In some areas, there is mandated reporting to law enforcement even if there isn't evidence of a crime, or mandatory law enforcement investigations. In other areas even where this is not the case, a belief of mandated law enforcement involvement may exist. The social stigma, combined with a fear of potential mandatory law enforcement involvement deters people from getting help. When you seek help, you are classed as offending until proven otherwise.
Far more people get help when they are guaranteed confidentiality and they are aware reporting is not mandated if there is no evidence or admission to any crime. This is seen in Germany's project Dunkelfield, which is an anti pedophillia therapy initiative designed for people suffering from pedophillia who truly wish to be free of their urges without offending. Germany is allowed to have such a program for two key reasons, that reporting is not mandatory unless there is evidence of a crime (pedophillia in and of itself is not sufficient evidence) and that they have some of the toughest medical confidentiality laws in the world.

What I have learned so far is that his birthday is June 15th, 2003 from this screencap of his profile and from him admitting he was 16
Also know from his curious cat profile that he is black
But besides that, I couldn't find anymore personal information on him that could lead to his real name.
Also, he wanted to have sex with his grandma's corpse so uhhhh, there's that.

Honest question, I'm wondering if anyone here has studied mental health who knows this.
Is there a reason that something like CBT can't help these people? No pun intended, I swear. I actually have wondered for awhile why people act like pedophilia is innate and untreatable. I would assume that frequent thoughts about having sex with children could be treated like any other intrusive thoughts, or that weird ideas about consent could be treated as any other cognitive distortion. I guess I don't understand why a depressed person's brain thinking things like "I'm a worthless, hopeless fuckup who deserves to die" is considered treatable, but pedophilia isn't.
Well, this is assuming they haven't hurt anybody. If they have, they need more than just therapy. But I'm talking in the case of people who say they can't change and it's no different from being straight or gay.

And who was he invited to the forum by? A guy who goes by 'terminus'. That's the handle used by Jeremy Malcolm, the founder of the organization.
Their website also contains reviews of various materials attractive to pedophiles and other sexual minorities. At the bottom of one newsletter, an ad for a series of incest novels which evades the horrible censors by adding 'step-' in front of the first few instances of 'daughter' and 'father'. Currently on their website, an advertisement for a screening of a 2017 movie that provides a really nuanced take on the abuse of a 13 year old girl.
A question I have never asked myself, what with not being a pedophile and all.
I'm torn as to what the motivations are for these people. The newsletters may shed a clue. They're San Francisco based and have whinged about things like Craigslist's prostitution ads being forced to be taken down, which suggests they may be motivated solely by Silicon Valley self-interest. I imagine that there are many VC's who would be champing at the bit to finance some VR child sex games to make money off the pedophile market, just as long as it's all legal and they get to keep their profits. Also entirely possible they're just libertarians (pedophiles) of course.

The biggest issue is that for any kind of therapy to work, the patient has to be motivated to change. They have to agree with the therapist to at least try out some changes and see where it goes. They have to want to manage their moods better, or get along better with their spouse, or stop drinking--whatever the purpose is, if they aren't into it, it's just like lecturing a brick wall. And while these pedos may CLAIM they wish they weren't this way, I think for most of them, that's clearly not the case. Especially if they are trying to get us to believe it is a deeply ingrained trait that it's pointless to try to change. They want excuses, not real change and improvement.

There's options out there, but you still see a lot of these sick bastards talk about working in or aspiring to work in childcare in some manner. How many ensure that their outside pursuits involve as few children as possible? Probably even less.
Their actions prove they are not serious about their professed beliefs.
