The win on Zoe doesn't come from her failing in the conventional sense. She's got too much of a support network of useless fucks for that. Don't let that discourage you though - like
@AnOminous said, this is Zoe's Vade moment, the part where she begins her long slide into the proverbial basement.
Why is very simple: no matter how influential you are, nobody lasts particularly long once you having a body count is a known quantity. Publicly, none of Blowey Zoe's associates will ever acknowledge anything happened. But we've
seen this before. Privately, they'll be seeking, albeit slowly, to disassociate with her - not because they don't approve of or agree with what she's done, but because they don't want the public scrutiny that comes with associating with her.
From this point onwards, every single time one of her allies will try to boost her public profile, her critics are going to bring up this suicide, and they are
never going to let this go. It doesn't matter how curated the area she gets supported on is - every single time, "Zoe killed this guy" is going to be following her around. Just like with Benjanun Sriduangkaew and Vade, her connections will start freezing her out because none of them want the spotlight on them. They'll still support her publicly, but behind the scenes, they'll be trying to distance themselves from her, which may or may not eventually cause Zoe to lash out at them in response.
An amusingly ironic fate if ever there was one.
To get a grasp of where she's really at, take a look at the army of autistic bumblefucks that serve as her cult, and look at the sheer
volume of damage control they're currently trying to do on her behalf at the moment to basically no avail. They're burying the lead to be sure, but more and more people I've never fucking heard of are coming out of the woodwork to condemn Quinn, at a rate that hasn't been seen since GG.
Zoe's supporters are being stretched thin on the ground, and most of them are trying the time-honored "If we don't acknowledge that we fucked up, then we never fucked up" approach, but there's been complete fucking meltdowns in the ranks as well as they try to outdo themselves claiming Zoe did nothing wrong, while Zoe's more ardent supporters struggle to keep dissension in the ranks down. They're losing the Normies, and they're losing them
hard.
The absolutely amazing part is that Zoe is now meeting the
exact same fate Brianna Wu did back during GG itself - specifically, when Wu tried the "I'm being harassed!" maneuver after Anita and Zoe had already done so. No one bit at Brianna Wu's bait until she'd made an idiot and spectacle of herself, and by that point all she attracted was ridicule. To compare, Zoe's now trying the time honored tactics she's always done, only to find them less effective because she did this far too late, when we already have seen multiple metoo backfires. She did this shit after shit like ProJared, and people have turned Zoe into a living embodiment of why cancel culture needs to fucking die. She can't run from that.
She can try to hide from it, but again, every time she pops her head above water - something she
needs to do to maintain her public profile and victimbux intake - some asshole's going to immediately bring up Alec's suicide, and the usual counter-arguments will fall upon deaf ears.
