I'll admit right off the bat that I was a giant Gamergate fag for a long time, until the whole thing fell apart not long after Metokur bailed. I got into it for a number of reasons. The press were biased liars, the shit that Zoe pulled on Eron was fucked up (and even more fucked because she was given a pass on it) and because I was tired of watching people try to turn gaming into some kind of warped propaganda apparatus.

The thing is, I was fully aware that we were never going to come out as the "winners" in that whole shit show. I think that most people involved realized that you would never truly win against the people that craft the narrative, and thus hold the power. You'd have been foolish to think that.

The point was that you just had to take a fucking shot, even if you knew you would lose. At least fight back instead of just letting them beat you down day after day, because at least then you could say that you tried. Realistically speaking, nothing will likely happen to Zoe over this. Probably not. But this shit is fucked up and we all know it. We can at least try.

At least then we can maintain some sort of dignity and say that we tried. I hate where these culture wars are going and I know you all do too. I'm just sick of this shit.

The townsfolk can only be terrorized by the witch in the forest for so long. Then they band together and burn her.
Is this going to happen soon? Probably not. But that day is drawing closer and closer.

We are archiving all of her misdeeds for two reasons:
1) In case we inspire some anonymous hacker to break into her shit and image her hard drives and social media DMs, which assuredly has enough incriminating shit to get her brought up on charges and/or destroy her public image.
2) When one of her targets inevitably snaps and literally kills her, we'll have a nice long file for the purposes of Jury Nullification.

I'm not promoting the idea that anyone physically harm her at all. What I'm saying is that this woman has done so much harm, that if I was on the jury of the person who caved in her skull with a baseball bat, my vote would be Not Guilty -- no matter how "brutal" her end was.

I won't go so far as to say that Zoe will get off scott-free with 100% certainty, but the factors that would result in her being abandoned by her army of useful idiots would probably not come about for a while, and by then, I don't think she'd be relevant. A massive cultural shift would have to take place, one that would swing back from the weird social justice-flavored puritanism that we've been dealing with for most of this decade, and by the time that happens (probably into the 2020's), Zoe might have gone into hiding with all those suckers protecting her, or she'll just be forgotten. Or possibly adopt a new persona that goes with whatever is popular at that moment.

The other option would be like, some kind of extraordinary, unforeseen circumstance that would completely throw a wrench into Zoe's game plan that would lead to her getting #cancelled, though I have no idea what such a circumstance would be. I struggle to think of a single person that could call her out and get her people to turn on her like they turned on Alec.

If celebrities can kill people with cars and still get work, who even knows, man?
