningless as "Nazi".

I'm a true anime fan because I don't watch horrible, horrible fucking dubs by Americans who can't voice act for shit and make me want to put pincushions in my ears. As well as changing the dubs for a 'western' audience. Fuck that. There's a reason these people get .50 cents an hour and videogame/movie/TV voice actors make bank. Every time I listen to a dub it makes me want to kill myself because the voices are so over-dramatic and fucking terrible, with like 2 or 3 being good, which makes it worse.

Not to mention these people would LOVE to censor the fuck out of anime. So yeah, get fucked and get a lein forever you crazy dumb cunt. I'm rooting for Vic even though I never listen to dubs because these are the types that would dictate what we're allowed to watch and hear, and #metoo anyone who didn't agree. They deserve to be burned to the ground.

EDIT:
Also Vic isn't a public figure, even in Anime circles because I don't listen to dubs and wouldn't have known who the fuck he ever was if he hadn't gotten sued.

Let me say this about dubbing. I liked English dubs back in the 1990s and early 2000s because it sounded like people gave a shit about performance and script rather than doing the same shit over and over again. Something like Cowboy Bebop or GITS:SAC seem to be the highlights of that era, to the point where people actually considered the dubs to be better than the subs. I became interested in anime through Toonami and Adult Swim, when I was a r.etarded little boy. About a decade ago, though, they just stopped being interesting to me and I was more interested in subs. Then I watched the subs of the stuff I used to like the dubs of. My family and friends constantly referred me to the subs of anime. One of my brothers wanted to watch Redline in subtitles.

And that might be due to former anime voice actors doing Western cartoons and video games more, since more money comes from there.

Take Steve Blum, for example. I mentioned him a few times on here. He is probably one of the main reasons English dubs are as big as they are. I like him as an actor. He has a distinct voice that you could identify just by listening to him, he's very versatile, and while he might be a cuckold bitch in real life, he has mad talent. This all makes him more of a public figure than Vic.

But, since he's doing very little in the anime industry now, who's taking his place along with the places of people like him? People you could care so much less about. People who are just 99 cent replicas of the people who kickstarted this stuff. The same could arguably apply with Vic, if you wanted. You can't identify them well in the crowd. No woman can ever top the strong female voice of Mary McGlynn, IMHO. It's just not worth it now.

And these people have the balls to believe that they're real celebrities, meaning that while they're not in California, they share the same tendencies with each other. And it's honestly pretty disgusting.

Dubs have their issues. For example, in the Metal Gear Solid 3 dub (I know it's not anime, but bear with me), the phrase "eject the bullet" was used, which could cause problems as ejecting the bullet could also mean shooting the gun. The term was actually supposed to be "rack the slide".

As a side note, I knew Vic from editing the IMDB page (I do that because I'm a lonely bitch) of one of the Naruto video games and finding out that he did voices from them. I couldn't hear his voice and know that it was him, especially during that time and before.

It always amazes me how these people never actually touch on the issues that affect Japan and instead try to shape a shows message to reflect their, often american, senses and issues. There are so many interesting Japanese cultural, social, and historical nuggets placed into anime by its creators yet I often see so many of these people miss them entirely or rush to think that it's referring to Western things when they go onto their twitters or blogs. It honestly frustrates me how little these people seem to care to actually research or analyze the anime they consume, instead calling it a day at some surface level "deep post" to explain how this show is either horrible problematic or super woke. It reminds me of the time one of the various writers for ANN was writing a review for Sabagebu, a show about airsoft and school girls running around shooting each other with realistic looking guns, instead of actually reviewing the show they just used it as a soapbox to lament american gun culture.

It's Western bigotry. Like how Anita Sarkeesian bitched about Metal Gear and many video games created in Japanese offices, or people complaining about whitewashing in Ghost in the Shell, despite people in Japan being fine with it. The film wasn't good, but not because of that. There were complaints of cultural appropriation during Sony E3 2018 when a white guy played ancient Japanese songs with the flute.

Sarah Jeong was protected because she was an Asian progressive dyed-hair woman working at The New York Times, but deflection and defensiveness occurs when you ask about why Asians have high IQs or why Asians can build civilizations despite Hiroshima and Singapore, or the Chinese presence in Africa, etc.

It's just really interesting seeing these people and their contradictory views of the East.

