The guy who loves credit cards bought a second home, invested big numbers in daily restaurant visits the same week they arrived in WA, bought new furniture, art, uncountable figurines and merchandise, two internet lines, a second car, still devours in restaurants, rented a hotel room near his own home, buys all kinds of unnecessary shit when he whines poor (including a cat), flies over his soulmaid multiple times instead of paying his taxes, spends his money on mobile game transactions, buys external hard drives to save his garbage videos,...

Oh yes, I believe that. This guy has probably four times as much bills as most people because he has the worst spending habits.

This is the way I approach anything that Phil says for which he provides no evidence: it is likely true, technically, but it is also likely overblown in whatever way will benefit him most. I'm sure he has some credit card debt, but a dozen accounts or whatever he's said? No. Credit agencies are predatory but they're not stupid. Just like I'm sure he was possibly screwed on his taxes one or two years but not nearly to the degree he claims and not to the extent that he's still somehow paying for it now.

Phil is too lazy to formulate lies from nothing. He just embellishes what's already true into something much more catastrophic and uses those stories to garner sympathy from the idiotic and the naive. He can't stop himself from doing it, either. Even when it comes to something every adult would have experience with, like having a cold, he can't help but weave it into a tale of him nearly dying of bubonic plague, even though anyone could watch his behavior and realize he's malingering.

I thought the consensus was that he was kiting the credit card debt from card to card until the promotional low interest rate ran out on each successive card, so now he has all the debt on the last card that he was able to get.

That's pretty much right, but if his credit is remotely as bad as he says, he may have finally hit a wall of some kind such that he got stuck paying the interest on one or more cards.

Yeah presumably the credit card debt is one of the many monthly bills he is complaining about. I wish he was more specific in his begging, he no longer even specifies what bills are stressing him any more like he used to (ie the "electric bill, internet bill" meme quote). He just whines nebulously about "da bills"

By design. Now when he wants money for something, he just brings up "DA BILLS" and some naval-gazer will immediately drop the cash.

What are the odds that Phil has a spreadsheet with all the top whales on it ? that has all the info on them like how much they donated and the last time.
and when stream tips are low he hits them up and cry's them a sad song that he needs to pay bills but can't.
one can only wonder if would hit them up occasionally or all at the same time with one mass email.

All the major whales show up on a semi-regular basis, so he just keeps up the "woe is me" narrative all the time. I do think PlanetJeff told him about the $1000 ahead of time for the Jasper "reveal", but I don't think that's a consistent thing.

As far as the spreadsheet goes, I doubt it. Undertale is on his desktop and he played it over three and a half years ago. I'm pretty sure there's a snap of his bare desktop with steam minimized here, that shows the lewd Panda, but I think it also revealed that he has either Open or LibreOffice installed. I just don't think he'd put that much effort into milking even the biggest of paypigs. Like with tut, just play some SFV and pray. Or, with Emerald Seven, it would be reasonable to conclude they had some sort of contact, he also didn't change any of his behavior, as far as I could tell.

He made reference once to not having paid them "all". Given that he's not said a word about not being able to pay them, I would bet he's paid at least some of them, though I will be shocked if he doesn't hold at least 3 "pay my taxes" events.

Of course he hasn't paid them, he has fancy restaurants to eat at. What, you think he's gonna use all the money he gets to PAY TAXES? He needs to relax after a hard days work dood! He has a lavish lifestyle to live!

He doesn't live a $100K a year lifestyle. He lives a $50K a year lifestyle. He could quit streaming and get a job that paid $35K a year if he'd make Kat use her $15K a year towards the household. If he declared bankruptcy with a reduced income he has a very good chance of getting a judge to lower his payments to match his newly lowered income and he'd save literally $75K on his credit card debt.

I've updated this post with missing and updated information. DSP's average income for 2018 was almost identical to his average income so far this year, based on what we understand of it today.

Nah, his 1/4 Italian heritage won't allow a wahmen to pay any bills in this new modern age. He's retro, and the gout man of the house--he pays the bahills.

Another note, people hear "Connecticut" and expect a huge mortgage payment. His place has an estimated $228 monthly payment (if it's not paid off already). I'd wager it's paid off and now a "investMAt" property and just pays property taxes. It's already been speculated (the aunt i think?) rents the place. Even $600 rent covers payments and that's cheap.
