Nick Rekieta's Weeb Wars videos & livestreams - MULTIPLE SLURS

So finally saw the stream. A few thoughts:

1. After finally hearing about the case from a not KV stooge, I'm less critical of Ty and more of Chupp. Ty still boomered though.

2. Chupp had a case appealed from 7 YEARS AGO. If this case has that many seasons I expect Nick to dump Ty's body in the water and become a lumberjack.

3. If Ty knew about the previous appeal he should have had Carey go up there and talk about Jesus or something.

4. I found a pic of Lemoine's pedo smile. You know it's authentic because he's purple from lack of oxygen.

Pretty sure Lemoine smiled at Nick because Lemoine, once the case gets past TCPA, is going to try to use all these appearances of Nick at his office and at the case and ect to argue its 'convenient' for him to come to Texas to be deposed about something that has no real relation to the case.

Because Lemoine is a total sack of trash

The fact that Nick doesn't have any control over the gfm funds (as well as Ty who only has limited control) hurts their Nick=grifter narrative.
If Nick, who created the gfm, doesn't have control of the funds, and Ty doesn't, and neither does Vic, who tries to distance himself from it as much as possible, then who does?

After Nick showed the affidavit of Stan Dahlin on July 18th, he said that he had something brewing that would make the affidavit look like a good day for Monica, Ron, Jamie and FUNimation.

I thought it would have come out by the TCPA, but unless I'm forgetting something, I don't he ever shared what that was.

Part of me wonders if it has something to do with Stephanie Nadolny. I know he always waits to corroborate his sources, but I wouldn't put it past him if he already had some insider knowledge as was (and probably still is) waiting on confirmation. Does make you wonder though.

Well there's the MoRonica's texts to Kamehacon, but who knows what could really be. He didn't show those particular receipt though, so giving the exceptionalism of this case, I can imagine it's something bigger than that. But that's just me.

In any case, we'll see what else does Stan have to say. I knew he was on TUG's show but I can hardly stand TUG anymore, so I'll just wait until he shows on Nick's instead.

You didn't miss much from Stan on TUG's stream. Mostly Tug trying to drag dirt out of Stan on potential banned voice actors from cons and coax him into any dirt he could get on other Funimation voice actors for streams. Tug jumped around topics a lot but he kept coming back to that as nonchalant as tug can be.

Stan tried to stay fairly neutral and didn't get off on any tangents to slag anybody. He maintained that he knew what these voice actors we're like in private and made a general appeal for them to stop doing what they are doing. He did mention going through his documents about the Rial claim of the alleged hotel room incident and said he keeps documents on everything.
.

I know her account only recently started tweeting, but I'm referring to his insider at Funimation who may have relayed the story. The tweets may have just been further (albeit later) confirmation, yet he's waiting to hear it from her. Just a hypothetical, obviously.

Didn't Ty also mention that there's something like that?

I'm guessing Nick and Ty are waiting to have some overwhelming evidence. The Funimation leaks didn't quite set the fire we expected (unless it is smouldering.) So whatever comes next has to be air tight.

Or alternatively losing the TCPA shook them a bit so they need a victory before going scorched Earth again.

The casting couch victims may have gotten spooked as another alternative.

Since people are wondering about what Nick will cover during the appeal process, Projared has hinted that he's going to get legal on his false accusations, and all the weirdo poly stuff would make for a fun video.

I've also seen some comments on Reddit about people wanting him to debate David Graham (UltraDavid). That might be fun

I'm thinking any cons that detered vic or want to stay in good with Sabat aren't going to be giving Ty any info. Kamehacon got a raw deal so they had no problem giving up the info.

Where would any leftover funds go?
There won't be any leftover funds.

I only caught the stream after an hour and a half, but the most concerning part of what I saw was the admission that: should the final judgment not yield favorable results, it would go to appeals, and Nick seemed to suggest the crowdfunding would need to progress further to bankroll that.

I don't know how much more money can be ringed out of this, and if it doesn't ultimately yield favorable results, it would be very hard for anyone to spin it as a win for Vic just because he can still go to conventions if people are out $200,000. If that's really the goal, hire a cheaper lawyer maybe? Perhaps it will be a win for Vic, but it will be a loss for the audience who genuinely wanted to see some form of justice. Calling it a win for Vic at this stage is reminiscent of Bush declaring Mission Accomplished in 2003.

I'm also bothered by the expression "I don't care what [opposition figure] says. I don't care." That's clearly untrue. So much emotional and professional capital is invested in proving people wrong on Twitter on both ends. If you don't care, why spend so much time having public arguments with people? I don't watch every stream but I clearly remember in the times I did watch that there was space dedicated to criticizing people's messages on Twitter even there.

Even Ty is emotionally invested in this with constant appearances on Nick's show. "We'll be in touch." is now 100 tweets, multiple livestream appearances, and a merchandise line featuring t-shirts that say "Damnit Nick we lost the case again", which is going to look a lot like the now-bankrupt Milo Yiannopoulos selling t-shirts saying "stop being poor" if this asshole doesn't course correct immediately.

1,200 pages is fucking preposterous. No one in the history of the world has ever read anything 1,200 pages long. Ever. Anyone who claims they've read something 1,200 pages long is a fucking liar. Filing last second to be cheeky is a really cute move in the world of Twitter politics but if anyone ever put on my desk 1,200 pages of anything -- even 1,200 pages of thousand dollar checks for me to cash -- on as short a notice as possible, I would be fucking livid.

Law is a flawed and emotional machine disguised as an empirical science. Surely, based on the written law, the case law, and the facts of the case outcome XYZ is guaranteed. In a perfect world, sure. In the real world, not really.

This setback would be a lot more tolerable to me if it wasn't other people's money and the arrogance on display.