If I may devil's advocate here for a second:
  • Nick gets sued for some stupid bullshit reason. (Doesn't have to make sense, just has to be plausable enough -- defamation, TI, theft of trade secrets, etc.)
  • Suddenly, Nick is a party to the greater legal action against KickVic.
  • This means that Nick discussing it on his show becomes problematic from an ethics and legal standpoint, if not a legal defense standpoint.
  • They might even demand a gag order or a protection order from a judge if they go the "he's leaking our TRADE SECRETS" angle.
  • Thus, they silence Nick, at least temporarily
Which is their goal. Shutting Nick up. Considering he spent last week completely destroying Ron, Funimation, and when he covers Sabat's Rape Dungeon he keeps at the Otakutron 5000 offices -- you can call it a casting couch if you want, I prefer "Rape Dungeon" -- on tonight's stream, well.

They're probably pretty damned desperate to get him to stop talking by now.

Them attempting to do so in a Federal Court would be interesting because IIRC Nick has said he hasn't taken the bar for Federal cases or ... somesuch. I don't fully understand and may be misremembering. But the takeaway I got is that a Federal Court would require he get an attorney, because Nick doesn't do federal cases.

In addition, by going federal, even if it's bullshit, they might avoid Nick's home state's Journalist Shield laws. At least temporarily -- They would no doubt try to push the case to be tried in Texas, Nick would push to have it in Minnesota, and as we've seen with Meyer vs Waid, jurisdiction games can take fucking forever.

This would be pretty awful considering Nick has, what, five children?

I'll... I'll just leave this here... Cause this lady is horrifyingly unhinged.
I'm going to ignore the rest of this exceptional tweet, which basically says "ONLY MY FANS ARE ANIME FAN ÜBERSMENCH", and does what progressives used to frequently call "othering", at least before Hillary made comments like "deplorables" as they began abandoning most of their senses around 2016.

The "I can vouch" for thing for some reason I can barely explain, tangentially reminds me of something really... off... that can be found in the mentality of basically all the funimation clique and their twitter supporters, as well as some unrelated, but unfortunately similar people I've had the misfortune of observing elsewhere. While the words themselves and vouching for someone obviously isn't weird, I guess that kind of thing on top of their superficiality and double standards really triggered some thinking in me.

One thing the KickVic crowed on twitter seemed very shocked about, was Chuck Huber's affidavit where he say's he does not condone Vic cheating problem.
2.png

The initial from several in KV twitter was "How can someone have a friend and say they don't approve of something you did? NOT A REAL FRIEND?? HOLY SHIT VIC HAS NO FRIENDS!!! NOT EVEN THIS GUY WILL STICK UP FOR HIM LMAO [insert redundant emoji train here]"
If I could find a few of those tweets I would but twitter is so hard to search and I didn't know I'd want examples of that. It's also flooded by pro Vic people tweets now, and a lot of the old minor KV posters seem to have gone silent. Twitter makes me feel confused in general because it's like a schizophrenic hivemind with anger issues and no complete thoughts beamed into my retinas. I don't know how people feel at home there.

There seem to be a common warped view of a friend, as simply someone you can joke around with, who will validate all your choices and opinions, will help hide or at least ignore all your dirt, and will help you do your homework or get promoted. Validation and dirt hiding being very important on that list.

In my mind, a friend will tell you when they think you are going down the wrong path, and isn't obligated to bend their values to yours to form a collective.
Like try to stop you from sleeping around too much when you are famous and attractive and constantly have hot babes lusting after you.
1567474781510.png

The main funimation clique however, it mostly reminds me of people in college joining the LGBT group for INSTANT FRIENDSHIP and then find that they are walking on eggshells to appease whoever has the power in the group, and if they step out of line or leave their gonna get gossiped about. Works for other types of groups too, but LGBT groups seem to be the ones that most often be ruled by a pecking order that keeps you constantly in fear, while appearing the most buddy-buddy with a lot of cute friendship selfies and feel good posturing.

I have some personal issues relating to groups similar to this where a friend I hadn't spoken to in a long time, ask for help because they are trapped in some nightmare Orwellian friend group clique where the wrong post online when you wake up can DESTROY EVERYTHING. Of course, with the power of social media, they all project cute imagery of them all being happy together playing video games and taking selfies various places. I'm sure they would project that if you met them as an outsider in person too.
It turned out that the two most influential people in that group (there was about 10 members, plus a handful of orbiters) had some really horrible and bizarre skeletons in the closet, fueled by general hatred and perversion.
Not going to expound any more than I need to because I'm not going to blab about things my friend told me privately or powerlevel. It's just an interesting example that comes to my mind quickly about cursed social interaction.

Something these people seem to have in common frequently is poor outside connections and crippling insecurity. Like the clique is your life, your parents don't want you around because you're not a mathematician with a minor in Russian like they hoped, and that one kinda girlfriend in highschool broke up with you, so this is IT. No one else will like you... only the clique and their false promises of importance and love stands between you and the abyss.
well actually I think the kind of person in that situation simply thinks "NO ONE WILL LIKE ME ANYMORE *cries*" and doesn't really add any more words than that in their internal monologue.

I've never observed a cursed friend group where money and company positions are involved.
That's got to be a whole 'nother level of bitterness and backstabbing that I lack the processing power to mentally model in my mind.
High functioning nutso adult children can get insane enough to where you worry about someone getting into a fingernail fight when it's only small levels of local social approval on the line.

Anyway, have you ever observed a tight knit clique where the members repeat this joke:
"we have so much dirt on each other we have no choice, hehe!"
Never got why that was funny, but maybe it was a deep cry for help. I've seen it a few places from a certain type of clique, and they would say that line more often than a boomer guy proud of his Mickey Mouse impersonation would flex his Mickey voice around kids.
I wonder if anyone else has seen a clique use that joke before, and if they had the same "creepy people who never mentally left high school energy"
If this is true, and not just a joke (and I've never seen a happy, normal seeming person say that), then I wonder if it applies to the funimation clique. It think it probably does.
if so...
wow there is a LOT of dirt going to be dropped when they start turning on each other wow.

I have feeling that these people have a warped view of friendship based on fear and group think.
...and a lack of appreciation for truth and love in general.

Yeah this isn't really related to Marchi's tweet much besides I guess kind of being about people like Marchi, but for some reason I had an explosion of barely organized thoughts after reading it.
hopefully this long thought vomit of a post doesn't give anyone a headache lol

So Stan talked about a VA who dated other VAs and a Funi employee.

It was Monica.

Specifically Guardiola, Chris Patton then Rawly Pickens.

... So is that better or worse?

She dated Patton? Impossible. He identifies as bisexual but hes extremely homosexual...maybe she turned him exclusively gay

Well, Yukana is a thot, so she's still kinda dumb. Plus, in the manga, it's explained that Ranko is the one manipulating Junichi through Yukana.

Oh fudge, Wendee Lee voiced her in the Harmony Gold dub? BLEH! Fuck that company, if there's any dubbing company worse than Funimation that still exists, it's Harmony Gold!

Yeah, I don't know where the impression that Yukana plays games with Junichi is coming from. She's the classical 'looks like a slut but is actually a bit of a shy virgin' trope from anime with a layer of bimbo dropped on top. Ranko is the one who is the tease trying to mess with the MC.

I think the dub is quite funny, though. I think it handles Junichi being freaked out by Minoru better than the sub does.

I don't think Ocean or Harmony Gold or any of those should make a comeback, as they are just...not great dubs. They gave dubs the bad name they have now. Handing it off to Aniplex/Sony/Sentai would be better.

If the Chris Sabat casting couch claims are true, I would assume there should be:

* Instances of a talented but unattractive voice actress being replace with younger more attractive one - could be chance or other legitimate reason. Or not.
* Mid-series actress replacements
* Well known actresses for specific parts that we passed over for lesser known and more attractive. Without some internal leak or affidavit most likely impossible to prove it was a Sabat casting couch instance.

Perhaps the floodgates are about to open with Sabat allegations and non of this even matters. But the woke anime press is clearly holding back running with the claims about Sabat compared to what they would be pushing if Sabat was the right type of target.
The one thing for me that casts doubt on the sabat/casting couch thing is...monica is a fucking horse. and a Clydesdale at that.

Unpopular opinion, but I really enjoyed the dub for season 1 of jojo's bizzare adventure.
I ironically like the dub of season 1 and 2, haven't watched the others. Its cheesy 90s English dubs, but Jojo is cheesy and hamfisted. So it fits, but normally I'd be annoyed. Its weird.

I once met monica at a con three or four years back.
I thought she was okay. She's got a decent vocal range. I kinda kicked myself for not getting an autograph at the time or recording the panels.
I went to two panels she did. This was at shutocon, I wanna say shutocon 2016?

She had this panel where we were supposed to be working on some arts and crafts while she talked about her personal life or some shit like that, they didn't get the supplies on time so she made do with what she had. Food. And handed it out.

Surprisingly, people asked questions about her personal life (considering the fact that she had several panels on what its like as a professional, I think most of them were shared, maybe its not that surprising). Dunno if this was shared before, but her brother apparently playtests video games. Some roles Monica does she doesn't know what the actual name of the game or anime is till it comes out, or so she said.

Wish I recorded the whole thing, but meh. It was nothing really horrible to be quite honest, just her sucking up to a bunch of fans and giving them snacks while blabbing about herself.

Waid actually can't use the TCPA. His fucking around ran the clock out on it as of ~30 hours ago, from what I understand.

It ran out a couple weeks ago, not because of the deadline but because the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled that the TCPA doesn't apply in federal court cases in diversity, and Meyer v. Waid is in the Fifth Circuit.

SJWs are pretty much not human. They are incapable of grasping that someone can be someone's friend without fully approving of them or sharing every single opinion, like some kind of hive insect.

For.

1. Being likeable.
2. Not being a degenerate asshole who thinks posting on twitter and acting like fool makes him a wiseman.
3. having a family that loves him.
4. Being Competent and good at his job.
5. For having a "real" sense of justice, and not just following a movement because a #toldhimitto,

The list can go on and on for all the petty reasons.
Question is, would Nick simply defend himself in the suit, or would he ramp up the levels of assmad by retaining a lawyer and doing a GFM for his legal fees?

One thing the KickVic crowed on twitter seemed very shocked about, was Chuck Huber's affidavit where he say's he does not condone Vic cheating problem.

This shouldn't be surprising, as it is the dominant form of leftist political thought and has been for centuries. It's why you have gay pride parades, as if it's some sort of major accomplishment to like it up the rear. It's why you need to boycott Chick-fil-A because the founder thinks wrong things, or the inventor of Javascript can no longer work on your shitty browser. It's why you must use a person's preferred pronoun or you're a hateful bigot, and why Captain Marvel is the greatest superhero movie ever, Lady Ghostbusters was only hated by misogynists, and man-babies can't handle a female Jedi. Everything must be constant validation, otherwise you are making the environment "unsafe" and will get a visit from the Stasi who may have you shipped off.

This is just the totalitarian mindset at work in the personal sphere. You see these relationships, you know none of them have any actual friends, and...

...wait... I just saw this episode. These people are the spider demon clan from Kimetsu no Yaiba. They're a bunch of Ruis who can never have a real human bond, and so replace it with fear.

Where in Chuck's affidavit does he say Vic is a 'huge Trump supporter'? All he says is that Vic suffered discrimination because of his 'support of Trump'. For all they know, that means Vic voted for Trump instead of Hillary (in California, so his vote meant nothing) and is wont to say milquetoast things like 'I just want our president to succeed, because it would be worse for everyone if he doesn't'.

I know the people involved in this push are stupid, but they're really barking up the wrong tree considering his most conservative standpoint is 'I don't like signing yaoi'.

Wait, was he on the staircase thing or not? I heard about his dumb accusations (and scoffed at them) before all this broke.

Linda Young was replaced by the not-gay brother of Greg Ayres, I doubt that it has anything to do with the casting couch. It's more likely to have been influenced by what TFS was planning for Frieza (as Greg's version is almost identical to TFS' version) than anything else. She's also an older woman, so it's unlikely.

We can't know what Jdolf has to say, because he is hiding away in a protected account he's vigilantly guarding his followers for.

It's pretty decent for an action romcom.

This has been discussed before. They claim that the trailer dropped with too short notice to get Vic to do the dubbing. Supposedly Vic knew and was okay with it, but this was all second-third hand discussion. Vic wasn't involved in the discussion on Twitter about it at all. Most likely Sabat voiced Broly in the trailer, as people were asking/hoping if he was going to be Broly in the new movie, and he said it wasn't in his hands.

Neil “God I wanna snuggle.” Kaplan is indeed on the Broken Staircase List like Niosi, Todd, and Vic are on that piece of shit list~ Even if you found his accusations scoff-worthy, it was pretty goddamn funny watching the fucker go from “IMMA LIE ON VIC AND BOAST ABOUT HOW I ALWAYS HATED HIM, THIS IS MY TRUTH!” to “B-B-BUH THIS IZ A MISUNDERSTANDING, GIMME A BIT TO EXPLAIN MYSELF!” before he slunk away like the feckless maggot he was / is / shall always be from this mess in record time.

You can thank Soye for that.
